Vera Adamson was bon July 21, 1919 in Vega Township, Alvarado, Minnesota and received her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education at Bemidji State University, Bemidji, Minnesota on February 1, 1964. She taught 36 years in Iowa, Montana and Grand Forks, North Dakota, sister-in-law Minnie Haugen of Newfolden, North Dakota,. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers, Milton Smith, Edgar Smith, 2 sisters Anna Hedlund, and Donna Smith.
Services: 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 3, 2005 at the Stennes Funeral Home Chapel, East Grand Forks, North Dakota in the spring.
Arrangements by Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Angela Louise, was born on December 22, 1927 in Grand Forks, Minnesota area, and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High School. She attended the East Grand Forks Normal Teaching School, taught 2 years in Angus Minnesota. Angela enjoyed golfing, crocheting, and her yard with the flower gardens. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Family members include Angela’s husband Robert of 56 years, daughters: Sheryl (Ron) Kowalczyk, Charlotte, Minnesota; sons: Robert Jr. (Nancy) Useldinger and Michael (Hayley) Useldinger, both of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, 4 brothers: William Vonasek, Tabor, Minnesota, Vernon (Maxine) Vonasek, St. Cloud, Minnesota; 2 sisters; Frances (Marvin) Chandler of Euclid, North Dakota, one sister–in–law; Evelyn Vonasek of Grand Forks, Minnesota.

Oliver “Sonny” Sorenson 78, Fisher, Minnesota.
Oliver Irwin Sorenson was born on August 23, 1926 in Bygland, Minnesota, and attended the Agriculture Collage, in Crookston, Minnesota. He lived and farmed his entire life in the Bygland/Fisher area. Oliver will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Carl P. Lilke, 84, Grand Forks, North Dakota the son of John and Mae (Hall) Lilke. He grew up near Bathgate and married Faye Sampson in Grand Forks, Minnesota, Russell (Ann) of Savage, Minnesota, Paul of Wayzata, Minnesota, Doris Blaski of Denver, Colorado and a brother Vern (June) of Grand Forks, Minnesota.
Visitation: One hour before services on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
Burial: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2005, at the Valley Memorial Eldercare Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the son of Fred and JoAnna (Ebertowski) Czapiewski.
On November 7, 1932, he was united into marriage to Vernie Zolondek in Warsaw, North Dakota, where he worked for Olson’s Standard Service station. He worked as a custodian at the University of North Dakota, Jeanie (Wayne) Simoneau, Lewiston, ID, son; Donald Czapiewski of Grand Forks, North Dakota, sisters; Florence Rogalla, Grand Forks, North Dakota, Henrietta “Hetty” (Nick) Pappas, Fargo, North Dakota and a son-in-law, Richard Swatlowski of Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:30PM with a rosary at 7:00 pm and then a Prayer Service at 7:30pm. Friday ~ February 10, 2005 in Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, North Dakota in the spring.
Ruth A. Nyhus
Ruth A. Nyhus, 83, East Grand Forks, Minnesota the daughter of Clarence and Hertha (Kuball) Fick. She grew up in the Lancaster and then Strandquist, North Dakota in 1955. Ruth married Sheldon Nyhus on Novermber 6, 1976 in East Grand Forks, Minnesota and then 22 years for K-Mart of Grand Forks. She very much enjoyed her craft work,hand work and painting.
Ruth is survived by her husband Sheldon, six children; Bonnie (Gerald) Anderson of Grand Forks, Minnesota, Kay (Dennis) Viereck of Lancaster, Minnesota, Michael Hahn of Fargo, North Dakota.
Visitation: 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2005 with a prayer service at 4:00 PM in the Stennes Funeral Home Chapel in East Grand Forks, North Dakota.
