J. Toby Westrem, 95, formerly of East Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Toby was born on January 15, 1911 in Grand Forks, Minnesota, where he attended school. He married Bergit Uppstad on December 12, 1935 in Crookston, Minnesota. Toby and his father operated Andrew Westrem & Son Contracting for many years and built many homes, farm and commercial buildings in the area including the first Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Later he went to work for Tomlinson Lumber which is now the Lumber Mart and worked there until his retirement at age 85.
Toby is survived by a son; John (Dorothy) of East Grand Forks, Indiana, and Teresa (Jerome) Bakken of Grand Forks, Minnesota.
Robert J. Driscoll, 88, East Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Robert was born on August 4, 1917 near East Grand Forks, North Dakota on July 23, 1941. Bob worked at Olson Drug in East Grand Forks as a pharmacist. He later became the owner of Olson Drug retiring in 1984.
He is survived by many special friends including Beverly Thompson; Elizabeth (Chuck) Berger & family all of Worthington, Minnesota.
Engelbert Wolf
Engelbert Wolf, 71, of Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Engelbert Wolf was born on October 30, 1934 in Burgenland, Austria. He grew up in Austria and in the mid 1960’s he moved to Chicago, North Dakota where he worked for the University of North Dakota.
Engelbert is survived by family members in Austria and Chicago, Minnesota.
Visitation: 1 hour before services at the Chapel.
Burial: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
Visitation: 6 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM on Tuesday ~ April 25, 2006 at the Stennes Funeral Home in East Grand Forks and for an hour before services at the church on Wednesday.
Doris C. Eggen, 86, East Grand Forks, North Dakota. Doris was born on September 30, 1919, Oslo, North Dakota, Ruby Cherry of Greenville, Minnesota, Robert (Linda) Eggen of Oslo, 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Frieda Nordling, 3 brothers, Carl, Alec, Edward, 3 son-in-laws, John P. Duffy, Wilton Cherry, Robert Taylor.

Lila Berglund 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on the daughter of Ole and Lily (Holter) Davidson. Lila grew up in Grand Forks where she attended school. She married Hjelmer Vig, and worked at the Dacotah Hotel in Grand Forks. Lila was united in marriage to Eugene Berglund on December 31, 1969 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Richard (Mary) Davidson of Grand Forks, Minnesota, Danny Vig and Jeff (Susan) Vig both of Grand Forks, Minnesota, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brothers; Melvin (Jan) Davidson of Crary, North Dakota, Gilford Davidson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Lillian (LeRoy) DeGagne of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Rose Bouldoc of East Grand Forks, Arizona.
Lila is preceded in death by two sons; David and Michael, 2 sisters Marjorie Brage and Gloria in infancy and 1 infant grandson Gene.
Services: 2:00 PM ~ Friday ~ April 28, 2006 in United Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Visitation: 5 to 7 PM ~ Friday before the funeral services at the South Trinity Lutheran Church.
Leota "Lee" Almen, 76, Grafton, North Dakota. Lee was born June 16, 1929, Cooperstown, North Dakota.
Lee enjoyed sports, including curling, golfing, swimming, sailing, tennis and ice skating. As a winter Texan, she was able to do many of these activities year round. Her artistic activities included sewing, creative decorating, painting and poetry. Family and friends were a very important part of her life, both in North Dakota. She was a 4-H leader, a member of Homemakers and a birthday club, and active in the Plantation residential activities. She was an active member of South Trinity Lutheran Church and of the faith community in Pharr, North Dakota, two children, Barbara (Jim) Osvold of Moorhead, Tennessee, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, two sisters, Polly Stennes, East Grand Forks, North Dakota, two brothers, Wes (Mary Ann) Sutter of West Allis, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents a sister, Wilmina Monson, brother Kenneth Sutter and 4 infant siblings.
Services: 7:00 PM ~ Friday ~ April 28, 2006 at South Trinity Lutheran Church rural Grafton, Minnesota.
Visitation: 5:00PM ~ 7:00PM with a 6:30PM Prayer Service on Thursday ~ February 23, 2006 in Stennes Funeral Home
