TRENTON, Mo. -- Lloyd Maxwell Anderson, 86, Trenton, died Friday, April 2, 1999, at a Trenton hospital.
Mr. Anderson worked as a farm laborer. He moved to Trenton in 1986.
Born Oct. 5, 1912, east of Ravanna, Mo., he attended school in Ravanna.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Nellie; and a brother, Don F.
Surviving: a brother, Herbert, Burleson, Texas.
Graveside service and burial: 10 a.m. today, Ravanna Cemetery. Visitation: 8 to 10 a.m. today, Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel, Princeton, Mo.

Burl F. Crowder
1922-1999
SPICKARD, Mo. -- Burl F. Crowder, 77, Spickard, died Monday, April 5, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Crowder was a farmer and rural mail carrier for more than 31 years. He served with the Navy during World War II.
Born Jan. 21, 1922, in Spickard, he was a graduate of Spickard High School and a lifelong Spickard resident.
Mr. Crowder was a member of the Spickard Christian Church, where he served as an elder for several years.
On April 2, 1944, he married Norma L. Hickman in Elwood, Kan. She survives of the home.
Mr. Crowder was preceded in death by a son, Randall; his parents, John F. and Minta M.; and a sister, Helen Cox.
Additional survivors: a daughter, Linda Ferguson, Spickard; a son, Franklin, Rosendale, Mo.; a brother, Richard M., St. Joseph; a sister, Wilma Kemp, Kirksville, Mo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Spickard Christian Church. Burial: South Evans Cemetery, southeast of Spickard. Family visitation: 7 to 8 tonight, Wise & Slater Funeral Chapel, Spickard. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Spickard Christian Church building fund.

Theresa M. Frankovich
1895-1999
SAVANNAH, Mo. -- Theresa M. Frankovich, 104, Savannah, formerly of Wathena, Kan. died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at a Savannah health-care center.
Born Jan. 12, 1895, in Wathena, she lived on a farm homesteaded by her parents, as immigrants from Yugoslavia, before moving to Highland, Kan., in 1966.
Ms. Frankovich was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church of Troy, Kan., where she was a member of the St. Ann's Altar Society.
Ms. Frankovich was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Frankovich, four brothers, John in infancy, Albert, Victor, and Benedict; and two sisters, Anna Sheahon and Matilda Malson.
Surviving: several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wathena. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wathena. Evening Prayer For the Dead: 7 tonight, with short visitation and Rosary to follow at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wathena. Visitation: after 9 a.m. today at Harmon Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena.

Vada M. Hopper
1912-1999
HIAWATHA, Kan. -- Vada M. Hopper, 86, Hiawatha, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at a Topeka, Kan., hospital.
Mrs. Hopper, a homemaker, worked several years for the Oak Ridge Nursing Home, Hiawatha.
Born June 25, 1912, in Falls City, Neb., she was a graduate of Hiawatha High School.
She married Leslie H. Hopper in Hiawatha. He died in 1968.
She also was preceded in death by her son, Robert; and a sister, Velma Spangler.
Surviving: two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Graveside service and burial: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Mount Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha. Visitation: after 9 a.m. today, Framke Casselman Meek Funeral Home, Hiawatha, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight.

Velma F. Keefhaver
1917-1999
KING CITY, Mo. -- Velma F. (Kemp) Keefhaver, King City, 82, died Monday, April 5, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Born March 31, 1917, northwest of King City, Mrs. Keefhaver was a graduate of King City High School.
She lived in Kansas City, Kan., and Edgerton, Mo., but spent most of her life in the King City area.
Mrs. Keefhaver was a member of Star Chapel United Methodist Church, Empire Prairie, Mo., and Prairie Flower Community Club, King City.
On March 18, 1978, she married Raymond W. Keefhaver. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Keefhaver was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon Evans, in 1957; her parents, Joseph and Nellie F. Kemp; and three brothers, Dale, Virgil and Curtis Kemp.
Additional survivors: a daughter, Marilyn J. Miller, Kansas City; a son, Stanley G. Evans, Lathrop, Mo.; two stepsons, Bryan K., Edgerton, and Charles A., Rushville, Mo.; four brothers, George Kemp, Avenue City, Mo., Wayne Kemp, Wichita, Kan., and Ray and John Kemp, both of King City; two sisters, Ruby Stoker, Shawnee Mission, Kan., and Marthalene Stoker, Lee's Summit, Mo.; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, Gibson Funeral Home, King City. Burial: King City Cemetery. Family visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to the Island City Christian Church, in care of the funeral home.

Mary M. Kurtz
1918-1999
HORTON, Kan. -- Mary Margaret Kurtz, 80, Horton, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at a Horton hospital.
Mrs. Kurtz, a homemaker, worked in Topeka, Kan., for the Atchison, Kan., Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad. She also was employed as a clerk for Gockels Furniture Store, Horton.
Born Oct. 2, 1918, in Powhattan, Kan., she was a graduate of Powhattan High School.
Mrs. Kurtz was a member of United Methodist Church, Horton.
On Nov. 2, 1946, she married Harold E. Kurtz in Powhattan. He survives of the home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Juanita Mellenbruch; a brother, Norman Mellenbruch; and her grandparents, who raised her, James W. and Margaret Sprague.
Additional survivors: two daughters, Connie Rodvelt, Hiawatha, Kan., and Marcia Williams, Horton; two half brothers, Gary Mellenbruch, Tierra Verde, Fla., and Donald Mellenbruch, Kansas City, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, United Methodist Church, Horton. Burial: Powhattan Cemetery. Visitation: 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today, Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary, Horton. Family visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the church.

David F. Martin
1915-1999
David F. Martin, 84, St. Joseph, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Martin was employed as a warehouseman for Sears & Roebuck Co. and as a custodian at Altec, both of St. Joseph. He also served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War.
Born March 29, 1915, in Rochester, Mo., he attended school in Rochester.
Mr. Martin was a member of Long Branch Christian Church and Sears Retirees Club, St. Joseph.
On March 11, 1941, he married Wilma Ritter. She died in 1988.
Mr. Martin also was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Minnie Martin; and three brothers, Edgar E., John and Herbert.
Surviving: a son, Roger, St. Joseph; a daughter, Lynn Nims, Nevada, Mo.; two brothers, Warren and Charles, both of Kansas City; three sisters, Bernice Farrell, Springfield, Mo., Twila Christensen, Denver, Colo., and Bessie Beckham, Kansas City; and four grandchildren.
Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph. Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation: after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight. Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.

Faye I. Brown
1906-1999
Faye I. (Kunkle) Brown, 92, St. Joseph, died Monday, April 5, 1999, at a St. Joseph health-care center.
Mrs. Brown, born in Atchison, Kan., on Oct. 14, 1906, lived most of her life in St. Joseph.
She was a former homemaker and a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, in 1980; three sons, Clifford Jr., Harold and Ralph; her parents, John and Sarah Kunkle; five brothers, Clarence, Roy, Johnny, Alonzo and Will Kunkle; and five sisters, Ada Remsburg, Edith Blaylock, Hazel Gardener, Ethel Stanton and Mabel Johnson.
Surviving: a daughter, Geraldine Stevenson, St. Joseph; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, Clark-Sampson Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Burial: Mount Auburn Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation: after p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight.

Pat E.H. Bullock
1905-1999
FRANKFORT, Kan. -- Pat Emmett H. Bullock, 94, Frankfort, formerly of Vermillion, Kan., died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at a health-care center in Frankfort.
Mr. Bullock lived and farmed most of his life in the Vermillion area. He also was a school bus driver in Frankfort.
Born in Vliets, Kan., on Jan. 4, 1905, he was a member of the Methodist Church in Vermillion and Lions Club of Frankfort. He also coached youth baseball in Frankfort.
On April 17, 1926, he married Fleta F. Roberts. She died in 1966. Then on Oct. 14, 1967, he married Hilma Griffiths. She died in 1998.
Mr. Bullock also was preceded in death by a son, Gary E.; his parents, Frank and Laura; three brothers, Merrill, Earl and Leroy; a sister, Alta; and a stepgrandchild.
Surviving: a daughter, Dorothy Huerter, Topeka, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Brower, Topeka; two stepsons, Don Griffiths, Holton, Kan., and Bob Griffiths, Fremont, Neb.; six grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 12 step great-grandchildren.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, United Methodist Church, Vermillion. Burial: Vermillion Cemetery. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Padden Mortuary, Frankfort. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Church in Vermillion.

Jackson D. Clark
1922-1999
Jackson D. Clark, 76, St. Joseph, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital.
For 37 years, Mr. Clark worked for the Burlington-Northern Railroad until retiring in 1983. He also farmed in Easton, Mo.
Born in Easton on Oct. 24, 1922, he lived in St. Joseph for all of his life.
During World War II, Mr. Clark served in the Army as a ranger and participated in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, Mo., where he was an elder; Saxton Lodge No. 508, A.F.&A.M.;, of which he was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason; and board member of the Pacesetter Credit Union.
On Jan. 13, 1947, he married Maxine Huber in St. Joseph. She survives of the home.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Bertha V.; and a sister, Venice Kable.
Additional survivors: two sons, Don L., St. Joseph, and Robert E., Atlanta; a daughter, Jacklyn Griffith, Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Bill and Norman, both of Easton; and seven grandchildren.
Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph. Burial: Blakeley Cemetery, San Antonio. Visitation: after noon today at the chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight.

Shirley L. Eiman
1934-1999
FORT COLLINS, Colo. --Shirley L. (Kieser) Eiman, 64, Fort Collins, formerly of St. Joseph, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in Fort Collins.
Mrs. Eiman, a homemaker, was born in Cosby, Mo., on May 30, 1934, and lived in St. Joseph, where she was graduated from Central High School. She was a resident of Fort Collins since 1997.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and active in the Keenager group at the Phillips United Methodist Church and a bowling league, both in Lakewood, Colo.
On Jan. 12, 1957, she married William Eiman in St. Joseph. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Eiman was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Iva Kieser.
Additional survivors: a son, Steve, Pueblo West, Colo.; two daughters, Susan Stroh, Fort Collins, and Brenda Volgamore, Bennett, Colo.; a brother, John Kieser, Maryville, Mo.; a sister, Joyce Hansen, St. Joseph; and 10 grandchildren.
Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, First United Methodist Church, Fort Collins. Entombment: Resthaven Memory Gardens, Fort Collins. Family visitation: 6 to 8 tonight at the Allnutt Funeral Service, Drake Road Chapel, Fort Collins. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 650 West Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO.

Leota P. Holley
1909-1999
BETHANY, Mo. -- Leota Pearl Holley, 89, Bethany, died Monday, April 5, 1999, at a Bethany health-care center.
Born on Aug. 20, 1909, in Gentry County, Mo., Miss Holley attended school in Harrison County, Mo. and college in Ames, Iowa. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eliza Holley; three sisters, Mina Premer, Opal Overton and Della Prindle; and nine brothers, Lee, Wilbur, Claude, Arch, Troy, Rufus, Ben, Lawrence and Marvin Holley.
Surviving: a sister, Helen Courter, Bethany.
Graveside service and burial: 2 p.m. today, Coffey, Mo., Cemetery. Family visitation: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. today at the Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Glenn C. Hulett
1928-1999
TUMWATER, Wash. -- Glenn Clifton Hulett, 71, Tumwater, formerly of Pattonsburg, Mo., died Monday, March 22, 1999, at a health-care center in Olympia, Wash.
Mr. Hulett was employed by the United States Government for 37 years until retiring in 1988.
Born southwest of McFall, Mo., on Feb. 25, 1928, he moved to Pattonsburg in 1930 and the Olympia area in 1955. He was a graduate of the Pattonsburg high school and served in the Army.
He married Loretta Troutman. She survives in Tumwater.
Mr. Hulett was preceded in death by a daughter, Heida; his parents, George and Dorothy; three brothers, Detro, Jim and Frankie L.; and six sisters, Edna Russell, Ruth Steele, Hazel Johns, and Helen M., Norma K. and Peggy J. Hulett.
Additional survivors: two sons, Randy, Issaquah, Wash., and Matthew, Enterprise, Ore.; a daughter, Janine Stamper, San Francisco; three brothers, Chester, Pattonsburg, Kenneth, La Cygne, Kan., and Eugene, Bethany, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
The burial service was held Friday, March 26, at the Olympia Memorial Gardens in Tumwater. Memorials may be made to the Mother Providence St. Peter Foundation, 418 Lilley Road northeast, Olympia, WA 98506.
