Glen R. Walker
Glen Roger Walker, age 79, of rural Lake Crystal, Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 – 5 p.m., Sunday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
Glen R. Walker was died Friday, January 7, 2005 at Mankato House Health Care Center. Memorial services will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, with Rev. Steve Kosberg officiating.
Richard Hall
Richard A. Hall, age 77, of North Mankato, MN, born on December 31, 1927 in St. Paul. He was the son of Thomas and Jane (Alfveby) Hall. Richard was a 1945 graduate of Wilson High School in St. Paul. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947 in Japan, and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal. Richard was united in marriage to Carol Knutson in 1951 in Minneapolis. They later divorced in 1977. Richard was a 1955 graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental School. He was united in marriage to Carol (Orchard) Klopp on August 8, 1984 in Red Wing. Richard retired in 2002 following 47 years of dental practice in St. Clair and Mankato. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Mankato, where he served as an usher and deacon. Richard was a charter member of the Civil Air Patrol, where he attained the rank of Major. He was also a member of the Mankato Flying Club and the Mankato Kiwanis.
Richard is survived by his wife, Carol Hall of North Mankato; four children, Shelley (Tom) Fix of Champlin, Lynn Wilkman-Hall of Cleveland, Richard (Amy) Hall of Twentynine Palms, CA, Brent (Tami) Hall of Reynolds, IA; three step-children, Amy (Richard) Hall of Twentynine Palms, CA, Jessica (Kenneth) Wolf of Argentina, Nathan (Ginie) Klopp of Apple Valley; seventeen grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Hall of Albuquerque, NM.
He was preceded in died Friday, April 29, 2005 at the Mankato Lutheran Home.
Memorial service will be 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Mankato, with Rev. Steve Kosberg officiating. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Monday at Mankato Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Echo Food Shelf or Hosanna Lutheran Church.
Helen was death by her parents and her husband, Howard.
Amy Amundson
Amy I. Amundson, age 97, of Shepherdstown, WV and formerly of Mankato, Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at church on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements are being handled by Mankato Mortuary.
Survivors include three children, Rachel (Dale) Pegel of Marshall, MN, Melva Jean (Clinton) Simpson of Martinsburg, WV, Allen Amundson of Anoka, MN; 12 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and 15 step great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at the Mankato House Health Care Center, Mankato.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at SS Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church with Fr.Ted Hottinger S.J. as celebrant. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 29 at Woodland Hills Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to the service at the church. born January 15, 1929 in Amboy, MN (Blue Earth County) to Thomas and Catherine (Pfeffer) Caven
On May 8, 1951 Teresa death by her parents; husband, Dwight; 4 sisters, Sister Mary Catherine Caven SSND, Bonnie FitzSimmons, Sister Eileen Caven, SSND, and Margaret who died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato with Rev. John Petersen, officiating. born October 17, 1946 in Slayton, MN to Mae McConnell Miller. He death by his son, Troy Douglas DeBough in 1988 and his half brother.
Robert A. Farley Jr.
Robert Allan Farley Jr., age 40 of Madison Lake, Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and from 3:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mt. Olive School and MVL High School.
Bob was born on May 25, 1964 to Robert and Nancy (Longston) Farley in DeKalb, IL. He grew up in Phillips, WI, where he and his two brothers, Matt and Tom, had an adventurous childhood full of northwood’s fun and water skiing on the lake. Bob graduated from Phillips High School in 1982 and earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from U of M in 1988. His battle with cancer started in 1982, resulting in a below the knee amputation. He carried on his father’s business representing Phillips Plastics. From there, he formed Farley Group, LLC and was blessed with tremendous professional satisfaction.
Bob was united in marriage to Marie Eppeland on October 13, 1990 and lived in Wisconsin for 11 years. Their marriage was blessed with three wonderful children, Lauren, Michaela, and Samuel, whom are all blessed with specific characteristics from him that will always live on, Lauren, her calm temperament, Michaela, her big heart of love and brown eyes, and Samuel, his beautiful mind.
Bob was diagnosed with colorectal cancer six and a half years ago. He beat every odd the doctors gave him and made every day a gift from God. His unwavering faith will serve as a reminder of the one thing that is most important in life. We’ll see you in heaven, Bob…it’s just a “blink of an eye”. Love you forever.
Robert is survived by his wife, Marie; three children, Lauren, Michaela, and Samuel Farley all of Madison Lake; parents, Robert and Nancy Farley of Bonita Springs, FL: brother, Matthew (Maribeth) Farley of Lutsen, MN; sister-in-law, Christine Wippermann of Milwaukee, WI; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Myrna Eppeland; grandmother, Ruth Eppeland; two sisters-in-law, Chris (Dr. Steve) Pitcher, Vonnie (Dan) Gratz all of St. James, MN; brother-in-law, Roy (Connie) Eppeland of Texas; nieces and nephews, Hunter, Andy, Gavin, Austin, Morgan, Alex, Erik and Aaron; aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course, Vinnie, Bob’s loyal canine namesake that won over his heart.
