Brian Bruce Wichmann, the son of Glenn and Myra (Bauermeister) Wichmann, was death by his stepfather Elmer “Sam” Meyer; grandparents Emil and Lillian Wichmann and Ben and Molly Bauermeister.
Marjorie May Longstreth Oelerich
Marjorie May Longstreth Oelerich, age 83 years, passed into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on July 5, 2011, at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato, Minnesota, as a result of Alzheimer's disease and leukemia.
A service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Crossview Covenant Church, 2000 Howard Drive, North Mankato, Minnesota. Pastor Kevin Melin will officiate. Visitation and luncheon will follow the service. Arrangements are by Mankato Mortuary. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Klein born on December 10, 1927, to Frank. K. and Louvina Eliza (Law) Longstreth at their rural home in Muscatine County, Iowa. She graduated from a one-room schoolhouse and then from Muscatine High School in 1944. She received a bachelor's of science degree from William Penn College, Oskaloosa, Iowa in 1948. From the University of Iowa, Iowa City, she received a master's of arts degree (1964) and a doctor of philosophy degree (1969).
She born-again believer on June 16, 1991, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in North Mankato, Minnesota. At the Church, she served as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent, Christian Education Committee member, Covenant Women president, participant in many Bible Study groups, and a member of various committees, including Missions Harvest Festival. She was co-founder of the Covenant Christian Child Care Center (5Cs). She helped found PACT Ministries (People and Christ Together) and the Neighborhood Thrift Store.
In retirement, she was active in the Mankato Area Retired Educators Association, Retired Educators Association of Minnesota, and Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS). She enjoyed traveling, family genealogy, and Bible Study.
She is survived by two children: Elizabeth Jill Oelerich Sandell (Dennis) of Mankato and Randall Wayne Oelerich of Duluth, many nieces and nephews, and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Faribault Care Center following an extended illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Faribault Area Hospice.
Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
Bessie Mary Kopet, the daughter of Frank Sr. and Frances (Filipek) Kopet, was death on August 11, 1976. After their marriage they lived in St. Paul, MN and Bessie worked as a clerk at Kinds Bakery for 8 years and then stayed at home to raise their family. Family was very important to Bessie and she especially enjoyed any time that she could spend with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was a member of the Divine Mercy Catholic Church CCW.
She is survived by two daughters, Carole (Jerry) Schweisthal of Faribault, MN and Shirley McCoy of Hastings, MN; by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren; by two sisters in law, Ruth Kopet of St. Paul, MN and Daisy Donkers of Faribault, MN and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in died on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Janesville Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 15th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville, with Fr. Peter Klein Celebrant. Cemetery, Janesville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville, and will continue on Friday morning for one hour prior to services at church. There will be a 7:30 p.m. Catholic Daughter Rosary Thursday evening, at the funeral home.
Evelyn Augusta was death by her parents; by her husband William in 2002; by her grandson, Mark McDonnell in 2010; by her brothers, Gregory, Sylvester, Joseph and Baylon; by her sisters, Lorraine Zimmerman, Delores Fitzpatrick, Madelyn Veroeven and Mary LaVonne Schroeder.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Janesville Nursing Home for their care of Evelyn.
Scott D. Frey
Scott Donald Frey, age 54 of North Mankato, Cemetery.
Scott was married to Kris Myhra and they had a daughter, Cassie. He later bartended over 30 years at the Embassy Bar in St. Peter and at Bobby Joe's Pub in North Mankato. Scott was a bright man with an artistic side and enjoyed painting and the music of the Beatles and Janet Jackson. He loved the Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves and to be on the lake fishing. He was especially fond of the Wizard of Oz, but his life was his grandchildren.
Scott will be missed by his daughter: Cassie (longtime friend Robert Berlanga) of St. Peter: grandchildren: Robbie and Jacob Scott Berlanga; siblings: Randy (JoAnn) Frey –Hawkins, Teri (Craig) Campbell, Gayle (Ed) Derner, Kelly (Terry) Jaeger all of St. Peter and Kevin (Shauna) Frey of Arden Hills/St. Paul; his ex-wife and continued friend Kris Myhra and her daughter Toni Dummer; and many nieces and nephews.

married to Neil Mosher in Minneapolis. Loretta worked as a housekeeper for various families in the area for many years, and later worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.
Loretta is survived by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in Interment will follow at St. John’s Trinity Lutheran died Friday, June 26, 2009 at Oaklawn Health Care Center, Mankato.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2009 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Vernon Center with Rev. Brian Sutton officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Catholic born August 6, 1918 to Alois and Matilda (Kateman) Noy in rural Garden City, MN. She attended Garden City Public School. She was united in marriage to Gordon Floyd Mendenhall on November 28, 1939, in St. Mathew's Catholic Church in Vernon Center. She was active with the ladies circle at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. She enjoyed visiting family and friends on her many trips which included Canada, Australia, Germany, and Holland where she visited her former exchange student, Loes. Ann enjoyed sewing and was a creative seamstress.
Ann is survived by her son, Alan (Donna) Mendenhall of Freeborn and their children, Michael Mendenhall (special friend, Stacey), David Mendenhall (special friend, Corrie), Daniel (Brooke) Mendenhall; son, Lee (Gerri) Mendenhall of New Richland and their children, Becky (Dennis) Hendrickson, Brenda (Leon) Larock, and Brian Mendenhall; son, Tom (Sharon) Mendenhall of Ramsey; daughter, Jean Teaser of Apple Valley and her children, Scott (Jennifer) Teaser, Rob (Angie) Teaser, and Stephanie Teaser; daughter, Joan (Tom) Tallman of Amboy and their children, Lori (Jeremy) Caye, Abigail Tallman, Stacy (fiancé, Collin Strobush) Tallman, Bethany Tallman; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Shirley) Noy of Vernon Center; sister, Mary Ann (Harold) Tonn of Winnebago; brother-in-law, Maurice Crowley of Madelia; numerous nieces and nephews.
