Peter and Paul Catholic died Monday, May 1, 2006, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in St. James. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday May 4 at LaSalle Lutheran Church. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Pease Funeral Home in St. James and one hour before services Thursday at the church.

Harriett M. James
Harriett Maryan James, age 79, of Champlin and formerly of Mankato, Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2006 at Bethel Baptist Church in Mankato with Rev. David Banfield, officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood born on September 1, 1926, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Edgar and Gladys (Sutten) Kauffmann. She was a 1944 graduate of Mankato High School. She was united in marriage to Hugh James on July 15, 1951 in Mason City, Iowa. Prior to her marriage she owned Kaufmann Taxi Company and also worked for Montgomery Wards. After her marriage she was a homemaker for her family. Harriett was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, the Ladies of the Moose, and a former Rebecca member. She enjoyed ceramics, volunteering at thrift stores, reading, and playing cards.
Harriett is survived by three children, Cheryl James and Ronald Scholzen of Champlin, Joel James of Mankato, Scott (Wendy) James of Mankato; daughter-in-law, Jan Clegs of Portland, OR; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at his home. Services are 11 a.m. Monday May 8 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park. Visitation is 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo, with a 6:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary. Visitation continues one hour before services Monday at the church.
George Abdo
George Fayez Abdo, age 26, of Mankato funeral service for family and friends will be held privately. A public visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary with a 4 p.m. prayer service. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
George was married Amanda Jensen on October 6, 2001 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. They were later divorced. George was employed by KYSM Radio, Country 103.5 as a traffic manager and DJ. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, fantasy football, playing cards with friends and making people laugh.
George is survived by his daughter, Olivia Abdo of Mankato; mother, Salwa Stolt and her husband, Jason of Puyallup, WA; two sisters, Lisa Abdo and her fiancé Matt Cisewski of Lino Lakes, Nina Abdo of Mankato; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family in Lebanon, Minnesota, and Phoenix.

Private graveside services are Thursday, May 4, at St. Paul’s Lutheran died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at his home in Otisco Township. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, with burial in Calvary died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church of Christ in Le Sueur. Burial with military honors is in Mound died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday May 11 at First Baptist Church in Lake Crystal. Burial with military honors is in Lake Crystal died Friday, April 28, 2006, at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Monday May 8 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca, with burial in Woodville died Monday, May 8, 2006, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 13 at First Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with burial in New Ulm City died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at his home. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday May 6 at Peace United Church of Christ in Minnesota Lake. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home in Minnesota Lake and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
