CLARENCE A. SCHOEN
Clarence A. Schoen, 90, of Moose Lake, died Sunday April 16, 2006, at his home. he was born June 12, 1915, in Denham to Axel and Nellie (Anderson) Schoen. Clarence is a 1933 graduate of Willow River High School. He remained on the family farm until 1954 when he began a career in insurance and real estate. Clarence owned and operated Schoen Insurance Agency as well as Schoen Real Estate Agency until his retirement. Clarence was known for his special sense of humor and loved taking trips in his car to North Dakota to Ronald and Mildred (Enerson) Peterson. Kim moved with her family to Escondido, Oregon; Fianc': Richard Imholte of St. Cloud; three sisters: Tracey (Norman) Bordine of Vancouver, WA; Rhonda (Doug) Skelton of Moose Lake; and Lisa (Ben) Snodgrass of Woodland, WA; her nieces and nephews: Jason Bordine, Alicia Bordine, Ethan Bordine, Emma Skelton, and Laura Skelton.
Memorial Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 6 - 8 PM with a Service of Remembrance at 7:30 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1 until the 2 PM Memorial Service Thursday, April 20, 2006 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Inurnment will be at 4 PM Thursday in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements by Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
RECKO EDWARD AHONEN
Recko Edward Ahonen, 68, of Kettle River, MN died with his wife by his side on Wednesday, April 26 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth following a very courageous battle with cancer. He was born to John and Selma (Gustafson) Ahonen on June 8, 1937 at Autumba, MN. He grew up in Kettle River area and attended Kalevala Rural School and Barnum High School. He worked for awhile in Minneapolis repairing business equipment and on April 10, 1965, he was married to Elizabeth (Betty) Beck at St. Paul.
The couple had made their home in several areas including North Dakota, died April 20, 2006, in his home after a lengthy illness with cancer. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, at First Lutheran Church, Parshall. Interment was in the Parshall Cemetery.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ann Jacobson, Moose Lake, MN.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; two sons, Earl, Tea S.D., and Neil, Mott; two daughters, Cindy Holt, Parshall, and Doreen Nelson, Ludlow, Mass.; one brother, Gordon, Sturgeon Lake, Minn.; two sisters, Loretta Larson, Sturgeon Lake, and Carmen Jacobson, Duluth, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Dorothy Ann Rosenthal
Dorothy Ann Rosenthal, age 65 of Munger,
Dorothy Ann Rosenthal, formerly of Cloquet, passed away on July 1, 2007. She was born on August 8, 1941 to Henry and Dagmar (Johnson) Heino in Cloquet.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Zajac. Dorothy is survived by her children, Chris Kujawa, Anita Nistler, Elsa Stabs and Charles Rosenthal; 9 grandchildren; a niece and a nephew; and her beloved cat Tiger.
Private family graveside service will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet.

Margaret Cecelia DuFault

Margaret Cecelia DuFault, age 91 of Cloquet, passed away on July 19, 2007 at Inter-Faith Care Center, Carlton. She was born on November 24, 1915 in Superior, WI to James and Mary (DuFault) Pratt.
Margaret was very supportive of her husband Peter, who pioneered and was integral in developing the Fond du Lac Reservation. She retired from the Fond du Lac ENP kitchen, after several years of service and also as a cook for the Fond du Lac Ojibway School.
Margaret loved dancing with her husband, traveling and going to the Casino.
She was preceded in death by her husband Peter in 1978; grandsons, Greg DuFault and Mike Lund; daughter-in-law, Pricilla Defoe; brothers, George, William, Clarence, James and Walter; sisters, Anna Lemieux, Mary Pratt and Delia Pratt.
Margaret is survived by her children, Russ (June), Peggy (Bob) Lund, Shirley Defoe, Peter Defoe, Donald Defoe all of Cloquet, and Carol (Richard A.) Hayward of Mashantucket, Washington Ave, Cloquet, with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. The visitation will continue on Monday, July 23, 2007 from 9:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 102 4th Street, Cloquet.
Interment in New Holy Family Cemetery, Cloquet.

Michael Joseph Jarski

Michael Joseph Jarski, 59, of Cloquet formerly of New Town, ND, passed away on August 4, 2007 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born on June 24, 1948 in Cloquet, MN and spent his early childhood in Cloquet, and then moved with his family to New Town, ND where he graduated from high school in 1966. He enlisted and was a veteran of the US Marine Air Corps, serving during the Vietnam War. Michael worked for Texaco Oil Co. for 23 years in Wyoming before returning to Cloquet. He is a member of the Fond Du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, the Cloquet VFW, the New Town American Legion, the DAV and Holy Family Catholic Church. Mike was also on the committee to form the Fond Du Lac Honor Guard.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, children Justin of Houston, Washington Avenue, Cloquet, MN. The Visitation will continue on Wednesday August 8, 2007 from 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial in Queen of Peace Catholic Church 102 4th Street, Cloquet, MN. Interment will be in New Holy Family Cemetery with honors accorded with the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard.

Ardyce F. Haglin

Ardyce F. Haglin, age 89 of Superior, WI, formerly of Cloquet and Saginaw, passed away on August 5, 2007 with family by her side. She was born on May 23, 1918 in Eveleth, MN to Henry and Susan (Foley) Downey.
Ardyce spent many years farming with her family. She also lived in Alaska working in the fisheries. She returned to Cloquet where she retired as a cook at the Cloquet Hospital. Ardyce was active in her church, enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence W. and her son Clarence D. Ardyce is survived by 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Private family services will be held.
