Leona Mae Gulley
Born: March 06, 1939
Died: June 13, 2016

Hands of love and care for so many years. Beautiful hands. Soulful hands. My mom has hands that bear the scars of many years of hard work caring for and loving others. Family holding her and saying their final goodbyes.

Leona Mae Gulley passed from this life into the waiting arms of her eternal Father on Monday, June 13, 2016, at the Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on March 6, 1939, in Westphalia, Kansas, the daughter of Leonard and Lela Sturdivant VanDollah.

Her family lived in the Argentine, Kansas area. Her mother died when she was only twelve years old so she lived in California for a time with an Aunt and Uncle. She returned to Kansas City and graduated from Central High School. She started working for Kansas City Internal Medicine in the collection department and would work for them for twenty-five years. She then worked for Anesthesia Associates of Kansas City. She lived in Raytown this whole time and raised her family there.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Bonnie Winterscheidt.

She is survived by two daughters, Tracie Callahan, and her husband Pat, of Warsaw, and Marta Johnston, of Stockton, Kansas, and a step-son, Michael Gulley, of Olathe, Kansas, five grandchildren, Christopher Callahan, and his wife Kelsie, Kirsten Callahan, and significant other, Matt Stolle, Corey Callahan, all of Warsaw, Corey Johnston and Tyler Johnston, of Kansas, four great-grandchildren, Maci and Jayli Callahan, Keirra Stolle, and Ericka Johnston, other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Leona Gulley will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016, from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M., at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Memorial services will then begin at 6:00 Thursday with Pastor Barry Edwards, officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made to her Church Cedar Grove Baptist Church, The Breast Cancer Foundation or American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.

Eunice B. Harms
Born: January 15, 1925
Died: June 15, 2016

Eunice Bertha Harms, age 91, of Cole Camp, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp, MO.

She was born on January 15, 1925, near Cole Camp, the daughter of Harry John and Anna Margaret (Mueller) Heisterberg.

She was baptized on March 15, 1925 and confirmed on April 10, 1938, at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Karl Nierman. She attended schools in Cole Camp, Missouri.

On February 24, 1946, Eunice was united in marriage to Ervin Henry Kreisler at Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. Henry Geirke. Ervin preceded her in death on September 28, 1970.

At Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Missouri, on September 14, 1974, she was united in marriage to John Adam Harms by the Rev. M. Duchow. John preceded her in death on February 17, 1993.

Eunice was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Cole Camp and after moving to Lincoln she became a member of Zion Lutheran.

She was a homemaker and loved the outdoors, nature, flowers and gardening. For a number of years, Eunice worked at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with her dear family and baking the grandchildren's favorite cookies. She was an excellent seamstress and made many of her own clothes.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Jeanette Sullins, Raytown, MO, two stepsons, Don Harms and wife, Ellen, of Cole Camp and Rick Harms of Carthage, MO, three grandchildren, Tim Sullins and wife, Carie, of Lee's Summit, MO, Greg Sullins, of Forth Worth, TX and Jill Hontz of Lee's Summit, MO, two step-grandchildren, Bryan Harms and wife, Sarah, O'Fallon, MO and Jason Harms of Kansas City, MO, 6 great-grandchildren, Patrick and Halle Sullins of Lee's Summit, Austin, Robyn and Alyssa Sullins, of Ft. Worth, TX, and Ethan Hontz of Lee's Summit, six step-great-grandchildren, Alex Hontz, Kelci Stephenson, Dallas Snow and Cameron Snow, all of Lee's Summit, Mason Harms and Avery Harms of O'Fallon, MO, several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Acker and Ethel Cowan.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 20, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. at the Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Leonard Poppe officiating.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 at the church on Monday and friends may call at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln MO, Sunday afternoon between 1:00 and 5:00 P.M.

Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Cole Camp, MO.

Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society in care of the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO.

Arrangments entrusted to the care of Davis-Miller Funeral Home, 119 W. Main St, Lincoln, MO.

Ruth E. Cook
Born: July 14, 1931
Died: June 15, 2016

Ruth Eileen Cook, age 84, passed away on June 15, 2016 at Bothwell Hospital, Sedalia, Mo.

She was born at home in Independence, Mo. on July 14, 1931 to parents John and Eliza (Jones) Taylor.

At age 8, she accepted Jesus as her Saviour and was baptized into the RLDS church.

On June 12, 1948, Ruth married Delman V. Andes. To this union eight children were born.

On August 7,1976, she married Joseph Stanley Cook and two step sons were added to her family. She was a loving mother and wonderful homemaker.

Those preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Stan Cook, one daughter, Launa Nuscius, three sisters, Virginia Butterworth, Rosalie Cook, and Mary Nemecheck, one brother, Albert Taylor and one step son, Bob Cook.

Surviving are her children, Linda Forsythe, Gladstone, Mo., Gerald Andes and wife, Becky, Jericho Springs, Mo., David Andes and wife, Velda, Deepwater, Mo., Darel Andes, Lincoln, Mo., Cheryl Chappell, Chilhowee, Mo., Ronald Andes and wife, Shelley, Phoenix, Ar., Brian Andes, Schaumburg, Ill., and Joe Cook and wife Laura, Houston, Tx. Also surviving are sisters Alberta Steele and husband Thomas, Knob Noster, Mo. and Florence King and husband Howard, Versailles, Mo., and brothers John Taylor and wife Pat, Grandview, Mo., and George William Taylor and wife Laura, Lihue, Hawaii.

She also leaves 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., June 20, 2016 at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln with Rev. Thomas Steele officiating.

Graveside services and interment will follow at the Lincoln Cemetery.

Betty Jane Mead
Born: October 03, 2030
Died: June 15, 2016

Betty Jane Mead, age 85, of Fayette, MO, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the University of MO Hospital in Columbia, MO.

She was born on October 3, 1930, in Benton County, MO, the daughter of Frank and Fyrne (Thurman) Robinson.

She grew up in southern Benton County and graduated from Warsaw High School.

On May 6, 1951, she was united in marriage to John Mead at Fayette, MO. Following their marriage they moved to Kansas City, MO, where she was employed by Sears as a secretary, retiring after 25 years of service.

Following retirement they moved to Fayette, MO.

Betty and John enjoyed traveling in their RV visiting family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and making pies.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fayette, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, a son, John Jr., and two sisters, Joan Moore and Jean Anderson.

She is survived by one son, Rob Mead, and wife, Cathy, of Kearney, MO, four grandchildren and two great-grandsons, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 21,2016, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO, with Pastor James Briggs officiating.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday prior to services.

Burial will be in New Home Cemetery, Warsaw, MO.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fayette, P.O. Box 550, Fayette, MO 65248.

George W. Dunn
Born: August 02, 1956
Died: June 18, 2016

George W. Dunn, age 59, of Warsaw, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 18, 2016, at his home.

He was born on August 2, 1956, in Cook County, Illinois, the son of George and Jeanette (Prell) Dunn.

He grew up in Worth, Illinois, and graduated from Harold L. Richards High School. He received his associate degree from Vatterott College in Springfield, MO, and worked for several companies in computer aided drafting in Springfield.

He had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and had attended the Oaklawn Bible Church in Oaklawn, IL. He enjoyed fishing in the Ozarks, building scale rocket models and watching movies.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Terrance Lane.

George is survived by two sisters, Suzanne Dowell and her husband, Dennis, of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Maureen Lane of Warsaw, two nieces, Amanda Payne, and husband, Ty, and Emily Smith and her husband, Matt, a nephew, Rick Dowell and one great-nephew, Parker Smith, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for George W. Dunn will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 30, 2016, at the Reser Funeral Home with Cliff Saupe officiating.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO.

Donald Eugene Barton

Born: December 11, 1961
Died: May 31, 2016

Donald "Brother Don" Barton, 54 of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away suddenly at his home on May 31, 2016.

Don was born in Tacumsa, Nebraska, on Dec 11, 1961 to Paul and Mary Barton.

Don was the youngest of 10 children. He attended high school in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Don was taught diesel repair by his older brothers and spent many years working by their sides.

Don and Tracy moved to Warsaw in 2005, and on June 13, 2009, at their home, Don married Tracy D. Lambeth. Don was employed at Don's Truck Towing and Truck Wash Inc. in Sedalia, Missouri as a mechanic for the last 10 years. Don loved running the smoker for his family and friends, Nascar, singing, fishing and beer.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Paul Barton, a sister, Theresa Barton, two brothers, Paul Barton and Bill Barton, a brother-in-law, Bill Crissler and mother-in-law, Emma Jean Lambeth.

Don is survived by his wife, Tracy, of the home, step-children, Lonnie Letts and Tara (Matt Dryer) Cullen, a granddaughter, Roslynn Letts, his mother, Mary Wilcox, four sisters, Vickie Crissler, Mary Lou (Gene) Morris, Jan (Dennis) Stakley and Betty Jo (Cliff) Sanders, two brothers, Howard (Debbie) Barton and Harold (Twen) Barton, a brother-in-law, Bobby Lambeth, father-in-law, Robert Lambeth, two sister-in- laws, Rhonda Spencer and Tammy (John) Stewart, many, many nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials be made to the Friends of the Zoo, Eagles of North America in Don's memory.

Melinda Kay Ramsell
Born: November 04, 1967
Died: May 29, 2016

Melinda Kay Ramsell, age 48, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO.

She was born on November 4, 1967, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of R. Wade and Ruth Ann (Wilhelm) Land.

Due to her mother's passing at a young age, she was raised by her grandparents, Herbert and Anna Wilhelm.

She grew up in Kansas City, and graduated from Freeman High School. She worked as a cashier for several truck stops in the Kansas City area. In 2012, she moved to Warsaw and made her home with her father, Wade Land.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.

She is survived by her father, Wade Land, of Warsaw, siblings, Melissa Ann Lindsey and Nina Wilhelm, both of Pleasant Hill, MO, Herbert A. Wilhelm of Creighton, MO, a half-sister, Dana M. Land, of Kansas City, MO, other relatives and friends.

Melinda's death was untimely and due to her previous consent, she was an organ donor and has helped several people due to her belief in organ donation.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at 2:00 P.M., at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO, with Rev. Van Mellen officiating.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday prior to services.

Memorials may be made to the Benton County Cancer Fund in care of the funeral home.

Edwin Lane Olson
Born: October 27, 1944
Died: May 10, 2016

Edwin L. Olson, age 71, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at the Lincoln Community Care Center in Lincoln, Missouri.

He was born on October 27, 1944, in Junction City, Kansas, the son of Walter and Edith Edwards Olson.

He married Patricia Goodin in Clay Center, Kansas on July 27, 1963.

He worked in Alaska, and for J.C. Penny as a personnel manager. He and Pat enjoyed being team truck drivers who traveled throughout the country until retirement. In 1989, they relocated to Warsaw, Missouri and during retirement they started going South for the winters to begin full-time RV travel. During this time, they performed volunteer work for many organizations.

He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Glen Olson, Wayne Olson, Jean Geromini, and his granddaughter, Derchae Paul.

He is survived by his wife, Pat, his son Rick Olson, and his wife, Jennifer, of Summerville, South Carolina, daughter, Dawn Paul, and her husband Brian, of Lincoln, Missouri, and daughter, Amber Olson and her husband Tony Crump, of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Avery, Jenna, Casey, Devaroe, Steven, Christopher, Veda, Emilia, and Chais, and one great-granddaughter, Brenna, other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service for Edwin Olson will be held on June 10, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Warsaw.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
