Tom Willaert
Thomas “Tom” Willaert, age 76 of Mankato, Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Nosbush officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary born May 11, 1935 to Allie and Lydia (Braam) Willaert in Belgrade Township, Nicollet County. He served for the United States Army from 1954 until honorably discharged in 1957. On August 10, 1962, Tom was united in marriage to Roxie Dyane Mason. They were blessed with five children. For 14 years, Tom was a truck driver for Lundin Construction before starting his own business. He owned and operated Willaert Tree Service and Stump Removal for over 30 years, before retiring just four years ago. Tom loved hunting, fishing, gambling, and traveling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tom's fun loving nature will be missed by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his wife, Roxie; children: Richard “Butch” (special friend, Tami Styndl) Willaert of Lake Washington, Shelly (Phil) Adams of Madelia, Patsy (Chris Cyphers) Wreath of Winnebago, and Dawn (Paul) Peterson of North Mankato; 11 grandchildren: Ryan, Michelle, Chad, Kevin, Kelsey, Heather, Chelsey, Brandon, Brooke, Seth, and Dylan; five great-grandchildren: Morgan, Dustin, Gavin, Autumn, and Callen; four siblings: Donald Willaert of St. Peter, Frances “Huntz” Willaert of St. Peter, Helen Schons of Gaylord and Patricia Northamer of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in died suddenly on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the District Hospital One in Faribault.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Dr., Faribault. Cemetery in Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Priscilla Margaret Condon, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Gangloff) Condon, was married to Engelbert Kern on November 28, 1939 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. They moved to the West Coast and later returned to a farm in Northfield where they raised their four sons. Engelbert preceded her in death by her parents; husband, Engelbert; son, Charles and brother, Calvin Condon.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
Jeanne Leiding
Wilma Jeanne Moxley-Leiding, age 91, of rural Mankato, funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at Pilgrim's Rest born on October 5, 1920 in Miami, Oklahoma to Francella Lee-Moxley and James Melvin Moxley. Most of her childhood was spent growing up in Wichita, KS. She later re-located to Southeran California and was united in marriage to Vincent Robert Isaacson. She enjoyed her role as wife, homemaker, and as mother to Sharon Lee and Scott James.
On February 15, 2001, Jeanne was united in marriage to Marvin H. Leiding. Jeanne and Marvin enjoyed splitting their time between their residences in Mankato and Lake Havasu City, AZ. She loved life and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Marvin of Mankato; daughter, Sharon Lee (Randy) Laswell of Cherry Valley, CA; son, Scott James Isaacson of Jean, NV; step-children: Sandy (Terry) Kranz of Cleveland, Brad (Linda) Leiding of Lake Crystal, Mike (Jan) Leiding of Mankato, and Randy Leiding of Litchfield, CA; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in died suddenly on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 as she was receiving emergency medical care near Eagle Lake, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25th at 10:00 a.m. at the Janesville United Methodist Church in Janesville with the Reverend Bescye P. Burnett, officiating. Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville, and will continue on Saturday morning for one hour prior to services, at church.
Thelma Lucille was death by her parents; by her husband Vernon on October 20, 2005; by her brother and two sisters, and her son-in-law, Richard Erdman.
Ann Marie Kremer
Ann Marie Kremer of Edina and formerly of Mankato, interment will be in Calvary born July 26, 1943, and spent most of her growing-up years living in the big white house at the corner of Fifth street and Mulberry, kitty-corner from the church. Her entire adult working life was spent in the employment of St. Josephs Hospital where she worked for 38 years as a dietary aid. This job took her to all corners of the hospital as she delivered meal carts to patients. Co-workers throughout the hospital became, and continue to be, her best friends sharing laughs, good times, and Anns interests in country music, local sports teams, and of course professional wrestling.
After her retirement in 2006 Ann re-located to an independent living facility in Edina where, as expected, she was a sought-after resident for committee positions and an active participant in all social activities.
Ann is preceded in died in 1990. She is survived by brothers George (Pat) and Joseph (Carol), and several nieces and nephews.
Anns favorite part of attending Sunday Mass was sharing the opportunity for coffee, donuts and conversation in the social hall afterwards.
Eva June Pestka
Eva June Pestka, age 92 of Mankato, Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Eva was married Robert Pestka on June 13, 1949 in Mankato. She also was proud of her life on the farm and continuing farming after her husband's death by her parents; husband, Robert; three brothers, Stanley, Glen, Wayne; two sisters, Ethel O'Connor, Vera Phillips.
