Harry passed away on August 6, 1984 and Bessie moved to Good Samaritan Heritage Pines in 2001. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fisher, Minnesota, Harry (Helen) of Moorhead, North Dakota, 10 Grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, 2 sister-in-laws, Bernice Kaiser of Iron Ridge, Wisconsin. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, Emil, Ben, Henry, Fred, Leslie, and 2 sisters, Vlasta Kennedy and Libby Johnson.
Services: 10:30 AM Wednesday ~ January 18, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fisher, Minnesota and for an hour before services on Wednesday at the church.
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Fisher, Minnesota.
Visitation: 1:00 to 3:00 PM before the services on Friday.
Robert “Bob” Stieg, 49, of Meckling, South Dakota passed away on Sunday January 15, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center, Sioux City, Minnesota the son of Willard and Lois (Lieder) Stieg. He grew up in an Air Force family as his parents moved around the country and the world. They finally settled in Grand Forks, Minnesota, a son, Jason (Lisa) Stieg of West Fargo, North Dakota, James White of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, 4 step-grandchildren, a sister, Julie (William) Renner of Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska and brother, Richard (Stacey) Stieg of Holland, Minnesota.
Visitation: 1:00 to 3:00 PM before the services on Friday.
Burial: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Visitation: 6 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, North Dakota on October 14, 1948 to Arthur and Donna (Peterson) Srnsky. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1967 and served 2 tours in Vietnam, 1 tour in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1970. He then enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard where he served 6 years. One of Don’s highlights of his service in the US Coast Guard was the assistance with the search for the Edmond Fitzgerald on Lake Superior. Don was very proud of his military carrier. He returned to Grand Forks where he worked at the United Hospital as a maintenance electrihan for a few years. For the past 26 years he has been employed with Minnkota Power as an Electrician. Don was united in marriage to Viola Clark on June 16, 1995. Don loved and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, restoring old vehicles, woodworking, and many other hobbies.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Viola of Grand Forks, a son, Donny and his wife Maria, a grandson, Donovan, 2 step-grandchildren, Cody & Mariela all of Snohomish, North Dakota.

She grew up in Drayton, North Dakota and settled in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Kimberly (Scott) Walters of Mandan, North Dakota, 1 sister Charlene (Jim) Seifert of Lansing, Minnesota and Richard Bieganski of Drayton, North Dakota.
Visitation: Thursday from 5-7 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service at the Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, North Dakota in the spring.

Victor Kaste, 84 of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Victor Harrison Kaste was born on March 25, 1921 in Overly, ND, the son of Andres and Gina (Tjon) Kaste. Victor’s parents passed at a young age, and he was raised by his Uncle Alf and Aunt Annie in Conway, ND where he attended school.In 1940 he joined the United States Navy, serving his country during WW II on the USS Lexington, retiring as Chief Aviation Ordnanceman. Following his discharge from the Navy, he attended carpentry school in Long Beach, CA, and was a life long member of the East Grand Forks American Legion and the East Grand Forks VFW.He moved to Grand Forks, ND and on May 31, 1952 he was united in marriage to Gloria Stallmo in East Grand Forks, MN. He owned and operated “Vic Kaste Contracting” until retiring in 1983. Victor built many homes and businesses in the greater Grand Forks area and continued doing carpentry work until the time of his death. Victor will be greatly missed by his friends and neighbors, and his dog Princess. Victor was awarded his 50 year membership on Saturday ~ March 11, 2006 of the American Legion Club Post 157, of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, seven grandchildren; Bethany, Bradley, Brent, Brandon, Justin, Nicholas, and Hunter, four great grandchildren, Jordyn, Jayce, Riley, and Chase; three brothers; Grant Kaste of Tacoma, Florida, and Morris Kaste of Chicago, North Dakota in the spring.
