Barbara J. Eads

Barbara J. Eads, age 80, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of LaMonte, Missouri, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 27, 2011 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
She was born on April 30, 1930, in Warsaw, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar & Bessie (Barber) Stevenson.
She grew up in Warsaw, Tightwad and Sedalia, attending Smith-Cotton High School, in Sedalia. She later attended Central Missouri State University, in Warrensburg.
In May of 1951, she was united in marriage to Jerald Eads, in Yuma, Arizona. They made their home in the State of California, where Barbara was employed as a mechanic for Northrop Aircraft Manufacturing.
They later moved to LaMonte, where they owned and operated a family farm raising row crops and livestock. In the late 1990’s, they retired and moved to Columbia.
In Columbia, Barbara was active with the Senior Center and volunteered much of her time. She also enjoyed her friends at the Terrace Retirement Community, in Columbia.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, six sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Leivian, and her husband Jim, of Ashland, Missouri, two granddaughters Melanie Webb Baskurt and her husband Erol, of Columbia, Missouri, and Stephanie Webb O’Neil and her husband Brian Tim, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, three great-grandchildren; Amy Baskurt, Aidan O’Neil and Quin O’Neil, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Barbara Eads will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Clear Creek Cemetery, near Lincoln, with Pastor Gene Smith, officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jim Leivian, Erol Baskurt, Brian Tim O'Neil and Robert Westley Stevenson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association c/o the funeral home.
William G. "Bill" Stout, Jr.

William G. Stout, Jr., age 65, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 20, 2009, at his home in rural Edwards, Missouri.
He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on November 19, 1943, the son of William G. and Mary Ellen Freeman Stout.
He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Westport High School in the class of 1961. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was a member of the Mic-O-Say Tribe in the Heart of America Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He then enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in the Western Pacific area throughout most of his three-year tour of duty. He was discharged in 1964.
He then returned to the Kansas City area to make his home.
On November 27, 1970, he was united in marriage to Deborah Ann Toman. Unto this union, one daughter was born.
Bill was employed as a Broadcast and Audio Director for KSHB-TV Channel 41, until retiring in 1998. Soon afterwards, they moved to their lake home at Woodland Shores Development near Warsaw, and then to their farm home near Edwards, some nine years ago.
He had been a member of the Westport United Methodist Church in Kansas, for many years having transferred his membership to the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw, when they came to live here. He was active in the affairs of the church and contributed his technical talents to the benefit of numerous programs there on many occasions. He was also a member of the Gideon’s. He had been a licensed amateur radio operator since he was fifteen years old with the call sign of WA0WGN, and he was a member of the American Radio Relay League.
Bill is survived by his wife, Debbie, of the home, one daughter, Kenna Garcia, and her husband, Rudy, of Lubbock, Texas, two half-brothers, Stephen Allee, of Merriam, Kansas, and Mike Allee, of Overland Park, Kansas, one half-sister, Trish Deaver, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, several niece, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw, with Rev. Eric Derks officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church Benevolence Fund.
Charles L. Bailey

Charles L. "Leonard" Bailey, age 83, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri.
He was born on January 18, 1931 in Benton County, Missouri, the son of Floyd and Myrtle (Davis) Bailey.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was discharged in 1954 and made his home in Kansas City. He worked for twenty-eight years at Griffin Wheel, retiring in 1986, returning to his homestead in Fristoe, Missouri
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Bill and a sister Darlene.
He is survived by eight children; Phillip, Charles, Gary, Keith, Patricia, Pamela, Sheri and Steven, twenty-two grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.
Graveside services will be held, following the visitation, at the Fristoe Cemetery in Fristoe, Missouri
Charles B. Stowe, Jr.

Charles B. Stowe, Jr., age 87, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Tuesday evening, August 20, 2013 at the Christian Health Care Center in Hermitage, Missouri.
He was born on June 2, 1926 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Charles B. Stowe Sr. and Margaret (Hayes) Stowe.
He grew up in Springfield, and graduated from Central High School in 1944. He then enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps on December 7, 1944.
On May 13, 1945, he was united in marriage to Betty E. Rymer at Buckingham Army Air Force Base in Ft. Myers, Florida. Following their marriage they lived on the base until he was discharged in 1946.
They then moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and later to Springfield, Missouri. After graduating from college with a degree in engineering, Charlie began working in construction. He worked as the superintendent overseeing construction of the Chanute High School and the Hospital in Chanute, Kansas. He then moved to Holden, Missouri, where he began his career, working in the furniture business for Betty’s uncle Claude Rymer.
After purchasing Gatliff Brothers Furniture in 1964, he moved his family to Warsaw, naming their new business Stowe & Sons Furniture. Charles and Betty operated the furniture store for thirty-nine years, until retiring in 2003.
Charles was a member of the Jaycees and the Chamber of Commerce in Holden, Missouri. A member of the Warsaw Christian Church, the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, the American Legion, Warsaw Community Betterment and the Warsaw Community Development Corporation. Charles was also instrumental in attracting and bringing the Unitog Manufacturing Company to Warsaw. He was a member of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge of Warsaw, the Scottish Rite and the York Rite. Charlie also worked many years, calling bingo for the American Legion and the Shrine Club.
He was very involved in local politics, once, running for the position of Presiding Judge in Benton County.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles B. Stowe Sr., Margaret A. Stowe and his loving wife Betty E. Stowe.
He is survived by two sons, Charles B. Stowe, III and his spouse Becky Dameron of Polk City, Iowa, Drew Stowe and his wife Debbie, of Warsaw, Missouri. He also leaves three grandchildren, Christopher E. Stowe and his wife Mandy, of Springdale, Arkansas, Dalton Stowe, of Chillicothe, Missouri and Dedra Stowe, of Warsaw, two great-grandchildren, Maria Stowe and Christopher Stowe, Jr. also of Springdale, Arkansas. He also leaves three sisters, Peggy Hazel, of Sikeston, Missouri, Patty West, of Centralia, Missouri and Jeannine Rogers, of Cheneyville, Louisiana, and many, many more friends and relatives.
Masonic rites and funeral services for Charles B. Stowe, Jr. will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri, with Rev. Richard Bowman, officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in his memory be made to: the Warsaw Senior Center – "Meals on Wheels" program or the "Benton County Food Pantry".
A. Roger Kugler

Alvin Roger Kugler, 58, of Cross Timbers (formerly of New York City) passed away Friday afternoon, June 26th, 2015 in Springfield, MO, following a short illness.
Roger was born August 23, 1956 at the Latham Clinic in California, MO, to Alvin Robbinson and Alice Mae (Kinslow) Kugler.
He grew up on the family farm near Cross Timbers, and attended the Cross Timbers United Methodist Church where he was a member. Roger graduated from Skyline High School, earned a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Southwest Missouri State (MSU) and did graduate work as a teaching assistant of voice at the University of Missouri. He lived in Dublin and Cork, Ireland, while he was performing in productions of ‘Oklahoma’ and ‘Pirates of Penzance’. Roger studied voice and acting in New York City, actively pursued a career in television and film and was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He earned his certificate as a sommelier and wine expert in 2005 from the Sommelier Society of America. In 2009, he was judged the Top Sommelier in the Third International Copa de Jerez held in Spain.
Following the death of his father in July of 2011, Roger returned to the family farm and continued to work part-time as a consultant for the Gregory White P.R. firm. Some of his many other interests were architecture, traveling, antiques and auctions.
Roger is survived by his mother, his sister, Alice Marie Bristow (Richard) of Rome, GA; nieces, Jeddie Bristow of Columbus, GA and Wendy Bristow of Rome, GA; uncles, Gene Kinslow (Naomi) of Fordland; Jim Kinslow (Carol) of Ramona, CA; George Kugler (Dolores) Springfield; aunts, Linda Bridges (Wilbur) of Rogersville, Carol Blischke of San Diego and Frances Bennett of Covington, GA, great aunt, Letha Kinslow Cowell of Urbana and many dear cousins, colleagues and friends all of whom will miss him greatly.
Services for Roger Kugler will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, MO, with visitation at 1 p.m. and Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. with Pastor Josh Ritzheimer officiating.
Linda Bridges will be the pianist.

Mary "Susie" Rose

Mary "Susie" (Spradley) Rose, age 65, of Lincoln, went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2013 at her home.
She was born June 17, 1947 in Independence, Missouri, to Jesse W. and Virginia Fay (Smith) Spradley.
On April 1, 1967, she was united in marriage to Donald Lee Pendergraft.
On September 15, 1987, she was married to Jesse Steven Rose, who preceded her in death in 2001.
Susie is survived by her children, Donald Ray Pendergraft, Enid, Oklahoma, Melissa Fay Jones, Purdy, Missouri, Jeffrey Frank Rose, Enid, Oklahoma, Johnny Lee Rose, Dow City, Iowa, Terry Allen Rose, Arcadia, Kansas, and Sofrona Howard, Franklin, Kansas, and numerous grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles George Spradley and Gary Dean Spradley, and one son, Jesse Harold Rose.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Billie Kay Kellerstrass

Billie K. Kellerstrass, age 71, of Warsaw, passed away Friday morning at her home.
She was born on December 2, 1943 in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ivan A. and Verna Lucille Montgomery Knapp.
She graduated from Pittsfield High School in Pittsfield, IL.
She was married to Ron W. Johnson and unto that union, three children were born. He preceded her in death.
Billie later married Earl Kellerstrass and they had made their home near Warsaw, for the past several years.
She is survived by her husband, Earl, of the home, three children, Tim Johnson of Lincoln, MO, Tammy Hardinhas of Cameron, MO, and Suzanne Norton, of Columbia, MO, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, her mother, Verna Knapp, of Barry, IL, three sisters, Peggy Beno of Cascade, Michigan, Jane Grimes of Pittsfield, IL, and Nancy Daugherty, of Barry, IL, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Cremation.

Oran Glenn Bell

Oran G. "Bill" Bell, age 86, of Oak Grove, Missouri, formerly of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015, in Kansas City, Missouri.
He was born on October 5, 1928, in DeKalb County, Alabama, the son of Milford & Bessie Moss Bell.
He was united in marriage to Sarah Decker on December 2, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri. They lived in Kansas City, until 1974 and then moved to Warsaw, where they owned and lived on their farm.
Sarah preceded him in death on June 22, 2006, and now they are together again. Oran was a kind and gentle soul, and was loved by all who knew him.
Beside his beloved wife Sarah, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Pat Bell.
He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Bell and Bobby Bell. He also leaves four nieces, Patricia, Debbie, Alice, and Linda, along with two nephews, Paul and Kenny.
Graveside services and interment for Oran G. Bell will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at the Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw.
