Kristi Lynn Rousseau
Kristi Lynn Rousseau Moulds, 46, of rural Fisher, Minnesota on April 29, 1957, the daughter of Robert and Joan (Hunstad) Rousseau. She grew up near Crookston, was baptized and confirmed at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston, and graduated from Central High School in 1975. On April 28, 1978 she was united in marriage to Duane Melvin Moulds at the Cathedral. Kristi and Duane made their home at rural Fisher. Three sons, Brandon, Luke, and Casey, were born to their union. Kristi was employed at the American Crystal Sugar Company as a lab technician from 1975 until ill health forced her retirement in October of 2002. She had enjoyed her work and the camaraderie of her co-workers tremendously, throughout her career as a "lifer" at Crystal.
Kristi enjoyed working in her flower garden, doing crafts, and going camping and fishing. She was also a sports enthusiast and played softball for many years in the Women's Softball League. Kristi loved watching her sons play football for Fisher High School, and was called "mom" by many of their teammates and friends. She was the cheerleader in the stands that every team likes to have, and her ability to motivate other parents and fans to cheer the team on was legendary. She had a hearty laugh and a yell that was, to put it mildly, "unique." One didn't have to actually see Kristi to know that she was at the game. She was always cheerful, and had a very giving and sharing nature; the type of person that others just wanted to be around. She considered her family to be her greatest treasure, and they, in turn, were very blessed to have her as a wonderful wife, mom, daughter, sister, and aunt. Kristi will be deeply missed and very lovingly remembered by them all, as well as her many, many friends.
Loving family members include her husband, Duane; three sons, Brandon of Grand Forks, ND, and Luke and Casey, both at home; her mother, Joan Rousseau of Crookston, MN; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bobbi and Philip Peterson of Milaca, MN, and Renae and David Warn of Arvada, CO; a brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Jill Rousseau of Hortonville, WI; seventeen nieces and nephews; her parents-in-law, Melvin and Barb Moulds of Fisher, MN; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Kristi was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Shorty" Rousseau; and her grandparents, Anton and Ethel Hunstad, and Ray and Ruby Rousseau.
The funeral service for Kristi Lynn Moulds will be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston, Minnesota State Fair and the Crookston Winter Show, farming, camping with his family, getting donuts with his granddaughters, or building a tree-house with his grandsons.
