Reuben Dan Anderson, age 86, of Brunswick, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 10, 2002 at the Brunswick Nursing Home, Brunswick, Missouri. He was born May 22, 1916 in Triplett, Missouri the son of Dan and Margaret Strothers Anderson. He attended Brunswick schools. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II. He was a retired Recreational Equipment Production worker. Reuben was a member of the First Baptist Brunswick Missionary. on April 18, 1953 he married Anna Ruth Banks in Brunswick, Missouri. She survives at the home. Other survivors include two sons, Sherman Anderson, Columbia, Missouri, James Reuben Anderson, State of Iowa; three daughters, Elizabeth Martin and her husband, Elroy, Glasgow, Missouri,Valerie Anderson, Boonville, Missouri, Carolyn Ellington and her husband, Marvin, Brunswick, Missouri; one cousin, Josephine Blanton; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, one brother, and one sister. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at the Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, Missouri with Reverend Donald White officiating. Burial will be in the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas. Visitation will be from 9-10:00 Wednesday before the service. The family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church, Brunswick, Missouri. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 207 W Broadway, Brunswick MO 65236.

Minnie Louise Dye Scott, age 83, of Tina, Missouri, formerly of Columbia, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at the Carrollton Nursing Center, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born April 15, 1919 at Hale, Missouri the daughter of Marritt and Bertha Lewis Dye. She attended school in Hale, Missouri. She was a housewife and mother.
On June 10, 1953 she married Beal Scott in Chinok, Montana. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1978.
She is survived by three sons; Carl Edward Ray and wife, Pat, Tina, Missouri, Charles M. Ray, Marshall, Missouri, Beal Edward Scott and wife, Deidra, Marshall, Missouri; two brothers, Frank Dye, Bosworth, Missouri, Donald Dye, Waco, Texas; one sister, Ethel Endicott, State of Kansas; nine grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Merle A. and Chester L. Ray; three sisters, Florence Green, Lucille Sampsel, Ruby Donoho; two brothers, Carl and Ira Dye.
Mrs. Scott is to be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.

Gertrude Josephine Denker Galbrecht, age 90, of Liberty, Missouri, formerly of Bosworth, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at Ashton Court Nursing Home, Liberty, Missouri.
She was born August 8, 1912 at Yakima, Washington, the daughter of Joe and Polly Snider Denker. She attended Hoosier School near Ludlow, Missouri; and schools in Franklin, Battsville and Hale High School. On March 16, 1929 she married Henry Galbrecht who preceded her in death on November 8, 1985. She lived in Bosworth, Missouri since 1929 where she farmed with her husband and owned and operated a restaurant from 1951 to 1973. She was a member of the Bosworth Christian Church; and O.E.S. at Hale, Missouri.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George (Henrietta Marie) Cooper, Liberty, Missouri, Mrs. Elmer (Catherine Louise) O'Neil, Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, five sisters; and one great grandson.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2002 at the Gibson Funeral Home, Bosworth, Missouri with Reverend Robert George officiating. Burial was in Big Creek Cemetery, Bosworth, Missouri.
Visitation was from 1-1:50 p.m., before the service.

Kevan Marlene Gable Harding, age 51, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
She was born July 5, 1951 at Ponca City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Richard and Bonnie Melton Gable. She graduated from Norwich High School. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Carrollton, Missouri. She was employed as a fabric cutter with Hi-Style Manufacturing, Carrollton, Missouri.
She married Spencer Harding, Jr. in Norwich, Kansas on October 25, 1969. He survives at the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Spencer Harding, III, Carrollton, Missouri, Vincent Harding, Carrollton, Missouri; one daughter, Heidi Reeves, Abilene, Kansas; her mother, Bonnie Gable, Norwich, Kansas; one sister, Kerry Lee Oliver, Norwich, Kansas; two grandsons, Jared Madison and Jarred Spencer Harding; six granddaughters, Bobbie Madison, Samantha Harding, Alexandra Harding, Sydney Harding, Raelynn Reeves and Jauni Ann Reeves.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 30, 2002 at Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri with David Brockmeier officiating. Visitation will be from 9-9:45 a.m. before the service at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall or Carrollton Public Library in memory of Mrs. Harding. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S Main, Carrollton MO 64633.

Mary Ellen Thomas Winn, age 85, of Independence, Missouri, passed away at her home.
She was born December 3, 1916 in Carroll County, Missouri the daughter of Albert L. and Sarah Louree Calvert Thomas. She attended schools in Bosworth, Missouri and graduated from Carrollton High School. In 1942 she married Virgil L. Winn. He preceded her in death November 9, 1980. They owned and operated a restaurant in Wellington, Missouri; and in later years, she was employed with the Ponderosa Restaurant in Independence, Missouri. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two brothers, Donald Thomas, Carrollton, Missouri; George Thomas, Turlock, California; two sisters, Evelyn Winn, Hagerstown, Maryland, and Ethel McCoy, Hamilton, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Johnny Thomas, Lewis Thomas, Ernest Thomas, Charles Thomas, Jack Thomas and Joe Thomas.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at Pleasant Park Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Jeff Maxwell officiating. She will lie in state Tuesday morning.

Lavern L. Morfeld, age 75, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri.
He was born July 14, 1927 in Howells, Nebraska, the son of John and Lena Shanle Morfeld. He attended Stanton County schools. He married Katherine Teply on January 4, 1949 in Leigh, Nebraska. She survives at the home.
Mr. Morfeld was employed as a John Deere Service Manager for Joe L. Vacin in Clarkson, Nebraska from 1946 to 1956. In 1956 he moved to Carrollton, Missouri and was a Service Manager for Heins Implement Company until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carrollton, Missouri.
He is also survived by three daughters, Rose Mary VanDeventer, Columbia, Missouri; Alison Cockerill and husband, Ed, Columbus, Nebraska; Carol Lou Papousek and husband, Jim, Scribner, Nebraska; three brothers, Frank Morfeld, Dodge, Nebraska, John Morfeld, Carroll, Iowa, Gilbert Morfeld, Leigh, Nebraska; one sister, Mrs. Arlene Spale and husband, Frank, Lincoln, Nebraska; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Barbara; one brother, one sister, two nephews, one niece and one great nephew.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2002 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Ken Criqui officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2002 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with a Rosary at 8:00.
The family suggests contributions to Monsignor Summers' Scholarship Fund or family's choice in memory of Mr. Morfeld. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S Main, Carrollton MO 64633.

Marvin Hedrick Williams, age 85, of Carrollton, Missouri; and formerly of the Hardin area, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2002 at Carroll House, Carrollton, Missouri.
Marvin was born February 1, 1917, near Henrietta, Missouri to Victor and Nora Belle Hedrick Williams. He was married to Ruth Farmer on January 8, 1938. She survives at the home. To this union were born two daughters, Shirley Anne Williams of Columbia, Missouri and Rose Sharon Williams of Carrollton, Missouri.
Other survivors include one brother, George Williams and wife, Marion, Plymouth, New Hampshire; two sisters, Mary Frances Stoutimore, Windsor, Missouri, Gladys (Judy) Turnage and husband, Loren, Richmond, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Betty Williams, Leavenworth, Kansas; one foster brother, Randolph Fales, Euporia, Mississippi; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Houston Williams and a sister, Faye Endsley.
For more than forty years, Marvin invested his life working in the feed, grain and fertilizer business. These places of employment include: Bartlett and Company, Stet Feeders Supply, Hales and Hunter Feed & Grain; and Ray-Carroll Grain Growers, retiring at the age of 84.
He was a life-long member of the Baptist Church having served as a deacon for over 60 years at the Morton Baptist Church, Hardin Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Carrollton. He held many positions of leadership including Sunday School Director and Nursery Worker.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2002 at the First Baptist Church, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Jeff Maxwell and Reverend Walter Cox officiating. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, Missouri.
Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2002 at the Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Charles Edward Lybarger, age 72, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Friday, September 6, 2002 at his home.
He was born October 4, 1929 in Wakenda, Missouri the son of Charles and Rose McCombs Lybarger. He attended Wakenda Grade Schools and graduated from Wakenda High School. He was a farmer and lived in Carroll County all his life. He was a township trustee for approximately 35 years; and Presiding Carroll County Commissioner for six years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carrollton, Missouri; and the Knights of Columbus.
On September 10, 1949, he married Anna Jean Atherton at St. Mary's parsonage in Carrollton, Missouri. She survives at the home.
Charles is also survived by one son, David Lybarger, Carrollton, Missouri; one daughter, Nancy Roettger, Minneapolis, Minnesota; one sister, Joanne Hoffman, State of California; and three grandsons.
Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2002 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Ken Criqui officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation was from 7 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2002 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Rosary at 8:00.

Evelyn L. Key, age 84, passed away September 4, 2002 at the Pikes Peak Hospice Residence.
She was born November 15, 1917 in Carroll County, Missouri, the daughter of S. B. Reid and Alcy Tomlin Reid. She was married October 1, 1938 to Norman Key.
She is survived by her husband Norman, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, James H. Key of Kansas City, Missouri; Randall R. Key and wife, Rose, of Boulder, Colorado; one sister, Dorris Barnett of Emporia, Kansas; three grandchildren, Peter C. Key of Boulder, Colorado, Sonya Henriksen and husband, Josh, of Ft. Collins, Colorado; and Krissi Key of Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Jonathan J. Key.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, music and the mountains.
She graduated from Tina High School class of 1935.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Colorado Springs CO 80903. They may be also be mailed to or left at Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2002 at Evergreen Funeral Home, Fountain at Union in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Graveside services are to follow Saturday, September 21, 2002 at 2:00 p.m., at the Coloma Cemetery in Carroll County, Missouri.

Colleen Fay Wilson, age 63, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.
Colleen was born October 10, 1938 at Columbus, Kansas the daughter of Chester E. and Ester Marie McPherson Shanks. She graduated from Pittsburg State University and taught school in Bosworth, Missouri from 1960 to 1993. She was a resident of Bosworth until 1996. She also taught school two years at Tina-Avalon School and one year at Wakenda School. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri and the Missouri Retired Teachers Association.
On September 14, 1962 she married Francis Pinney in Carrollton, Missouri. She married Charles Cliff Wilson July 13, 1986 in Carrollton, Missouri. He survives at the home.
Other survivors include one son, John C. F. Wilson, Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Donna Pinney, Brunswick, Missouri, Faye Ann Myers, Minneapolis, Minnesota; one brother, Eugene Shanks, Oswego, Kansas; three grandchildren, Lauren M. Skaar, Sebastian Roberto Myers and Carina Angelique Myers.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2002 at the Bosworth Christian Church, Bosworth, Missouri with Reverend Joe Barone officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2002 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.
The family suggests contributions to H.E.L.P. Services Cancer Fund; or the Bosworth or Carrollton Christian Churches in memory of Mrs. Wilson. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
