Richard Reid
Richard Lloyd Reid born on April 25, 1947, to Lloyd and Margie (Dickie) Reid in Mankato, MN. He attended Roosevelt School in Mankato in 1957 and was later placed at Faribault State School & Hospital in 1959.
In 1968 Richard transferred to St. Peter State Hospital’s Developmental Disabilities Program. It was during this time that Richard began attending the Mankato Rehabilitation Center and continued to do so until his Cemetery in rural Cleveland, MN.
Survivors included his Step-Mother Kathi Reid, Brothers Ronald, Robert (Julie) Brandon, SD, Randy (Michelle) Minneapolis, MN and Robin (Kim) Mankato, MN along with seven nieces and nephews, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins. Richard was preceded in died Saturday, September 23, 2006, at Good Counsel Convent, Mankato, Minnesota.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 26, at 10:30 a.m. in Good Counsel Chapel, with Fr. Peter Nosbush as celebrant. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. today at Good Counsel, with Vespers in the chapel at 7:00 p.m. Visitation is also one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Sister Mary Ruth (Lucille Sattler) was death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
Kyle L. Nelson
Kyle L. Nelson, 18, of Trimont Cemetery in rural Trimont. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Karmer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and one hour prior to services at the church.
Bruce A. Nelson
Bruce A. Nelson, 56 born July 8, 1951 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Donald G. and Beverley (Goers) Nelson. Bruce grew up in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1969, where he was a member of the golf team. Bruce spent his adult life working in the automotive industry, starting as a technician for Nelson Motors of Mankato, and later selling cars for Brakke - Snell. In 1979 Bruce moved to sunny Orange County California where he worked as a sales manager and a finance manager. The majority of his time was at South Bay Lexus in Torrance Ca. He spent his last seven years wholesaling cars in Orange County Ca. Bruce death by his mother, Beverley in 1991 and his father, Donald in 2003.
James A. Zimmer
Mankato - James A. Zimmer, age 74, of Mankato, died on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at her home.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Landkamer-Johnson-Boman Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at the funeral home.
Teresa was death by her mother in 2007.
Olga Regine Resset Kjell
Olga Regine Resset Kjell, 97, formerly of Fergus Falls, Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 3, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, with Reverend Paul Hadland officiating. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Garden. Visitation is two hours before the service at the church. Olson Funeral Home of Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.
Olga was married Elmer Kjell. They farmed near Fergus Falls until they moved to town in 1985. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran. She moved to Mankato in 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Roger) Normandin and grandchildren, Ruth and Joseph Normandin all of Mankato.
She was preceded in died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca.
married Allan death in 1975, Ivadell Born of Waseca, JoAnn (Bob) Olson of Minneapolis, Arlin (Carol) Born of Owatonna; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn Peterson of New Richland and Vera (Dick) Randall of Springville, NY; one brother, Donald (Beth) Lewer of Washington, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in Cemetery in Waseca.
