Helen V. Lepel
Helen Valeria Lepel, age 86, of Hutchinson, Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, with Rev. Gerhard Bode officiating. Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Peace Lutheran Church. Arrangements were handled by Helen's grandson, John with Mankato Mortuary.
Helen was passed away on May 13, 2003.
Helen is survived by her two daughters, Sharon (Jule) Schroeder and Karen (Gene) Gruett, all of Hutchinson; four grandchildren, Chris (Lisa) Schroeder of Alexandria, Debra (Gary) Carlson of Hutchinson, John (Cindy) Schroeder of Mankato, and Julie (Todd) Hovendick of St. Cloud; five great-grandchildren, Megan and Miranda Carlson, Juelle and Analise Schroeder, and Claudia Hovendick; one great-great-grandson, Mason Carlson; one sister, Lorraine Maschke of Brooklyn Park; two sisters-in-law, Elsa Dietel of Maple Grove and Mary (Roland) Ebent of Hutchinson; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in died on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Colony Court of Waseca.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 5th at 2:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Martin Schaefer, Celebrant. Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday afternoon from 12:30 until 2:30 at Sacred Heart Church. Memorials in Dan’s memory are preferred to the Sacred Heart Educational Endowment Fund. McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca is handling arrangements.
Daniel Joseph was death by his parents; by his sisters, Helen (Edward) Jacobson and Josephine (Ray) Blouin; by his nephew Daniel Jacobson.
Casketbearers are: Members of the Leo Welsh Assembly-4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
Honorary Casketbearers are: Dan’s caregivers at Colony Court.
Raymond D. Furey
Raymond D. Furey, age 78, of Faribault, Interment will be held at St. Lawrence born on October 21, 1933 in Mendota, MN. He attended Willow River High School and graduated with the class of 1952. After high school Ray began a 43 career working at the Chandler-Wilbert Vault Company. He started at the plant in St. Paul and worked there until 1959. During this time, on June 16, 1956, Ray was united in marriage to JoAnn Bernier at St. Genevieve’s Catholic Church in Centerville, MN. In 1959 Ray was promoted to be the manager of the Faribault plant and held that position until his retirement in 1995. In retirement they spent four years wintering in Pharr, TX. Ray and JoAnn enjoyed traveling and their travels took them to all 50 states. Ray was known for starting the Church Softball League in Faribault and helped in keeping the Horse Shoe League in Faribault going. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and was a member of a dart league.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, JoAnn Furey of Faribault; by six children, Kim (Keith) Keller of Nerstrand, John (Karla) Furey of Faribault, Carolyn Furey of Pewaukee, WI, Ken Furey of Faribault, Robert “Buck” (Sara) Furey of Faribault and Patricia (Brad) Malecha of Lonsdale, MN; by nine grandchildren and one great grandson; by his brother, Bernard (Kay) Furey of Frazee, MN; by two sisters, Irene Thill of White Bear Lake, MN and Angeline Spindle of Sun City, AZ; by two sister-in-laws, Marion Furey of Willow River, MN and Clare Furey of Menomonie, WI and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Medford. Cemetery, Medford.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to services.
The family prefers that memorials be directed to Christ the King Catholic Church in Medford or to the donor’s choice.
John Michael, the son of Sebastian and Cecelia (Wagner) Gillen, was death on May 22, 1994 and at that time John moved back to Faribault and has been a resident at Realife Cooperative ever since. John was known for driving school bus for 15 years and serving on the Medford School Board for 20 years. John was a member of the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles, the St. Lawrence/Catholic Aid Association, and the Faribault Senior Center, where he loved to go and play cards with everyone.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet (Dick) McLeod of Rochester, MN and by his son, Michael Gillen of Atlanta, GA; by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; by his son in law, Jack Beabout of Rochester, MN; by two brothers, Adrian (Jeanne) Gillen of Faribault, MN and Joe (Lorraine) Gillen of New Richmond, WI; by three sisters, Rita Franke of Bloomington, MN, Luella Heim of Medford, MN and Joanne (Jim) Cortese of Ellensburg, WA and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Newport, WA.
Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary.
Larry was death by his parents; twin sister, Mary Boehmlehner; sister, Shirley Frounfelter, and half-brother, Clem Miller.
Richard F. "Dick" Feichtinger
Richard F. “Dick” Feichtinger, age 83, of Faribault, Interment will be at the Calvary born on September 21, 1928 in St. Cloud, MN. He graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud and attended St. Cloud St. Univ. Dick enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was later honorably discharged. He was death in 1965. On October 14, 1972, Dick was united in marriage to Sharron Breyen in New Brighton, Minnesota. Together, they had two children Lee and Richard Jr. Upon moving to Faribault in 1957, Dick owned and operated the Paradise, Village and Family Drive-In Theaters. Dick especially enjoyed hosting holiday events at the theaters for the children of the community. He was a very generous and caring man and Dick’s humor and wit will forever be remembered by friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Sharron Feichtinger of Faribault; three sons, Michael (Mary) Feichtinger of St. Cloud, Gary (Kris) Feichtinger of Owatonna, and Richard Feichtinger Jr. of Faribault; two daughters, Joan (Jeff) Anderson of Faribault and Lee (Jesse) Bull of Minneapolis; five grandsons and five granddaughters; brother, Roger (Edie) Feichtinger of Lakeville; sister, LaVonne Ostergaard of Hoyt Lakes, MN; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patricia; two grandsons, Tyson and Brandon; and nephew, Tom.
