Donna I. Burns
Born: May 03, 1936
Died: December 31, 2014

Donna I. Burns, age 78, of Boonville, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Lakeview Health Care & Rehab in Boonville, Missouri.

She was born on May 3, 1936 in Callaway, Nebraska, the daughter of Donald and Irene (Kellogg) Shipley.

She grew up in Nebraska, later moving to a farm in Colorado.

She was united in marriage to Royston Cowdin, who preceded her in death. She made her home in California, Nebraska, Wyoming and Kansas, before moving to Warsaw in 2003.

She is survived by two daughters; Toni Clarkson and her husband Ryan, of Warsaw and Peggy Harding, of Salem, Oregon, two sons; Don Cowdin and his wife Lisa and John Cowdin and his wife Sherry all of Wichita, Kansas, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements for her cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri.

Chris Lynn Brandsberg
Born: November 22, 1960
Died: January 06, 2015

Chris L. Brandsberg, age 54, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away at his home on January 6, 2015.

He was born in Moscow, Idaho, on November 22, 1960, the son of John W. and Dorothy Lynn Brandsberg.

The family lived in several places during his childhood from Washington, D.C. to Washington state but he was raised mostly in Kansas and Missouri. He was a graduated of Olathe High School in Olathe, Kansas, and attended college in Warrensburg, Missouri, at Central Missouri State University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree. He was an advocate for disabled people after becoming injured in an accident in 1990.

He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt whenever he was younger. He liked to ride his ATV and was a very good chess player.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy, of Spearfish, South Dakota, two sisters, Jill Pridgeon, of Newport, Oregon, and Roxanne Nokamura, of Vancouver, Washington, one brother, John Brandsberg, of Portland, Oregon, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Daniel J. DeKeyser
Born: April 18, 1960
Died: January 12, 2015

Daniel J. DeKeyser, age 54, of LaMonte, Missouri passed away Monday, January 12, 2015.

He was born on April 18, 1960 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Joseph DeKeyser and Judith K. Hill.

Dan grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Washington High School, class of 1978.

He later was united in marriage to Glenda Allen on June 18, 2010 in Sedalia, Missouri. They made their home in LaMonte, Missouri. Dan was employed by the University of Central Missouri as an HVAC technician.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph DeKeyser.

He is survived by his wife Glenda, of the home, four children; Jennifer DeKeyser-Hurd, of Friendswood, Texas, Donald DeKeyser, of Colorado, Sarah DeKeyser-Hurd, of Friendswood, Texas and Brian DeKeyser, of Kansas City, Kansas, his mother Judy Allen and her husband Scott, of Kansas City, Kansas, three brothers; Jeff DeKeyser and his wife Theresa, Tim DeKeyser and Paul DeKeyser and his wife Cyndy all of Kansas City, Kansas.

He is also survived by five grandchildren, his mother-in-law Darlene Allen, of Warsaw, numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Dan J. DeKeyser will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday.

Graveside services and military rites will follow the funeral at the Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw.

Roger Allen Cullen
Born: October 05, 1936
Died: January 20, 2015

Roger A. Cullen, age 78, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at his home near Warsaw.

He was born on October 15, 1936, in Seymour, Iowa, the son of Dean and Jennie McNamara Cullen.

He grew up in the Moline and East Moline, Illinois, area and entered the United States Navy in 1958 at the age of 17. After his discharge, he began working for Armour at their meat packing plants.

In 1966, he was married to Mary Deets in Sylvas, Illinois. They made their home in several places as he transferred with Armour, eventually landing in St. Joseph, Missouri.

When the Armour plant closed in St. Joseph, he went to work for Blue Side Tanning until his retirement.

Roger loved to fish and hunt and they had a weekend place near the Lake of the Ozarks. In 2008, they moved to their home near Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Blaine, and a brother Dick.

He is survived by his wife Mary, of the home, one son, Richard Cullen, of St. Joseph, three grandsons, Cory, Draetyn, and Jerrod, one brother, Marvin, and a sister, Jane, other relatives and many friends.

Roger requested to be cremated with no services.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Sheridan M. Green
Born: January 13, 1927
Died: January 20, 2015

Sheridan M. Green, age 88, formerly of Climax Springs, Missouri, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

He was born in Macks Creek, Missouri, on January 13, 1927, son of George N. Green and Ola (Osborne) Green.

Sheridan was a loving and caring person to one and all. He loved attending church and was a member of the Assembly Of God Church in Warsaw, Missouri. He enjoyed singing, farm work and mowing yards.

He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Ross Green, Charles Green, Ward Green, Albert Lee Green and infant brother.

Sheridan is survived by his nieces, Elaine Robinson of Oak Grove, Arkansas, and Brenda Denney Of Oak Grove, Arkansas, nephews, Terry Green of Laurie, Missouri, Gary Green of Grain Valley, Missouri, Tim Green of Raymore, Missouri, Steve Green of Independence, Missouri, John Green of Eugene, Missouri as well a several great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Burial will be held in the Parrack Grove Cemetery in Macks Creek, Missouri, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.

Ronnie Dean Flippin

Ronnie Dean Flippin, age 66, of Urbana, Missouri, passed away Wednesday morning, January 28, 2015, at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.

He was born in Warsaw, Missouri, on January 5, 1949, the son of Frank & Jean (Palmer) Flippin and Darrell & Dorris (Treese) Brown.

He grew up in Benton County, graduating from Warsaw High School, and served in the United States Army as a Military Police Canine Handler in Vietnam. After his military service, he received degrees in Criminal Justice and Fire Science from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg. He completed the Missouri State Highway Patrol Training Academy, and served many departments including: Kansas City Major Case Squad; Police Chief of Holden and Cole Camp, Missouri; and Deputy in Hickory and Benton counties, among others. He was also certified as a Firefighter and Paramedic and served the Gladstone Public Safety Department in all three capacities. He was an EMT Instructor for Kansas University, and worked for the City of Springfield Fire Department, from which he retired. After training in computer systems, he went to work for Smurfit-Stone Container as a Regional Procurement Manager where he was recognized for reducing costs in his division by over 2 million dollars.

Ronnie was a drummer, playing in various bands since he was a teenager.

He met his wife Shirley when they worked together at the Pomme de Terre Opry. They later formed their own band, Country Sunshine, playing for shows, dances and benefits all over the area. He also worked with Shirley at KBFL Radio, Buffalo, including announcing Bison basketball games.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Gary Brown and Ricky Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shirley, daughter Roxie, & son Ross, all of Urbana; children Michael, Cheri, and Kenny; several grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Brown and Dennis Brown; mother-in-law Helen Turner of Long Lane, numerous cousins, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at the Bethel Cemetery in Edwards, Missouri. The time and date for those services will be announced by Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, Missouri, as soon as they are scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at O’Bannon Bank, Buffalo, Missouri, for his childrens’ education costs.

Earl DeWaine Leonard
Born: July 12, 1934
Died: January 29, 2015

Earl DeWaine Leonard, Sr., age of 80, of Warsaw, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, from injuries he received in a home fire.

He was born on July 12, 1934, in Inola, Oklahoma, the son of George Henry and Zelma Riddle Leonard.

At an early age, he moved from Oklahoma to Missouri, with family. His work as a residential construction worker took him to Arkansas, Indiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, and any many other states.

In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and loved to fish Truman Lake and the Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed country music and watching western movies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, nine siblings, one son, Cade Leonard and one grandson.

He is survived by three sons, Al Leonard of Clinton, MO, Earl Dewaine Leonard, Jr., of Warsaw and Henry Leonard, of Keel, Texas, a daughter Donna Bailey of the state of California, six grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Barry Edwards, officiating.

Final resting place will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw, MO.

Arrangements entrusted to the care of Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO.

Randal D. Estes
Born: February 28, 1958
Died: July 23, 2014

Randal D. Estes, age 56 of Warsaw, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Camdenton.

He was born on February 28, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Elmer and Patricia Estes.

Randy grew up in the Hickman Mills area. He enjoyed race cars, boating and family. He carried on the family tradition owning and operating R.D. Estes Asphalt in Kansas City. He also worked for many years as a mechanic and truck driver.

In 2005, he moved to the Warsaw area and acquired many friends and neighbors. He will be sadly missed by many, especially Larry his furry friend and constant companion.

He is preceded in death by his father Elmer Estes and Grumpy Dog, his pet wolf.

He is survived by his mother Patricia, of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, son Jamie Estes, of Blue Springs, Missouri, brother Don Estes of Tennessee, and sisters; Susan Estes, of South Carolina and Diane Estes-Comp, of Arizona.

Funeral services for Randal D. Estes will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Graveside services and interment will be in the Bethel Campground Cemetery in Edwards.
