Rauland Miller
Rauland S. Miller, age 91, a resident of rural Pierz, MN, died December 29, 1998, at State Highway 23, Milaca, MN.
Funeral services were January 2, 1999, at First Presbyterian Church in Foley, MN. The Rev. Allen Jergenson officiated. Burial was in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Morrill, MN.
Rauland Miller was born December 15, 1907, in Morrill Township of Morrison County, MN, to William and Maud (Scott) Miller. He married Minnie Presler June 19, 1930, in Little Falls and had lived north of Morrill where he farmed and built roads with horse and wagon. The couple divorced. He married Opal Dray May 3, 1943, in Red Wing, MN. The couple lived in Minneapolis, MNand he worked at Swift Meat Packing before moving to Morrill Township, rural Morrison County,where the couple lived until the present. During that time he hadworked as a farmer and as a trucker.
Survivors include his sons and daughters, June and Malcolm Cross, Foley, Bernice and George Bazey, Rogers, AR, Vernon, Greene, RI, William and Lottie, Pierz, Russell of Faribault, MN; stepdaughter, Beverly and Robert Voigt, Sauk Rapids, MN; brother, Raymond, Foley; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters,Carolyn Beck and Charlotte Winscher, two grandchildren and one great-grand-child.

Opal B. Miller, age 86, a resident of rural Pierz, MN, died December 29, 1998, at Hwy. 23, Milaca.
Funeral services were January 2, 1999, at First Presbyterian Church, Foley, with the Rev. Allen Jergenson officiating. Burial was in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Morrill, MN.
Opal Miller was born April 13, 1912, in California, and grandchildren, John, Tina, Sara and Jeffrey.
He was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence; daughter, Teresa; his parents, Peter and Mary; brothers, Albert and Herman and sisters, Sr. Mary Marina and Juliana.
Casketbearers were grandchildren and nephews.
