Hattie L. Culver

Hattie Louise (Austin) Culver, 85, St. Joseph, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at an Overland Park, Kan., hospital.
Mrs. Culver was employed for 24 years at Seitz Packing Co., retiring in 1967, and was a member of the United Packing House Workers Union.
Born April 22, 1913, in Troy, Kan., she was a lifelong St. Joseph resident.
Mrs. Culver was a member of Caring First Assembly of God Church, St. Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Culver, in 1988; her parents, George and Rose Austin; and a brother, Romey Leach.
Surviving: a son, Bill, Weston, Mo.; two daughters, Doris Keller, Spring Hill, Kan., and Linda Ingram, St. Joseph; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Stephen M. Dolinar
1954-1999
HATFIELD, Mo. -- Stephen Michael Dolinar, 44, Hatfield, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Dolinar was employed in equipment sales before his retirement.
Born Aug. 24, 1954, in Shawnee, Kan., he resided in the Pattonsburg, Mo., area until moving to Hatfield four years ago.
On March 24, 1986, he married Mary I. Lemons in Kansas City, Kan. She survives of the home.
Mr. Dolinar was preceded in death by his father, Stephen J.
Additional survivors: two daughters, Angela, Mission, Kan., and Krystal, Kansas City, Kan.; two stepsons, Michael and Robert Eskridge, both of the home; his mother, Dorothy, Gladstone, Mo.; and a sister, Dorothy Gragg, Kansas City, Mo.
Services: There are no services or visitations scheduled for Mr. Dolinar. The body has been cremated. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Martha E. McKibben
1927-1999
ATCHISON, Kan. -- Martha E. "Pat" (Ball) McKibben, 71, Atchison, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at an Atchison hospital.
Mrs. McKibben worked in California as a telephone operator for two years before returning to Atchison, where she worked for Wilson Poultry Co. She later worked at the Electra Co., Atchison, until it closed. In 1961, Mrs. McKibben began working as a seamstress for Saunders Manufacturing Co, retiring after 30 years of service in 1991.
Born April 13, 1927, in Sumner, Kan., she attended Atchison High School.
Mrs. McKibben was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the American Association of Retired Persons.
On Dec. 27, 1947, she married Harold McKibben in Atchison. He survives of the home.
Mrs. McKibben was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Martha E. Ball; a brother, James A. Ball; and a sister, Rebecca Fridell.
Additional survivors: a daughter, Debra S. Gerber, Atchison; a son, John H., Atchison; a brother, John T. Ball, Atchison; a sister, Jacqueline Bullock, St. Joseph; and four grandchildren.
Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, Atchison. Burial: Sumner Cemetery, south of Atchison. DEARBORN, Mo. -- Georgie Parrish, 74, Dearborn, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at a Kansas City hospital.
Mr. Parrish worked as a farm- hand in the Dearborn area for many years.
Born Jan. 24, 1924, near Dearborn, he attended school there.
Mr. Parrish was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Mary; and a sister, Maude.

Eva M. Snipes

Eva M. (Lyon) Snipes, 80, St. Joseph, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at her residence.
Born in St. Joseph on April 29, 1918, Mrs. Snipes was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Snipes was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel; her parents, Albert and Burtha Lyon; and three sisters, Beulah Hixson, Frances Bauman and Hazel Wright.
Surviving: a son, Ricky, St. Joseph; a daughter, Deborah Allen, St. Joseph; two sisters, Leona Vaughn and Ruth Kearnes, both of St. Joseph; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchildren.

William E. Theurer
1923-1999
ATCHISON, Kan. -- William E. Theurer, 75, Atchison, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at a Kansas City hospital.
Mr. Theurer was a farmer in Huron, Kan., until 1976, when he moved to Atchison. He later worked as maintenance supervisor for the Atchison County (Kan.) Courthouse from 1981 to 1989.
Born April 27, 1923, in Atchison, he attended Atchison High School.
Mr. Theurer was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lancaster, Kan., Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1175, and the Fleming-Jackson-Seever American Legion Post No. 6, both of Atchison.
On June 5, 1946, he married Gladies Sternsdorff in Lancaster. She survives of the home.
Mr. Theurer was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Daisy; his stepmother; and a brother, George Jr.
Additional survivors: two sons, Clinton, Atchison, and Barry, Iowa Park, Texas; a daughter, Katie Poteet, Antlers, Okla.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

V. John Boner

PENROSE, Colo. -- V. John Boner, 51, Penrose and Columbia, Mo., formerly of St. Joseph, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at a Denver hospital.
Mr. Boner was vice-president of O'Brien Partition Co. for 20 years before retiring to Colorado.
Born Jan. 5, 1948, in St. Joseph, he moved to Kansas City at the age of 18. He resided in St. Charles, Mo., for 12 years before returning to St. Joseph, where he resided for nine years. He then moved to Columbia, where he lived for three years.
On Nov. 18, 1994, he married Sharon L. Seever in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors: three daughters, Susan Sullivan, Overland, Mo., Sharon Boner, St. Joseph, and Kimberly Skoch, Columbia; a son, Craig Skoch, Rolla, Mo.; his mother, Doris E. Martin, Stanberry, Mo.; his father, Gene, St. Joseph; two sisters, Barbara Worthley, Harrisonville, Mo., and Kathie Brown, St. Joseph; and two grandchildren.

Ottman W. Burge

TARKIO, Mo. -- Ottman Winfred Burge, 79, Tarkio, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at a Tarkio health-care center.
Mr. Burge worked as a farmer before moving to Carlton, Ore., where he worked in a sawmill until 1959. He then drove a truck for a Carlton Construction Co. until he retired in 1981.
Born July 11, 1919, near Craig, Mo., he served in the Army during World War II, and was a former member of the American Legion.
On June 2, 1940, he married Virginia Barker in Fortescue, Mo. She died in 1987. In 1989, he married Opal Pierce in Fairfax, Mo. She survives of the home.
Mr. Burge also was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Normal; a sister, Cora Rollins, and a half brother, L.D.

Genevieve L. Carbry
1910-1999
Genevieve L. (Foster) Carbry, 88, St. Joseph, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Mrs. Carbry, a homemaker, also was employed at the former Western Tablet Co. for 18 years, retiring in 1960.
Born July 27, 1910, in St. Joseph, she was a graduate of the original Benton High School, St. Joseph.
Mrs. Carbry was a member of St. Joseph's Cathedral Catholic Church, and the St. Anne's Altar Society and Ladies of Charity, both of the church. She also was a member of the Lover's Lane Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, St. Joseph.
On Feb. 10, 1945, she married J. Thomas Carbry. He died in 1979.
Mrs. Carbry also was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Bessie Foster; a sister, Neta K. Foster; and two brothers, William and Donald Foster.
Surviving: three nephews, J. Patrick Nerney, St. Joseph, Joseph Nerney, Crown Point, Ind., and Thomas C. Nerney, Lenexa, Kan.

OREGON, Mo. -- Laura M. (Campbell) Dozier, 84, Oregon, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at an Oregon health-care center.
Mrs. Dozier, a homemaker, was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Born March 27, 1914, in Turney, Mo., Mrs. Dozier lived in Holt County, Mo., and attended the New Point (Mo.) School.
On Dec. 7, 1929, she married Glenn H. Dozier. They lived all of their married life in Forest City, Mo., and Oregon. Her husband, Glenn, died in 1986.
Mrs. Dozier also was preceded in death by a son, Glenn D.; her parents, George W. and Effie M. Campbell; five sisters, Elsie I., Anna M., Eva L., and Lela E. Campbell and Emma D. Ruth; and seven brothers, Elmer G., George T., Leonard, and James C. Campbell, and three infants.
Surviving: three sons, Melvin, Oregon, William C., Lowry City, Mo., and Howard, St. Joseph; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Larry E. Hager

Larry Eugene Hager, 47, St. Joseph, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Hager, a former x-ray technician, was born Jan. 31, 1951, in St. Joseph, where he lived his entire life.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mr. Hager was preceded in death by his father, Elmo.

WESTON, Mo. -- June (Lovelace) Kelley, 68, Weston, formerly of St. Joseph, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at a Kansas City hospital.
Born May 12, 1930, near DeKalb, Mo., Mrs. Kelley was a graduate of DeKalb High School.
On Oct. 9, 1948, she married Alvin E. Kelley in St. Joseph. In 1953, they moved near Camden Point, Mo., later moving to rural Weston in 1993. Her husband, Alvin, survives of the home.
Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by her parents, Dora E. and Sally O. Lovelace; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Dorothy M. Pollard

WARSAW, Mo. -- Dorothy M. Pollard, 77, Warsaw, formerly of St. Joseph, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at a Warsaw health-care center.
Miss Pollard was employed at Quaker Oats and later Whitaker Cable, both of St. Joseph.
Born Oct. 8, 1921, in Troy, Kan., she lived most of her life in the St. Joseph area until moving to Warsaw in November of 1998.
Miss Pollard was a member of the Wyatt Park Baptist Church and the Whitaker Cable Club, both of St. Joseph.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Gary; her parents, Jesse and Martha; four brothers, Clarence, Jewell, Chester and Bruce; and two sisters, Esther Duguid and May Carnes.
Surviving: a son, LeRoy, Warsaw; two brothers, Bob, Wathena, Kan., and Ralph, Savannah, Mo.; and two sisters, Louise Meeks, St. Joseph, and Ruth Kirk, West Minster, Colo.
