Belva (Stelten) Arnold
Belva C. Arnold, age 92 of Elysian, Interment will be in the St. Anne’s Church Cemetery in Kimball.
Belva Christine was married Cyril J. Arnold of Clear Lake, Minnesota. They lived in Kimball until Cyril was called to military service. Belva was fortunate to be with her husband while in various places he was assigned. She worked various jobs at Medford, Oregon Bank, also for Western Union, U.S. National Bank in Corvallis, Oregon and at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, Maryland in the finance department. After the war they returned to Kimball and lived there until 1954. That same year they moved to Janesville, Minnesota and lived there until 1991 when they moved to Elysian, Minnesota to live on Lake Francis.
Belva was a member and officer of Kimball American Legion Auxiliary, PTA, St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball, and St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville, and the Winona Council of Catholic Women.
She enjoyed collecting and refinishing antiques, doing needlepoint, playing cards, and all kinds of music and dancing. She, with her husband, enjoyed 25 years wintering in Texas where they made many dear friends. Recent winters were spent in California with daughter Barbara and her family. Family and friends knew Belva for her excellent baking, especially chocolate chip cookies and lemon pie. She had a delightful sense of humor and ready smile.
She is survived by her three sons, Gary and Charleen Arnold and Dick and Carol Arnold all of Waseca, and David and Mary Beth Arnold of North Mankato, and by her daughter Barbara and Bill Palmer of Granite Bay, California. Belva has eleven grandchildren, Nathan (Amber) Arnold, Nicholas (Shannon) Arnold, Molly Arnold, Megan (Kevin) Wright, Betsy (Kevin) Bahn, John Arnold and fiancée Sarah Motl, Jacob Arnold, Joshua Arnold, Matthew Arnold, Jennifer Palmer and Mark (Meaghan) Palmer. Belva has eight great grandchildren, Alexis, Brody, Lauren, Mackenzie, Carson, Spencer, Mason and Molly.
Belva was preceded in death are many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Lawrence B. St. Martin Sr.
Lawrence B. St. Martin Sr., age 70, of Faribault, born on March 20, 1941 in Faribault. He was raised in Faribault and attended Faribault High School. Lawrence was united in marriage to Pamela Hanegraaf on June 6, 1971 in Morristown. He worked for many years as the manager of the FasGas station in Faribault. Later he worked at the Treasure Cheese Cave in Faribault. Most recently, Larry worked for group homes in Faribault, including ESI and Lutheran Social Services. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family. Larry also loved to play cards, especially poker and blackjack.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pamela of Faribault; four children, Jennifer (Dave) Schultz and Andrew (Llyssa) St. Martin, both of Faribault, and Lawrence B. St. Martin Jr. and Ronald St. Martin, both of Albert Lea, MN; five grandchildren, Austin and Alex Schultz, Ryker St. Martin, and Dustin, Brooke, and A.J. St. Martin; his mother, Doris St. Martin of Faribault; three brothers, Steve St. Martin of Deer Park, TX, and Brad (Debbie) St. Martin and Jeff St. Martin (Patti Brody), both of Faribault; four sisters, Roxanne Kolterman, Claudie Skogen, Rebecca St. Martin, and Lisa (Dan) Swanson, all of Faribault; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in born August 6, 2011 to Chad and Brooke Riley of Lake Crystal.
A private family service will be held at Minneopa death by her grandma, Phyllis Riley and three siblings from miscarriage.
Pearl J. Ebel
Pearl J. Ebel, age 83, of North Mankato, Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with North Mankato Mortuary – Northview. Memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato Hospice.
Pearl was death by her parents and husband, Mel.
Corinne D. Davey
Corinne Davey, age 82 of Mankato, Interment will be in Mt. Olivet born May 10, 1929 in Mankato to Jonas and Dorothy (Davidson) Johnson. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1947 and completed one year of business college. Corinne death by her husband, Ralph; her parents; brother, Welford “JJ” Johnson; sister, LaVonne Murray.
Frieda E. Ellingson
Frieda Ellingson, age 105, of Faribault and formerly of South Minneapolis, Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2011 surrounded by his family & friends following an ATV accident.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at North Mankato Mortuary ~ NORTHVIEW in North Mankato. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at North Mankato Mortuary ~ NORTHVIEW. Burial will follow at Glenwood born April 29, 1969 in Mankato, MN to John R. Habinger and Diane (Comstock) Mell. He graduated from Mankato East High School in 1987. He worked at various jobs, including a car salesman in the St. Peter area. In 1990 his son Dameon Habinger was death by his grandparents, John P. & Evadine L. Habinger & Allen M. & Maxine M. Comstock, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his very special dog Thunder.
