Randy Lee Myrick, age 36, of Mendon, Missouri passed away Friday, December 10, 2004 as the result of an accident while he was working in El Paso, Texas. He was born on October 16, 1968 in Brookfield, Missouri the son of Carl and Nancy Martin Myrick. He graduated from Northwestern High School at Mendon, Missouri in 1987. Randy married Stephanie R. Henley on November 17, 1992 at Brookfield, Missouri. She survives him at the home. Randy was a truck drivere for the D & T Truck Transporting Company. He was a member of the Mendon Christian Church. He is also survived by two daughters, Seana Carey and Rebecca Myrick, both of the home; one son, C. J. Myrick, also of the home; his parents, Carl and Nancy Myrick, Mendon, Missouri; three sisters and their husbands, Patricia and Mike Simons, Rothville, Missouri, Debbie and Dennis Shalon, Knoxville, Iowa and Judy and Jeff Gray, Rothville, Missouri; his mothers and fathers-in-law, David and Doris Henley, Macon, Missouri and Jerry and Darlenne Young, Warrensburg, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Sarah Rhode, Brookfield, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Robert L. Newman, age 97, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Carroll House, Carrollton, Missouri.
He was born August 23, 1907 in Carrollton, Missouri, the son of Robert L. and Martha Tomlin Newman. He attended Reynolds Grade School and Carrollton High School.
On March 11, 1931, he married Zelma Austin in Carrollton, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 21, 1971. Robert was a member of the United Methodist Church of Carrollton. He had worked for Green Quarries, Bryant Restaurant, Lock Feed, Carrollton Livestock Auction and the Carrollton Township.
Robert is survived by one son, Bobby Newman and wife Marvella, Carrollton, Missouri, one grandson, Ronald, and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, twin boys, who passed away in infancy on October 5, 1942, one sister, Beulah Newman; and four brothers, Lon, Ord, John and Cal.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri. Burial will be in Carroll Memory Gardens in Carrollton.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Leeroy Cecil Elliott, age 71, of Wood Heights, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2004, at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
He was born June 28m, 1933 in Carrollton, Missouri, the son of Simm and Hattie J. Goosen Elliott. He attended Carrollton Schools and was in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
On April 13, 1957, he married Bonnie Coffey in Carrollton, Missouri. She survives at the home. He was employed with Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, Missouri.
In addition to his wife, Bonnie, Leeroy is also survived by three children, Karen Lynn and husband Dallas, Wood Heights, Missouri, Steven Elliott, Richmond, Missouri, and Christine Schroyer and husband Herb, Richmond, Missouri; two sisters, Wilehmeana Fecther and Margret Hedrick; four grandchildren, one step grandchild, one great grandchild and one step great grandchild.
Leeroy was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Jeff Maxwell officiating. Burial was in Gilead Cemetery. Military services were by Veterans of Foreign Wars Pence-Lovell-England Post #1773, Carrollton, Missouri.

Verlietta June Schenk, age 55, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 20, 2004 at Carroll House, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born September 26, 1949 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of French and Irmal Pennington Elliott. She graduated from Carrollton High School and received her LPN degree from Missouri Valley College, Marshall, Missouri. June attended the Southside Baptist Church in Carrollton and had been employed with Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton Nursing Center, Marshall Habilitation Center and Carroll House. She was a lifelong resident of Carrollton.
June is survived by two daughters, Carla Schenk, Carrollton, Missouri and Kim Sharp and husband Chris, Bogard, Missouri; her mother, Irmal, Carrollton, Missouri; one sister, Jan Goedeke and husband Randy, Carrollton, Missouri; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ilene and Jim Paul, Carrollton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Cortny Cooper, Richmond, Missouri and Alex Cooper, Bogard, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Ken Pruitt officiating. Burial was in Big Creek Cemetery, Bosworth, Missouri.
Visitation was from 6-7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Kathryn Marie Ward, age 93, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 24, 2004 at North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
She was born November 10, 1911, in Carroll County, Missouri, near Miami Station, the daughter of Richard Thomas and Anna Clara Thies Van Deventer. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1929.
On April 11, 1936, she married Herbert A. Ward, Sr. in Keytesville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1963. Kathryn was Postmaster of the DeWitt Post Office and retired in 1978. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri, Royal Neighbors of America, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, National League of Postmasters and the DeWitt Community Betterment Club.
Kathryn is survived by three children; Thomas A. Ward, Carrollton, Missouri, Herbert A. Ward, Jr., and wife Linda, Taneyville, Missouri, Penelope S. Cox and husband Michael, Odessa, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Lloyd Walker, El Monte, California, Ethel Mae Ammon, Sacramento, California; two half-sisters, Betty R. Nichols, Carrollton, Missouri, Annet Johnson, Marshall, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Thomas A., Jr., Anna Marie, Thomas Randall, Quenten L., Julie Ann, Herbert, David, Joseph, Monica and Jody; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents, two sisters and two brothers in infancy, two brothers, Lewis "Bud" and John Van Deventer, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Cheryl Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, DeWitt, Missouri.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., on Monday before the service.

Elmer Andrew "Boo" Tolson, age 82, of Brunswick, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2004 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. He was born on December 28, 1921, in Brunswick, Missouri, the son of Tom and Beatrice Harris Tolson. He served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Army. Before he retired, Boo had been a truck driver for the Brunswick Distributing Company in Brunswick, Missouri. He was a member of the Zion A.M.E. Church at Brunswick, Missouri. He is survived by two daughters, Louvenia and Larkeita Collins both of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Louvenia Williams, Brunswick, Missouri and Mary Turner, San Diego, California; one sister-in-law, Willa Tolson, Brunwick, Missouri and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Dakota and Angela Rachel Collins and two brothers, Tom and Newton Tolson. Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Funeral Home in Brunswick, Missouri on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 10:30 a.m., with Reverend Marjorie Casson officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Brunswick City Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Rucker-McAllister Post #7, Brunswick, Missouri. Elizabeth Virginia Miller Renzelman, 85, of Liberty, Missouri, died Saturday, December 25, 2004, at Liberty Care Center. A funeral will be held Tuesday, December 28, at 1:30 p.m., at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, followed with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton.
Elizabeth was born January 1, 1919 in Carrollton, the daughter of Harry D. Miller and Myrtle Curtis, and lived in the Carrollton area a great deal of her life, also in California, Texas and Oklahoma. Elizabeth graduated from Carrollton High School in 1937.
Elizabeth was married to Virgil Frederick George Renzelman in 1939. To this union one daughter was born, Judith Ann.
Elizabeth was employed with the Beck and Harris Construction Company before retiring to Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Elizabeth was a member of the First Christian Church, Carrollton, the Trotter Hustlers Club, the Forum Club, and served as a member of the board for the Carrollton Library.
Their daughter, Judith Ann Endres, son-in-law, Frank Endres, her husband, Virgil and her sister Faye Marie Kinker, preceded Elizabeth in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Mary Catherine Miller Harper, Cypress, California, five nephews, John Miller Kinker, Raymore, Missouri, Harry Lee Kinker and his wife, Nancy, Adrian, Missouri, Curtis Milton Kinker and his wife, Beverly, Lenox, Iowa, Rick Lee Renzelman and his wife, Cindy, Pontiac, Illinois, Tabb Renzelman and his wife, Joyce, Raymore, Missouri, and four nieces, Shirley Ann Harper Bloom and her husband, Julian, Cypress, California, Mary Jane Kuhlman and her husband, Richard, Kansas City and Bella Vista, Arkansas, Martha Elizabeth Hutson and her husband, Bill, Franklin, Tennessee, and Loretta Renzelman Harding and her husband, Gary, The Woodlands, Texas; seven grandnephews, Brian Eugene Hutson, Kyle David Hutson, John Matthew Kinker, Todd Curtis Kinker, and Kyle, Craig and Jeffrey Renzelman; four grandnieces, Sandra Bloom Walker, Andrea Bloom Wells, Andrea Marie Kinker, Bethany Jane Kinker, Kari and Amy Renzelman and Whitney Harding; Five great-nephews, Bryan Walker, Tyler Joseph Hutson, Austin Brian Hutson, Ian Michael Wells, and Garrett Roberts, as well as four great-nieces, Sarah and Ashley Walker, Kelsey Wells, and Paige Roberts.

Bonnie Haney, age 100, passed away Monday, December 27, 2004 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri.
She was born November 12, 1904 in Berwick, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph S. and Marian Bobo Tracy. She attended Altoona Grade School and graduated from Carrollton High School and attended the Trinity Lutheran School of Nursing. She practiced nursing at Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. She was also a nurse at Carroll County Memorial Hospital from the time it opened in 1969 until her retirement. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Carrollton, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, the Peavine Extension Club, DAR, Descendants of the Mayflower and China Painters.
On March 8, 1930, she married Jewell Haney in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by four children, Bonnie Smith and husband, Gerald, Carrollton, Missouri, Arthur W. Haney and wife, Lois J., Ingram, Texas, Joseph H. Haney, Blue Springs, Missouri, Helen Oliver, Denver, Colorado; eight granddaughters; one grandson; eight great granddaughters; nine great grandsons and two step great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Alice, Nina and Margaret; one brother, Gail; two granddaughters, Deanna Haney and Kristie Fowler; and one granddaughter in infancy, Linda Haney.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Sandra Crater officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.

Doris Bernice Browning, age 84, of Kirksville, Missouri and formerly of Mendon, Missouri, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2004 at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri. She was born June 8, 1920 at Mendon, Missouri, the daughter of David William and Elva Hazel Alexander McCollum. Doris graduated from Mendon High School in 1938. She married Lee D. Browning on October 20, 1945 at Brookfield, Missouri. Lee preceded her in death on March 14, 1989. Doris had been an Interior Decorator in the Brunswick, Mendon and Brookfield areas. In 1990, she moved from the Brunswick/Mendon area to Brookfield, then in 1999, she moved to Queens City, Missouri to be near her sister, in 2000 she moved to the Senior Housing at Kirksville, Missouri and then to the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri. Doris was the 1999 Volunteer of the Year at the Pioneer Care Center at Marceline, Missouri. She had also volunteered on a regular basis at the Pershing Memorial Hospital at Brookfield, Missouri. Before she gave up driving, her day consisted of taking her friends and others to Doctors appointments and on other trips that they needed to go on. Doris collected frogs and enjoyed showing them to her visitors and friends, she also crafted hanging crosses from plastic and would give them to her friends and others. Doris always cherished her noonday meals and fellowship at the different Senior Centers she attended. She had been a member of the Mendon United Methodist Church, the South Eagle Church at Brookfield, and the Kirksville United Methodist Church. She is survived by one sister, Verna Branscom of Queens City, Missouri and many nieces and nephews. Doris was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Donald and Paul McCollum; four sisters, Cleo Sommerfield, Dorothy Rants and Mary and Fern in infancy. Funeral services will be at Gibson Funeral Home, Mendon, Missouri on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 1:30 p.m., with Reverend William Montgomery III officiating. Burial will be in Newcomer Cemetery, Mendon, Missouri. Memorials may be made to any of the following: Newcomer Cemetery, Brookfield Senior Center, South Eagles Church of Brookfield or Mendon United Methodist Church.
