Beatrice Dudgeon, 88, of East Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Beatrice Magdalene Dudgeon was born on June 18, 1917 the daughter of Martin and Sarah (Sherette) Shimek. Beatrice grew up and attended school in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. In 1956 she began employment at JC Penny’s in Grand Forks, Minnesota, Gary (Tootie Medd) Dudgeon of Grand Forks, Minnesota, one sister; Vivian (John) Crosby of Lancaster, TX; Jennifer (Jeremy) Moe, Farmington, MN; Michael Gorman, Victoria, MN; Elizabeth Gorman, St. Paul, MN; Kristi (Kenny) Redler, Lakeville, MN; Kelli (John) Gerbec, Omaha, NE; Kimberly (Travis) Effhauser, Grand Forks, ND; Andrew, Matthew, Caleb and Amelia Zavoral, East Grand Forks, MN; great grandchildren, Emily and William Crawmer, Sydney Moe, Anna and Noelle Gerbec;; brother Donald (Florence) Danielson, East Grand Forks, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael, 3 sisters, Opal Peterson, Hazel Saucerman, Willa Rackley, and one brother, Tommie Danielson.
John “Jack” E. O’Leary, 84, of Grand Forks, Texas. Jack was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota. After retiring from Crystal Sugar as a agriculture manager, he worked at First Bank, Grand Forks for four years. Jack married Shirley Grassel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on November 26, 1949. They made their first home in Manvel, and later Drayton and Hillsboro, North Dakota. Shirley preceded him in death on January 11, 2005.
Jack had a very strong faith saying the rosary nightly and as often as possible going to daily mass. He never missed mass during lent for over 40 years sometimes walking in stormy weather. He had a strong passion for golf and working with the soil. For many years he planted and maintained the flowerbeds at Cherry Street Town Homes and Valley Golf Course in East Grand Forks. Jack was a member of the American Legion and the VFW in East Grand Forks.
Jack leaves to cherish his memories his five children, sons; Brian (Sandy) of Springfield, North Dakota, Mike (Connie) of Fargo, TX, grandchildren, Courtney Carnahan, Connor, Cameron, Keith, Paul, Karin, and Michaela O’Leary, Kylor and Tory Schlaht. Jack is also survived by brother Duane (Pat) O’Leary of Oscoda, Minnesota.

Armilda grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, Minnesota. Armilda and Francis’s home was the gathering place for all the neighborhood children.Armilda was a charter member of First Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, North Dakota, Judith (Lyle) Smith of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, Bill (Betty) Jeffrey of Fosston, Minnesota, Bonnie Letlow of Janesville, North Dakota, and Donna Solarz of Chicago, Minnesota, passed away on Monday ~ January 9, 2006 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks, Minnesota. Ancel joined the United States Army and severed during WWII in the European Theater. Following his discharge from the army, he returned to Minnesota. In 1962 they moved to East Grand Forks, Minnesota, sons; Wilfred (Toni) Lindquist of Aurora, Colorado, John (Kathi) Lindquist of Grand Forks, Minnesota, six grandchildren Bradley (Erin) Scott, Timothy, Christopher, Matthew, Rachael Lindquist and several nieces and nephews..
Ancel is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Ida Anderson, Dagny Major and Myrtle Baker.

Donna Hart, 79, of East Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Donna Marie Hart was born on July 27, 1926, Grand Forks, Minnesota, where she enjoyed gardening and canning.
Donna is survived by her children; Donald (Sheila) Hart Sr., Cheryl Hart, and Larry (Vickie) Hart all of East Grand Forks, California, Bradley Hart of Concord, North Dakota, Mike (Denise) Hart of Grand Forks, South Carolina, Step Grandchild, Chad (Amber) Bechhold of Catina, Sicily,, 2 great grandsons; Donovan Hart and Step great grandson, Brayden Bechhold, brother; Harris (Marvel) Heen of Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl on October 22, 1993, and one sister; Rudella Sigurdson.

Donald Ray Hartje, 75, East Grand Forks, MN died Tuesday January 10, 2006 of natural causes in his home.
Donald was born November 20, 1930 in Drayton, ND the son of Clarence Hartje and Lillian Howell. He was raised in Hensel, ND until he was 13, then moved to Grand Forks where he attended and graduated from GF Central HS in 1948. On September 4, 1948, Donald married Lois Amanda Streich. Together they raised 4 children. Donald enlisted in the US Army in 1952, and served his country in the Korean War from 1952-53. He was Honorably Discharged in 1960.
Donald worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses such as Goodman's Furniture, Red Ray Lanes, GF Glass & Paint, The GF Elks Lodge, Eide Toyota Motor and Pierce Farms. Don was a realtor for Schoeller Realty. He also drove bus for New Flyer Bus Manufacturing, GF City Bus, EGF Head Start and drove taxi for GF Taxi. On October 1, 1993 Don married June Schothorst.
Don enjoyed bowling, coaching his children in Saturday morning Jr. bowling leagues, and playing pinochle. He was president of the ND State Bowling Association from 1968-69 and again from 1974-75. He also served as secretary of Grand Forks Bowling Ass'n. from 1961-1977. In 1991 Don was inducted into the Grand Forks Bowling Association Hall of Fame.
Don also enjoyed mowing grass and providing burial service at Pet Haven and Rest Haven Cemeteries, HWY 2 E, which he owned for the past 33 years.
Survivors include: Daughters Sherry (Thomas) Anderson of Wadena, MN; Kathy (Erik) Bauernfeind of Blue Jay, CA; and son Terry Hartje(fiancé Rhonda Hagl of Crookston) of East Grand Forks; four grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Laverne, Glenn, and Irwin; his son Bradley; and two wives, Lois and June.
Services: 10:30 AM Wednesday ~ January 18, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fisher, Minnesota and for an hour before services on Wednesday at the church
