GRAHAM, Mo. - Tanya Lee (Turner) Law, 45, Graham, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, from injuries suffered in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 71, south of Maryville, Mo.
Mrs. Law was employed as a nurse's aide at the Village Care Center in Maryville.
Born in Excelsior Springs, Mo., on March 22, 1953, she had been a resident of Graham since 1985. She was a graduate of the Van Horn High School in Independence, Mo.; and was a member of the Graham United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Law was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Turner.
Surviving: two daughters, Tabitha and Nichole Law, both of the home; a son, Bradley, Graham; her mother, Alice M. Turner, Sugar Creek, Mo.; and two brothers, Dennis Turner, Oak Grove, Mo., and Mark Turner, Sugar Creek.
Service: 11 a.m. today, Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Burial: 3 p.m. today, Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence. There is no scheduled family visitation.
Wintress L. Meier
1915-1999
ROCK PORT, Mo. - Wintress L. (Brindle) Meier, 84, Rock Port, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at a health-care center in Rock Port.
Born in Rock Port on Jan. 17, 1915, Mrs. Meier was a lifelong resident of the Rock Port area.
A homemaker, she was a graduate of the Rock Port high school and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Westboro, Mo.
On Jan. 31, 1940, she married Charles H. Meier. He died in 1974.
Mrs. Meier also was preceded in death by her parents, George E. and Orah M.Brindle; and a sister, Lola Saucers.
Surviving: a daughter, Wintress J. Meier, Rock Port; two brothers, Earl Brindle, Fairfax, Mo., and Lewis Brindle, Rock Port; and a sister, Hazel Mitchell, Forest Grove, Ore.

Mary E. Metzgar
1909-1999
MOUND CITY, Mo. - Mary Elizabeth (Judy) Metzgar, 89, Mound City, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at a health-care center in Mound City.
Mrs. Metzgar, a homemaker, also had worked at the Western Tablet and Stationery Co., now Mead Products, in St. Joseph from 1946 to 1953.
Born near Mound City on March 14, 1909, she attended the Dale Center Rural School and was a graduate of the Bellevue High School.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Mound City and was a volunteer at the Mound City Nutrition Site.
On July 22, 1953, she married Jacob R. Metzgar. He died in 1976.
Mrs. Metzgar also was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Flora Judy; and two brothers, Larry and Harold Judy.
Surviving: a niece, Shirley Jones, Independence, Mo.; and a nephew, Donald Judy, Independence.

Jean I. Nutzman
1931-1999
FALLS CITY, Neb. - Jean I. (Schutte) Nutzman, 67, Falls City, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at the Falls City hospital.
Mrs. Nutzman had taught at the Williamsville Rural School, northeast of Falls City, for four years.
Born southwest of Verdon, Neb., on April 27, 1931, she was reared in that area and was a graduate of Dawson, Neb., high school. She attended the Peru, Neb., State Teachers College and University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Neb.
She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, northeast of Falls City, where she was active in Lutheran Church Women and served on the council. She also had been a 4-H Club leader, and served on the 4-H Club Council and Richardson County, Neb., Extension Council.
On Aug. 2, 1952, she married Edwin J. Nutzman in Pawnee City, Neb. They made their home northeast of Falls City and continued to live in that area. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Nutzman was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer A. and Mary Schutte; and four brothers, Albert, Elmer, Charles and Marion Schutte.
Additional survivors: a son, Rick, Falls City; a daughter, Dania Nutzman, Lincoln; two brothers, Jack and Jerry Schutte, both of Verdon; four sisters, Betty Dillion and Mary Jane Schutte, both of Sedalia, Ruth A. Maness, Syracuse, Mo., and Sherry Witler, Cambridge, Neb.; and three grandchildren.

Irene O. Roeder
1912-1999
Irene O. (Grimes) Roeder, 86, St. Joseph, died Tuesday, Feb., 16, 1999, at a Kansas City hospital.
Mrs. Roeder, a homemaker, also had worked for the cancer hospital in Savannah, Mo., for two years and as a dietician at the former Missouri Methodist Hospital of St. Joseph for seven years. She also had been employed as a cook at the Davis Restaurant for two years.
Born in Forbes, Mo., on May 23, 1912, she had spent most of her life in St. Joseph. She was graduated from the Forbes high school and was a former member of the Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in St. Joseph.
Mrs. Roeder was preceded in death by her husband, Emil, in 1973; a daughter, JoAnn Roeder; her parents, Roy and Agnes Grimes; and two grandchildren.
Surviving: four daughters, Sandra Smith, Sharon Roeder, Carol Strong and Shirley Lehman, all of St. Joseph; three brothers, John Grimes, St. Joseph, Arthur O'Connell, Oregon, Mo., and Dale O'Connell, Coweta, Okla.; five sisters, Pearl Lawton, Lathrop, Mo., Jeanie Deich and Ruth McCoy, both of St. Joseph, Beverly Fitzmaurice, Oregon, and Joy Shea, Bound Brook, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Regina I. Schinze
1918-1999
Regina I. (Moore) Schinze, 81, St. Joseph, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Schinze was employed by Anchor Serum for 13 years, as well as, Hillyard Sales Co., and Hund & Egger Bottling Co. She retired from the Graham Truck Lines after seven years due to ill health.
Born in St. Joseph on Jan. 22, 1918, she was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where she was active in St. Ann's Altar Society; Society of Memories Doll Museum, of which she was treasurer; and St. Joseph Women's Traffic Club, of which she was a past president. She also was active in Girls Scouts and Cub Scouts at St. Francis Xavier Elementary School.
On Sept. 25, 1936, she married Donald F. Schinze. He died in 1984.
Mrs. Schinze also was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Carla Moore; and a sister, Lillian Mendragal.
Surviving: a son, Kurt A., St. Joseph, with whom she had made her home; a daughter, Carla F. Lich, Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Aurie M. Tibbetts
1896-1999
Aurie M. (Ham) Tibbetts, 102, St. Joseph, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at a St. Joseph health-care center.
Mrs. Tibbetts had taught elementary school and high school in the Northwest Missouri area for several years before she was married. She and her husband, Clarence, had co-owned and operated an antique store for many years. She also had been employed as a bookkeeper and cashier at the Everett Shoe Store in St. Joseph for 20 years, retiring at age 80.
Born in Guilford, Mo., on April 26, 1896, she had lived most of her life in St. Joseph and was a former resident of Maryville, Mo. She was a member of the Huffman United Methodist Church in St. Joseph.
In 1919, she married Clarence E. Tibbetts. He is deceased.
Mrs. Tibbetts also was preceded in death by two sons, Melvin E. and Gene E.; her parents, Frederick E. and Elzina Ham; and two brothers, Frank P. and John T. Ham.
Surviving: two daughters, June R. Craig, St. Joseph, and Betty L. Kirschner, Cottonwood, Ariz.; a brother, Emmett Ham, Irvine, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

LIBERTY, Mo. - Arlene Grace (Holbrook) Walker, 80, Liberty, formerly of Hamilton, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at the Liberty hospital.
Mrs. Walker, a homemaker, was born in Hamilton on Sept. 26, 1918, and had lived in the Hamilton area most of her life before moving to a health-care center in Liberty three years ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean A., in 1971; and her parents, John and Ruth Holbrook.
Surviving: four sons, Melvin, Kidder, Mo., Donald, Springfield, Mo., Gary, Kansas City, Mo., and Michael, Lake Ozark, Mo.; four daughters, Martha Madinowski, Kansas City, Kan., Elizabeth A. Nole, Kansas City, Mo., Sandra Diven, Hamilton, and Nancy Shepard, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; a brother, Virgil Holbrook, Hamilton; two sisters, Betty and Norma Holbrook, both of Kansas City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

J. Foster Berry

BERLIN, Mo. - Joseph Foster Berry, 93, Berlin, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Mr. Berry, a farmer, was a graduate of the Grandview High School, Berlin.
Born Sept. 2, 1905, in northern DeKalb County, Mo., he lived his entire life in the county. He was a member of the Maysville (Mo.) Baptist Church.
On April 14, 1929, he married Iola B. Cook in Berlin. She survives of the home.
Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary; three sisters, Ethel Eulinger, Gertrude Ball and Inez Dunham; and an infant brother, Dale.
Additional survivors: a daughter, Marilyn Bivens, Parker, Colo.; two sons, Wendell F. and Stanley E., Maysville; a sister, Anna Slaybaugh, Huntington Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pearl Campbell

MOUND CITY, Mo. - Pearl (Mullins) Campbell, 89, Mound City, formerly of Fairfax, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at a Fairfax hospital.
Mrs. Campbell was employed as an insurance agent and at the Fairfax Hospital.
Born May 18, 1909, in the state of Georgia, she was reared in Rock Port, Mo., and was a graduate of Rock Port High School.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Sorosis, all of Fairfax.
On Dec. 18, 1930, she married Archie Campbell. He died in 1981.
Mrs. Campbell also was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Sue Mullins; a sister, Grace Peters; and three brothers, Angus, Leon and Ernest Mullins.
Surviving: a son, Lawrence L., Fairfax; a sister, Mary Warnstaff, Hamburg, Iowa.

Omer D. Crane

NEW HAMPTON, Mo. - Omer D. Crane, 91, New Hampton, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at an area health-care center.
Mr. Crane, a farmer and carpenter, served with the Army and Marines during peacetime.
Born June 25, 1907, in Gentry County, Mo., he was a member of the New Hampton Christian Church.
On Sept. 14, 1930, he married Zella Ebersole. She survives of the home.
Mr. Crane was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Junea M.; a brother, Raymond L.; and a sister, Blondena Butler.

Mildred M. (Alford) Davis, 89, St. Joseph, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at the home of her daughter, Jenny Jansen, in Savannah, Mo.
Mrs. Davis was employed at Kresge's Dime Store, St. Joseph, until her retirement. She was a member of the Christian faith.
Born Aug. 4, 1909, in St. Joseph, she lived there and in Burlington, Kan., for several years. She returned to St. Joseph in 1963.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie M. Davis, in 1987; her parents, Robert W. and Carrie B. Alford; and a brother, Fremont Alford.
Additional survivors: four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Elizabeth M. Hart

GRANT CITY, Mo. - Elizabeth Marguerite (Morin) Hart, 90, Grant City, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at a health-care center in Albany, Mo.
Mrs. Hart was a homemaker, and also worked at the Pixie Shop in Grant City for three years.
Born Aug. 20, 1908, in Worth County, Mo., she lived on a farm in Sheridan, Mo., until moving to Grant City in 1970.
Mrs. Hart was a member of the United Methodist Church, 20th Century Club and Friendship Club, all of Sheridan.
On Feb. 12, 1927, she married E. Loren Hart. He died in 1974.
Mrs. Hart also was preceded in death by a son, Rodney; her parents, John and Persis Morin; two brothers, Paul and Donald Morin; two sisters, Marie Burns and Audrey Meek; and two grandchildren.
Surviving: two sons, Keith, Sheridan, and Eldon, Columbia, Md.; a daughter, Norma Jackson, Allendale, Mo.; a sister, Aloha Carroll, Grant City; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
