Harry H. Iverson
Harry H. Iverson, 79, Born in Waseca, he attended Mankato State College and San Diego State University earning degrees in English, math and history. He taught high school for 35 years at Fontana, Walnut, and Los Altos high schools. He lived in Fontana, Mira Loma and Highland, CA, for 53 years.
He is survived by his former wife, Audrey (Berry) Iverson of Highland; 3 sons, James of Fontana, Jon of San Jose, Robert of Temecula; 3 sisters, Lois Mjulhus of Minneapolis, MN, Ruth Kozan of Waseca, MN, June Anderson of Owatonna, MN; 7 grandchildren.
Memorial services 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Faith United Methodist Church, 801 4th Ave NE, Waseca. Inurnment at Woodville died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Schmucker Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Madeline Mary (Carey) Grothe
Madeline Mary (Carey) Grothe of Downey California Born in Beauford Township, Mapleton MN to Benjamin and Hattie Carey on May 22, 1917. death by husband Arnold and son Jake.
She is survived by her 6 remaining children, 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and brother Ben “Jerry” Carey of Mankato MN The family relocated to Downey California in 1998, from Minnesota.A celebration of life will be held on December 8, 2007 at a daughter’s home in Cypress CA.

Gilbert Arthur Black
Gilbert Arthur Black, 77, of Gibbon, cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Monday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon and one hour before the funeral in the church.
Maxine Knewtson
Maxine Knewtson, age 91, of Mapleton, Interment will be in Beauford Oak Hill Cemetery. Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Maxine was married Russell Knewtson at the Beauford United Methodist Church Parsonage. Maxine and Russell farmed 41 years together retiring in 1978. After retirement she enjoyed 20 years of traveling and looking for John Deere Tractors with Russell. They spent many winters in Phoenix, Arizona. She took up golfing in her retirement and one of her greatest joys was a hole in one, in February 1986 at the Camelot Golf Course in Phoenix. Maxine enjoyed family gatherings at Breezy Point; she also enjoyed time spent with her friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening especially flower gardening. Maxine was a lifelong member of the Beauford United Methodist Church, active in the Heather Curling Club.
The most important thing in Maxine’s life was her family, by whom she will be missed. She is survived by her 3 sons, Dale and his wife, Patricia of Fairmont, Gene of Mapleton, Gary and his wife, Mary of Brooklyn Park; 6 grandchildren, Tari (John) Colby, Heidi (Jay) Rohe, Troy (Kelly) Knewtson, Kelly Knewtson, Katie (Brook) Deibele, Emily Knewtson; 8 great grandchildren, Alexis, Abbi, John Dale, Hannah, Sarah, Grace, Ella, and Cole; 2 sisters, Carol Roberts of Austin, and Marilyn Howell of Garner, IA; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral in the church. Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington is handling arrangements.
Joseph E. Kachelmeier
Joseph E. Kachelmeier, 68 years old of Wilmington, Ohio, born Tuesday, August 22, 1939 in St. Peter, MN, Son of the late Joseph A. and Alice (Seig) Kachelmeier. He death by his brother: Jim Kachelmeier.
Friends will be received 8:30-8:45 AM, Friday, November 23 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, Ohio.Prayers will be said at 8:45 AM at the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 North Mulberry Street, Friday, November 23, 2007 at 9:00 AM with Fr. Allan R. Knight
Allan R. Knight, age 95, of St. Peter, funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. (visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.) Monday at Union Presbyterian Church in St. Peter. cemetery in Cambridge, WI. St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Union Presbyterian Church, the American Baptist Churches USA, or Habitat for Humanity.
Allan was married Pearl Prescott, of Cambridge, WI, on September 18, 1937. They had four children: Phyllis (1939), Douglas (1943), Rolf (1946), and Karl (1951). In 1935 Allan received the Th.M. degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY. In 1938 he was ordained as an American Baptist minister. He earned the Th.D. degree in 1946 from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, PA. Rev. Knight served churches in Port Murray, NJ (1937-1941), Cortland and Summer Hill, NY (1941-1948), Newburgh, NY (1948-1953), and Council Bluffs, IA (1953-1965). From 1965 until retirement in 1977 he was Executive Minister of the Nebraska Baptist State Convention. Rev. Dr. Knight was the co-author of “The New Life, ” published by Judson Press, with nearly a million copies in print and translations into some eight languages.
Allan is survived by sisters Jeanette Dube and Edith Sampson of Tinton Falls, NJ; sons Douglas A. Knight and wife Catherine Snow of Nashville, TN, Rolf T. Knight and wife Susan Cullen of Wareham, MA, and Karl W. Knight and wife Barbara Kaiser of St. Peter, MN; grandchildren Margaret Klapperich and husband John Mark Klapperich of Milwaukee, WI, Lisa Knight and husband Edward Yazijian of Greenville, SC, Jonathan Rinehart of Brooklyn, NY, Jonathan Snow of Jamaica Plain, MA, and Erick Knight of St. Peter; and great-grandson Stefan Knight Yazijian of Greenville, SC.
He was preceded in died Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2007 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Mapleton with Rev. Brian Sutton officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church with a 3:30 p.m. prayer service. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Darlynne was death by her parents; and a son-in-law, Alan Schlicht.
