Elnora Rose Davis
Elnora Rose Davis, age 91, of Lake Crystal, Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Lake Crystal. Lake Crystal Mortuary is handling arrangements.
Elnora was born to William and Esther (Backer) Hamann. They were children of pioneer German settlers of Brown County, MN, who came to Minnesota in the mid 19th century. Elnora went to country school, but only after her brothers and sisters taught her to speak English. She made it through the 8th grade, but then had to go to work “because there were to many mouths to feed.” Elnora then moved with her parents to New Ulm as a teenager and died in 1977. Elnora was blessed with good health until this past month. She has remained in Lake Crystal, living in her own home on Humphrey St. since Virgil’s death by husband, and 10 siblings.
Bernice R. Mutch-Wittrock
Bernice R. Mutch-Wittrock, age 79, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of North Mankato, Cemetery, Mankato.
Rita Marie Krampf, age 87 of Mankato and formerly of Duluth, born December 19, 1916 in Pittsburgh, PA to Edward and Hilda (Leindecker) Hartung. She was united in marriage to George W. Krampf on March 30, 1940 in Pittsburgh. George death by her husband; a granddaughter, Katie Poirier; three brothers, Edward, Walter and William; and a sister, Ruth.
Marion T. Carr
Mankato resident, Marion T. Carr, age 75, born June 12, 1928, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to William and Lillian (Williams) Carr. He graduated from Butler High School in Ft. Dodge. His college years were at Northern Iowa University (1950).
Shirley Stevens
Shirley Jean Stevens, age 72, of Mankato, died Sunday, December 28, 2003 at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be at 11 am on Friday, January 2, 2004 at Faith Lutheran Church in Janesville.
Visitation will be from 3-5 on Thursday, January 1, 2004 at Faith Lutheran Church in Janesville and will continue for one hour prior to the service on Friday. Inurnment will be at Woodland Hills Columbarium in Mankato.
Elizabeth Rollings
Elizabeth Dorothy “Toddy” Rollings, age 75, of Lake Crystal, died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at the Mankato Lutheran Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato with Rev. Edward Ardolf officiating. Burial will be in Calvary died Thursday, December 25, 2003 at the Ah Gwah Ching Health Care Center in Ah-Gwah-Ching, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary died Wednesday, December 24, 2003, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2003, at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Mary Iverson officiating. Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
Alice Hanson
Alice J. Hanson, age 84, of Lake Crystal, Interment will be in Lake Crystal died suddenly on Christmas Day, following a valiant two and a half year battle with leukemia.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2003 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Mankato with Rev. Dean Wolf officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the services at the church on Monday. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Hiller
Robert L. “Bob” Hiller, age 50 of Mankato Interment in Barnard’s Valley View died Monday, December 22, 2003 at her residence.
Funeral services 10:30 a.m. Friday at Garden City Baptist Church, Garden City, MN with Rev. Harvey Hallada officiating. Cemetery. Visitation one hour before services at church on Friday. Lake Crystal Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Charleen was born May 14, 1958 to Charles and Alice (Rambo) Kendall. She graduated from Mankato East High School.
