Marie A. Hull
Marie A. Hull, 74, St. Joseph, died Monday, April 5, 1999, at her residence.
Miss Hull was a certified nurse's aide at the Church Street Manor for 26 years until retiring in 1992.
Born in St. Joseph on April 10, 1924, she was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph. She was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church.
Miss Hull was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred A. and Hazel Hull; two brothers, Everett and Harold Hull; and a sister, Lorndeen Hull.
Surviving: a son, LeRoy Davis, St. Joseph; a brother, Hobert Hull, St. Joseph; and three stepgrandchildren.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Friday, Calvary Pentecostal Church, St. Joseph. The body has been cremated. There will be no visitation. Arrangements: Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Pentecostal Church, St. Joseph.
Louise C. Magers
1919-1999
Louise C. (Bauer) Magers, 80, St. Joseph, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at her home.
Mrs. Magers, a homemaker, also worked at the former Hotel Robidoux before her marriage. Later she worked for the former Big Smith clothing manufacturer.
Born in Brinktown, Mo., on Feb. 19, 1919, she lived most of her life in St. Joseph. She was a graduate of the Brinktown high school.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Cathedral, St. Joseph, where she was active in St. Ann's Altar Society and Ladies of Charity.
On June 13, 1953, she married Samuel G. Magers in St. Joseph. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Magers was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Catherine Bauer; and a sister, Gertrude Lischwe.
Additional survivors: a son, James L., St. Joseph; a daughter, Judith Magers Ritter, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; a brother, Charles Bauer, St. Joseph; three sisters, Rita Kovarik, St. Louis, Kathy Werr, Crystal, Minn., and Virginia Kleffner, Seattle; and a grandchild.

Jasper Maxwell

KANSAS CITY -- Jasper Maxwell, 73, Kansas City, formerly of Brimson, Mo., died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at a Kansas City hospital.
Mr. Maxwell was employed by Mid-Western Builders in Kansas City.
Born on June 18, 1925, near Brimson, he was a graduate of the Spickard Mo., high school and served in the Army during World War II.
On March 17, 1966, he married Gladys Alford. They have lived in Kansas City for 45 years. She survives of the home.
Mr. Maxwell was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alma.

Thomas Mzhickteno
1946-1999
HORTON, Kan. -- Thomas "Mick" Mzhickteno, 52, Horton, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at his residence.
Mr. Mzhickteno was a vehicle mechanic for 17 years and worked for the Kickapoo Tribe for 15 years.
Born on Dec. 22, 1946, in Horton, he was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe and Native American Church.
On March 21, 1978, he married Alana J. Aull in Miami, Okla. She died in 1994. Then on Sept. 9, 1998, he married Bendy Warren in Horton. She survives of the home.
Mr. Mzhickteno also was preceded in death his parents, John and Stella.
Additional survivors: three daughters, Helen Mzhickteno, Pryor Okla., and Tanya and Pam Mzhickteno, both of the home; an adopted daughter, Tammy Moore of the home; two sons, Preston Warren, Ogden, Utah, and Kody Sparks of the home; three sisters, Deanna Pewamo, Horton, Janis Levier, Mayetta, Kan., and Gladys Williams, Wartburg, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

H. Junior Olsen
1926-1999
ALTAMONT, Mo. -- H. Junior Olsen, 72, Altamont, formerly of Winston, Mo., died Monday, April 5, 1999, at the Cameron, Mo., hospital.
Mr. Olsen, a farmer, was born in Winston on April 14, 1926, and was a lifelong resident of the Winston area. He was a resident of Altamont for 37 years.
He graduated from the Winston high school and attended a technical school. During the Korean War, Mr. Olsen served in the Army. He was a member of the Methodist faith and a former member of the Northwest Missouri Antique Car and Tractor Association, of which he was a past director.
On June 20, 1954, he married M. Virginia Lollar in Winston. She survives of the home.
Mr. Olsen was preceded in death by a son, Harry K.; his parents, Henry S. and Nora; and two brothers, Lloyd and Don.
Additional survivors: two daughters, Anna Marie Kirk, Ravenwood, Mo., and Jacquelyn K. Hatsell, Arlington, Texas; a brother, G.H., Winston; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Erma V. Rowlett

Erma V. (McPike) Rowlett, 85, St. Joseph, formerly of Maryville, Mo., died Monday, April 5, 1999, at a health-care center in St. Joseph.
Mrs. Rowlett, born on Dec. 1, 1913, in Maitland, Mo., also lived in Skidmore, Mo., and Maryville.
A homemaker, she attended the Maitland country school and Belleview country school near Mound City, Mo.
Mrs. Rowlett was a member of the United Methodist Church, Maitland; and Order of the Eastern Star, of which she was a past district deputy grand matron.
On Sept. 26, 1930, she married Lester Rowlett in Troy, Kan. He died in 1989.
Mrs. Rowlett also was preceded in death by a son, Jack; her parents, William H. and Malinda E. McPike; three brothers, Cecil, Kenneth and Ivan McPike; four sisters, Flossie, Clemma, Jessie and Betty; and a stepgrandchild.
Surviving: a son, Ron, Maryville; a niece, Rebecca Tracy, Lee's Summit, Mo., who was reared in the home; four grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 17 step great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren.
Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, United Methodist Church, Maitland. The body will be cremated after the service. Private family inurnment: at a later date. Family visitation: 7 to 9 tonight at the Johnson Funeral Home, Maitland.
Gene Barnhouse

BLYTHEDALE, Mo. -- Gene Barnhouse, 62, Blythedale, died Thursday, April 8, 1999.
Mr. Barnhouse, a truck driver, was born in Hatfield, Mo., on May 25, 1936.
On Nov. 2, 1954, he married Alice J. Siddens. She survives of the home.
Mr. Barnhouse was preceded in death by his parents, Hank Barnhouse and Gladis M. Barnhouse Mosbarger; and a grandchild.
Additional survivors: two sons, Kirk and Kenny, both of Blythedale; two sisters, Glenda Stephenson, Grant City, Mo., and Janet Ury, Blythedale; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Clyde Wesley Boyer, 73, St. Joseph, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at a St. Joseph health-care center.
Mr. Boyer had been a truck driver for several years before joining the Marine Corps.
Born in Wathena, Kan., on Sept. 23, 1925, he had lived in Elwood, Kan., for most of his life until moving to St. Joseph in 1993.
Mr. Boyer was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen; and two brothers, Albert and Bryce.

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Alliene Mae (McGee) Brock, 71, Maryville, died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at a Maryville hospital.
Mrs. Brock was born in Walnut Ridge, Ark., on May 4, 1927. She graduated from Walnut Ridge High School and Southern Baptist College.
She had lived in Maryville for the past five years.
Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her parents, Jim D. and Verna McGee; a brother, Harold D. McGee; and a sister, Glenna A. Rowell.

Mary (Eggleston) Campbell, 91, St. Joseph, died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at a health center in Kansas City.
Born in St. Joseph on Feb. 4, 1908, Mrs. Campbell was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. James Catholic Church, St. Joseph, where she was active in the Altar Society.
Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents, Louis and Anna Eggleston; three brothers, Louis, Grant and Joseph; and a sister, Myrtle.
Surviving: a daughter, Joan Olson, Kansas City; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Dorothy A. Derks

STANBERRY, Mo. -- Dorothy Anna (Wade) Eiberger Derks, 88, Stanberry, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at a health-care center in Stanberry.
Mrs. Derks, a former homemaker, also had taught at the Ligget School in Gentry County, Mo., and had been a dental assistant in Stanberry.
Born in Granger, Mo., on Oct. 3, 1912, she had lived most of her life in the Stanberry area. She graduated from the Stanberry high school and earned a teaching degree from Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville. Mo.
Mrs. Derks was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, where she was active in St. Ann's Altar Society; and Sunshine Club, all of Stanberry.
She married Leo Eiberger. They lived on a farm west of Stanberry. He died in 1958.
Then she married Lucien Derks. He also died.
Mrs. Derks also was preceded in death by an infant son, Francis; her parents; a brother, Willis Wade; and a sister, Lenora Griffin.
Surviving: two sons, John Eiberger, Maryville, and Kenneth Eiberger, Stanberry; a daughter, Lois Rooney, Prairie Village, Kan.; a brother, Woodrow Wade, Wichita, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

William R. Dulle

HAMILTON, Mo. -- William Robert Dulle, 72, Hamilton, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at a Liberty, Mo., hospital.
Mr. Dulle was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Kansas City, Kan., where he lived most of his life. He had lived in Hamilton the past 14 years.
He worked as a toll collector for the Kansas Turnpike in Kansas for 22 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Hamilton. He also was a member of the OATS Bus Committee and volunteer for the Hamilton Senior Citizen Center.
On Aug. 4, 1956, he married June R. Kelley in Kansas City, Mo. She survives of the home.
Mr. Dulle was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mathilda; three sisters, Katherine Daly, Mary DeGeorge and Ann Raleighley; and a brother, John.
Additional survivors: two sons, Robert J., Kansas City, Kan., and Mark A., Roeland Park, Kan.; a daughter, Mary S. Culey, Kansas City; a brother, Henry, Hamilton; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

John N. Egeland
1943-1999
FAIRFAX, Mo. -- John N. Egeland, 55, Fairfax, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Mr. Egeland had formerly owned and operated the J.M. & N. Machine Shop in Fairfax. He was working as a substitute rural letter carrier in the Fairfax area at the time of his death.
Born in Eureka, S.D., on June 3, 1943, he had lived in Rapid City, S.D.; Auburn, Neb., and Fairfax since 1973. He was a graduate of the Eureka high school.
Mr. Egeland was a member of the Lion Lutheran Church in Eureka and attended the Fairfax United Methodist Church.
In August of 1962, he married Marlene Cundall. She died in 1987.
Mr. Egeland also was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Adina.
Surviving: a daughter, Nancy Soverns, Shawnee Mission, Kan.; two sisters, Elisabeth Hovland, Lincoln, Neb., and Nancy Bernar, Canove, Italy; his fiance, Rose Adamson, Fairfax; and a grandchild.
The funeral service was held Saturday, April 3, at the United Methodist Church, Fairfax. Burial was in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Fairfax. Arrangements were by the Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax.
