Willard A. Davis
Willard A. Davis, age 86 of Mankato Cemetery following the funeral. Memorials may be given to St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society, or to an organization of the donor's choice.
Willard was married Gladys Heiser on November 29, 1939. Willard and Gladys farmed near Lake Crystal until 1954. They purchased a farm west of North Mankato and operated it until Willard began working as a tire mechanic and later a truck driver. After he retired from Mankato Corporation, they lived in Nicollet, then near Eagle Lake and finally in Mankato. He loved his family, dancing, German old-time polka, waltz, classic country music and Bandwagon. He enjoyed livestock auctions, raising horses and gardening.
Willard is survived by his wife, Gladys; one son, Dennis and his wife, Pamela of Mankato; grandson, Brent and his wife, Crystal of Rochester; a nephew, William Ulrich and his wife, Doreen of Iowa; and a cousin, Ruby Buck of Ames, Iowa. Willard was preceded in died September 20, 2004 at his rural Kasota home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Robert was married Susan Marie Hartle at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Robert owned and operated his own truck, worked for Lakeville Motor Express and Manske Bus Service.
Robert was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 518 of North Mankato. He was past adjutant for Post 518, was active with the State and District American Legion offices, and served as Chairman for the 2003 Third District National Security and Foreign Relations Committee. He enjoyed fishing, card playing, cooking, volunteering, and giving everyone a hand during their time of need.
Survivors include his wife, Susan of rural Kasota; four children, Jason (Taryn) Newville of Madison, WI, Jenna (Stacey) Cueto of St. Paul, Dawn Haubrich of Valentine, NE, Missy Haubrich of Mankato; four granddaughters; four brothers, Bill of Spicer, Mike and Tom of Fairmont, Jack of Welcome; two sisters, Mary Behr of Conger, Virginia Sukalski of East Chain; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mankato.
Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Crystal, with Rev. Randal Lubbers officiating. Burial in Lake Crystal born in Slayton, MN on July 31, 1926 to August and Annie (Hill) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Merlyn Williams on August 8, 1953 in Slayton, MN.

Norma S. Yushta
Norma S. Yushta, age 79, of St. Peter, born December 22, 1924 in Dupo, St. Clair County, IL to Jacob D. and Emma Marie (Loewe) Schellhardt. After 11 years of education in Dupo, she attended Southern Illinois University for a year, before entering St. Luke’s School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO. She was a R.N. doing work in Missouri, Alabama, Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota and retired in 1977, after serving 4 years as a nursing home administrator.
She was united in marriage to John H. Yushta on July 5, 1956 in Breese, IL. She enjoyed needle point, quilt making, and especially reading.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Yushta of St. Peter; five sons, James K. Crake of Dupo, IL, Jeffrey H. Yushta and wife, Sharon, of La Crosse, WI, Jerold W. Yushta of St. Peter, John G. Yushta and wife, Lisa of Lemmon, SD, and Joel D. Yushta of FL; 10 grandchildren, Stacy Bendal and Andy Yushta of La Crosse, WI, Kelly Maguigad of Madison, WI, Jean Attenberger, Jacob Yushta and Danielle Wilking of St. Peter, Chris, Daniel, Michael, and Brianna Yushta of Lemmon, SD; six great-grandchildren, Trisha Bennet, Patrick Yushta, Nathan Attenberger of St. Peter, Adam and Samuel Bendal of La Crosse, WI, Caleb Maguigad of Madison, WI; a sister, June Fluchel and husband, Richard of Dupo, IL; four nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Spring Valley, MN, with Father Steven Peterson officiating. Cemetery, Grand Meadow, MN. Visitation one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Beulah was died in 1978. She lived in Hampton, IA from 1938 until moving to North Mankato in 1980. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato and a former member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Hampton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading.
Beulah is survived by two sons and their spouses, Jack (Rosemarie) Brown of Santa Ana, CA, Robert “Bob” (Susan) Brown of Mankato; four grandchildren and their spouses, Patrick (Marcia) Brown of Mission Viejo, CA, James (Sara) Brown of Woodbury, Michael Brown and Tammy Springsteen of Berkeley, CA, Sally (Michael) Olander of Burnsville; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille (Ross) Rathbun of Spring Valley, Marilynn Podruch of Minnetonka, Patricia Goeman of Hopkins; nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in died Thursday, July 29, 2004 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. born March 4, 1929 in Springfield, MN, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Frank) Teicher. She grew up and attended school in Springfield. On August 27, 1947 she died in 1971. On March 1, 1975 she death by son, Steve Ristau; daughter, Debbie Simonson, her parents; 1 brother; 3 sisters; 1 grandson.
