Allen J. Diedrichsen
Allen J. Diedrichsen, 88, Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Landkamer-Johnson-Boman Funeral Home with a 4 p.m. prayer service and will continue one hour before service at church on Monday. Memorials may be given to the Disabled American Veterans, the Boy Scouts of America or the School Sisters of Notre Dame retirement fund.
Allen was married Eleanor Ulmen in Mankato, MN. As well as being a carpenter, he was a scoutmaster for 26 years, a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, a life member of the VFW Post 950 and the Chapter 10 DAV, a volunteer for the VA hospital with 1, 000 plus hours of service, and was in the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945, including 42 months in the South Pacific. Allen enjoyed visiting with home bound veterans, spending time with his family, listening to the ball games, walking, and putting together puzzles.
Allen is survived by his wife, Eleanor of Mankato, MN; 2 sons: Robert Diedrichsen of Mankato, MN and Richard (Cathrine) Diedrichsen of St. Cloud, MN; 3 grandchildren: Bobbie Jean, Douglas Craig, and Stacie Jean Diedrichsen of St. Cloud, MN; 4 great grandchildren: Calista Jade Barrett, Christopher William Barrett, Isaiah Allen Diedrichsen, Bryce Michael Larson; 1 brother, Lloyd Diedrichsen of Sparks, NV.
Allen is preceded in died, Sunday, November 25, 2007, at the Mankato House Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Woodland Hills Chapel. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and continues one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Gail was death by her parents and 2 grandsons.
Colette M. Bajula
Colette M. Bajula, age 47, of Mankato, born on March 26, 1960 in Mankato to Ray and Marcy (Krenik) Donelan. She graduated from Loyola High School. On April 28, 1984 Colette was united in marriage to Mike Bajula at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. She worked for Cosco, a division of Taylor Corporation. Colette was a member of Jesus Assembly of God, card club, a summer volunteer for Royal Family Kids Camp, and was a Creative Memories consultant. She enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Colette is survived by her husband Mike of Mankato; children: Tiffany Cole, Meghan Bajula and Shawn Bajula all of Mankato; grandchildren, Ashton and Jordan Cole of Mankato; parents, Ray and Marcy Donelan of St. Peter; sister, Kitty (Mike) Holmes of Minnetonka; brothers-in-law, Chuck (Sue) Knutson and Kenny Knutson all of Albert Lea; sisters-in-law, Beth (Brian) Rix and Janette Knutson all of Sioux Rapids, IA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in died Thursday, October 18, 2007 in the Bigfork Valley Communities, Bigfork, MN.
married Kermit Linder and they moved to Effie, MN in 1995 to retire.
Her parents, Niilo and Ester Pipping, her step-mother, Ann, and her first husband, Stan Finkelson, preceded her in died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Village Nursing Home in Mountain Lake.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hosanna Free Lutheran Church in St. James with burial in Mt. Hope died on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at his home after having fought a losing bout with cancer.
born on August 11, 1942, to Harold and Lillian (Flitter) Ahl. In his baptism into Christ's death can overcome. He grew up in the Mankato area and graduated from Mankato High School in 1960. After high school, he attended St. John's College, Winfield, Kansas, Concordia Senior College, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, graduating from there in 1968. After a year of graduate study at Concordia Seminary, he supply taught for one year at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana. He was then called to a dual parish northwest of Alexandria, which he served from 1970 to 1978, after which he accepted a call from Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, serving that parish from 1979 to 2003, when he retired to establish what he had hoped would be a flower garden open to the public on his ten acre plot of land.
He is survived by his mother, Lillian E. Ahl-Timm; two brothers, Douglas (Edie) Ahl and David Ahl; two sisters, Sharon Ahl and Dawn (Gary) Deinert; a nephew, Joseph, five nieces, Kari, Kathy, Tracy, Kristin, and Nicole. Dennis was preceded in died Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Schmucker born November 3, 1921 in New Ulm. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Grade School and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1939. After attending Iowa State University for a year, Dottie graduated from the Minnesota School of Business. After returning to New Ulm, she worked at the Somsen and Dempsey Law Firm. She was united in marriage to Ronald Spelbrink July 30, 1942 at Camp Chapel of Fort Francis E. Warren in Cheyenne, WY. They were sent to Camp Gordon in Augusta, GA where she was secretary to the General at the camp hospital. When her husband was sent overseas during World War II for 31⁄2 years, Dottie returned to New Ulm where she worked as a secretary at the Eagle Roller Mill. Later in life when her children were grown, she assisted Ron at Spelbrink’s Mens and Boys Clothing Store in downtown New Ulm. After her husband’s death by an infant son Thomas, infant daughter Linda, and brother Robert Buenger of Sacramento, CA in 2000.
Memorials are preferred to the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
