Edward "Pat" Hamilton, a 96 year old resident of Norborne, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 16, 2003 at North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
Pat was born October 24, 1906 in Utica, Missouri the son of Joseph and Martha Waters Hamilton.
On February 10, 1929 he married Mildred Foy. She preceded him in death on November 19, 2002. Pat was a life long resident of Carroll County and lived most of his life in Norborne, Missouri. He had worked for a shipyard; as a carpenter; for Lake City Arsenal and retired from the Railroad. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Norborne, Missouri.
He is survived by one son, Edward Lee Hamilton, Knob Noster, Missouri; four daughters, Bonnie Varnell, Independence, Missouri, Betty Barker, Independence, Missouri, Judy Atkinson, Woodlake, California and Glenda DePugh, St. Joseph, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; thirty- one great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Ragsdale, Norborne, Missouri.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Purcell, Russell, Jody, Jessie; four sisters, Ida Mae Poe, Edith Francis, Marjorie Brook, Bessie Ritzinger; one son Larry Wayne Hamilton; and one grandson, Ronald Hamilton.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at the First Baptist Church, Norborne, Missouri with Reverend M. R. Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.
The body will lie in state from 2-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Gibson Funeral Home, Norborne, Missouri.

Robert Terrill Link, age 72, of rural Bosworth, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2003 at Fitzgibbon Hospital, Marshall, Missouri.
He was born September 25, 1930 at Keytesville, Missouri, the son of Albert A. Sr., and Laura Bruemmer Link. He was a graduate of Brunswick High School, Brunswick, Missouri.
Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On April 7, 1953 he married Stephany D. Carr of Norborne, Missouri. He was a life long farmer and resident of Carroll County.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Rebecca Morrison and husband, Carl, Excelsior Springs, Missouri; a daughter, Roberta Morrison and husband, Kevin, Tucson, Arizona; a son, Randall Link and wife, Jennifer, Carrollton, Missouri; a daughter, Ramona Dobbins and husband, Travis, DeWitt, Missouri; grandchildren, Cole and Cassie Morrison, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Jessica Ybarra, Natalie Hust and Brett Morrison, Tucson, Arizona, Heather, Michael, Jesse and Robbie Link, Carrollton, Missouri, Ali and Abby Dobbins, DeWitt, Missouri; and one great grandchild on the way; five sisters, Genevieve Phillips, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Mary Jenkins, DeWitt, Missouri, Joan Reed, Exeter, Missouri, Dorothy Vandusen, Dawn, Missouri and Kathryn Martin, Excelsior Springs, Missouri; one brother, Albert Link, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Melvin A. Link.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 21, 2003 at Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, Missouri with Reverend Ken Randolph and Reverend Ken Prewitt officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri with Military services.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2003 at the funeral home.

Frances (Fran) Ruth Cowick, age 58, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born May 31, 1944 in Vandalia, Missouri the daughter of Francis and Dorothy Yarnel Muir. She attended Carrollton Schools.
On June 12, 1959 Fran was married to Tom Cowick in Carrollton, Missouri by Reverend Woodrow W. Fountain. He survives at the home. Fran was a house wife and mother. She had been employed by Fuller Marketing, Inc. as an assembly worker for six years.
She is also survived by three daughters and one son, Debra Lynn Bates and husband, Doug, Norborne, Missouri, Sherry Ivona Stevens and husband, Bruce, Carrollton, Missouri, Thomas Allan Cowick, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, Napoleon, Missouri, Pamela Parlee Serner and husband, Brian, Carrollton, Missouri; one brother and two sisters, Millie McKinney, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Larry Muir, Ocala, Florida, Jean Powers, Kingdom City, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Bradley Allan Bates, Tommy Lee Bates, Laresa Ruth Stevens and fianc� Michael Mayer, Scott Tyler Stevens, Thomas Allan Cowick III, Terance Jo (Joey) Cowick, Kayla Briann Serner, Kaitlyn Cheyenne Serner, Kamryn Parlee Serner; one great granddaughter, Ivona (Ivy) Rose Mayer, one step grandchild, Donald Levi Toms; and one step great grandchild, Kara Sue Toms.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents; and two grandchildren, Ralph Douglas Bates, Jr. and Curtis Wayne Bates.

Anna E. Tonnar, age 88, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born one of three triplet girls on June 6, 1914, in Carrollton, Missouri, to Michael Battes and Clara Augusta Pfister Tonnar. She attended Catholic Grade and High Schools, and Central Business College in Kansas City, Missouri. She worked in government Civil Service in Washington, D.C. Anna retired December 23, 1974 and moved back to Carrollton in 1975. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carrollton, Missouri. St. Mary's Altar Society.
She is survived by two sisters, Wilhelmena Macaluso and husband, Joe, New Orleans, Louisiana, Dolly Lock, Carrollton, Missouri, and thirty-one nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Garvey; three brothers, Joe, Leo and Bill Tonnar; and two sisters at birth.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2003 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Ken Criqui officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
There will be a Rosary at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Glenn Harold Ellis, age 92, was born December 27, 1910 in Carroll County, Missouri and died March 17, 2003 in Spokane, Washington.
He was married to Mary Clemons on August 26, 1932 and she preceded him in death in 1969. One daughter, Mrs. Glenna Marshall, of Spokane, Washington, was born to this union. In 1970, he married Alice Long who preceded him in death in 1997. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Thelma Gray. Mr. Ellis was a member of Church of Christ and for many years a part-time minister to several churches in Missouri and Kansas. He was also a member of International Photo Engravers Union Local 34 and held various offices in that union during his years of employment. He retired from Heisler Engraving Company in 1971. Following his retirement, he became a chaplain for correctional institutions in Arizona and Missouri. He served in this capacity until 1990. He lived most of his life in and around the Kansas City, Missouri area until serious illness necessitated his move to Spokane, Washington.
In addition to his daughter, he is survived by three grandchildren, Craig Marshall, Mrs. Robin Prowse, Curt Marshall; five great grandchildren, Masa Nakama, Mrs. Marcia Chalmers, Amanda Marshall, Morgan and Dylan Marshall and one niece, Mrs. Judith VanEgdom.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Curt Marshall officiating. Burial was in Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.

Eife Edwin (Ed) Reeves, age 83, of Stet, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2003, at the Research Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
He was born October 13, 1919 at Cowgill, Missouri; the son of Arthur Floyd and Ettie Mae O'Dell Reeves. He graduated from Stet High School in 1940.
Ed served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He owned and operated Reeve's Garage in Stet, MO from 1950 until 1996.
On June 28, 1941 Ed was married to Wanetta (Bonnie) Bales in Richmond, Missouri; she survives at the home.
He was a member of the Bethany Church of the Brethren near Stet where he served as a deacon for many years.
He also served as the Stet Fire Chief for several years.
Ed is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of the home; one son, Larry Edwin Reeves, Blue Springs, MO; one daughter, Sandria Shields, Carrollton, MO; six grandchildren, John T. Berning, Marshall, MO, Glenda Jean Carmack, Warrensburg, MO, Donna Faye Gandhi, Warrensburg, MO, Joy Rae Becker, Carrollton, MO, Sarah Virginia Putnam, Carrollton, MO, Timothy Robert Shields, Sedalia, MO; sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilbur Reeves, Hardin, MO and Robert Reeves, Excelsior Springs, MO; one sister, Wilma Ford, Stet, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Thelma Jane Wheat and Flossie McElwee; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2003, at the Bethany Church of the Brethren, Stet, Missouri, with Brother Al Sorrell officiating.
Burial with Flag Presentation by the Pence-Lovell-England Post # 1773 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars was in the Wakenda Cemetery, Hardin, Missouri.

Pamelia S. Cummings, age 88, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born May 27, 1914 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of A. C. and Katherine Rea Smith. She attended Carrollton Public Schools; schools in Gulfport, Alabama, Les Fourgeres, Lausanne, Switzerland and the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Pam married Robert J. Cummings in Carrollton, Missouri. He preceded her in death. She was an Elementary School Teacher and taught in Bogard and Carrollton, Missouri. She taught first grade twenty-five years at Adams and Root Schools in Carrollton. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri where she had served on the Board of Elders; a Life Member of the Carroll County Historical Society, Woman's Club of Carrollton; and had been a member of the Carrollton Oak Hill Cemetery Association Board. Survivors include two sons, John Cummings, Kansas City, Missouri and the Reverend Dr. Sudduth Rea Cummings, Jacksonville, Florida; one God Daughter, Laurie Staretz, Little Rock, Arkansas; and two nieces, Sandra Kipping, Triplett, Missouri, Pam Todd, Dallas, Texas.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2003 at the First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri with The Reverend Dr. Sudduth Rea Cummings and The Reverend Joe Barone officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.

Edna Marie Melville Boney, 75, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 28, 2003, at the Carrollton Nursing Center, Carrollton, MO .
Edna was born March 17, 1928 in Brunswick, Missouri; the daughter of Raymond and Hilda Iola Masters Melville.
She attended Brunswick Grade and High School and graduated from Chillicothe Business College.
Edna was employed as a secretary for the State Highway Department in Cheyenne, Wyoming for several years. She later worked for the Stephens College and the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri as a secretary for several years.
She was married to Floyd Boney in June of 1949; he preceded her in death on August 14, 1953.
Survivors include one daughter, Frances Florine Phillips, Hallsville, MO; one brother and sister- in-law, Ernest and Verna Melville, Norborne, MO; several cousins, one of whom, Blanche Kahler, Brunswick, MO, was raised in the home.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2003, at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, MO, with the Reverend Mike Koch officiating.

James Lee Wilson, age 69, of Keytesville, Missouri and formerly of Triplett, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2003 in Brunswick, Missouri. He was born on December 4, 1933 at Triplett, Missouri the son of Ernest and Georgia Fleetwood Wilson. He had been a member of the United States Navy in 1956. He had been a dozer operator at Green Quarries of Moberly, Missouri and was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by two daughters, Candy Whyte, Columbia, Missouri, Brenda Hoffmann, Phoenix, Arizona; two sons, Richard T. Wilson, Jasper, Georgia, Randy Wilson, Springfield, Missouri; one step-son, William Marple, Fitchburg, Massachusetts; two sisters, Erma Butler, Fair Play, Missouri, Laura White , Brunswick, Missouri; one brother, R. H. Wilson, Bosworth, Missouri; his friend and companion, Nina Grimsley, Keytesville, Missouri; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Lee Wilson, Jr.; and two brothers, Donald Rex Wilson and Richard Allen Wilson. Graveside services were held at the McCullough Cemetery, Triplett, Missouri with Reverend Lanny Lybarger officiating. Funeral arrangements were by the Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, Missouri.
Mildred Katherine Meadows, age 90, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born June 15, 1912 in Norborne, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Toles and Anna Kugler Meadows. She attended Rockingham Grade School. She worked at Lake City Arsenal five years and at Fenner Drug Store in Wellington, Missouri for twenty years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Carrollton, Missouri.
She is survived by several cousins
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marie Ethel Meadows on February 9, 1909.
She will lie in state Friday, April 4, 2003 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri with Pastor Eric Swyres officiating.
