Blythe Noel Burton, the deeply loved and awaited for infant daughter of Brian and Rosemary Burton, was stillborn Jan. 4, 2007. Blythe is resting peacefully in the arms of God.
Blythe is survived by her parents, one brother, Brandon Burton, and one sister, Brianna Burton, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Ray and Verna Peckinpaugh, and paternal grandparents, Thomas and Sarah Burton, all of Middletown, Ind.
Cremation was under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
Vertis Myers, 77

Vertis Myers, son of Oneil Myers and Minnie (Kimble) Myers was death by his parents and one brother, John Myers.
He is survived by his wife, Ina Joy of the home, Thornfield; three children, Richard Myers, Thornfield, Cynthia Johnson, Montana, and Ronald Myers, Louisiana; three grandchildren; four brothers, Dean Myers and Roger Myers, both of Louisiana, Mack Myers and Larry Myers, both of Texas; four sisters, Lena Brown, Louisiana, Janice Adams, Mississippi, Faye Howard, Louisiana, Florence Debetaz, Louisiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 22, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Barry DeWeese officiating. Cemetery.
The family requests memorials to the Southern Baptist Church of Thornfield or Thornfield born Sept. 28, 1917, near Arden in Douglas County, the daughter of Monroe (Buddy) and Bessie (Barton) Garrison. Lora and Ross Bloomer were united in marriage in 1951.
She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 20, 2007, at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, Ava, where she had resided a short time.
Lora loved the outdoors. She raised a garden as long as her health permitted. She loved caring for her pets, especially her little dog, Puppy, and cattle.
She was preceded in passing.
Visitation was hosted by Ava Family Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 22, from 6 to 7 p.m., with graveside services conducted Tuesday, Jan. 23 in the Ava City Cemetery.
All arrangements were under the direction of Ava Family Funeral Home.
Jerry Dennis Williams, 73

Jerry Dennis Williams, 73, was death by his parents, and a brother, John David Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Williams, of the home; three sons, Michael Williams, Scott Williams and Ronald Williams, all of the Dogwood community; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Wayne Williams and Harold Williams, both of Ozark, and Rodney Williams, of Niangua; and a host of friends and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m., in the Pleasant Ridge Southern Baptist Church, Dogwood, with burial following in the Pleasant Ridge died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
Sammie was preceded in born and raised in Wright County. He married for 62 years before Amel's interment in Delaware born on June 7, 1908, in Detroit, Mich., and departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on April 8, 2007, in Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, at the age of 98.
Margaret lived most of her life in Ava. She was a restaurant owner in Ava for several years. On June 14, 1924, Margaret and Leroy J. Potts were united in marriage in Detroit, Mich., and to this union six children were death by her parents; her husband, Leroy in 1961; 10 brothers and sisters; three sons, Dick, Bud and Raymond; and one daughter, Betty Lou.
Her survivors included one daughter, Dolores Barnum, and one son and spouse, John and Pat Potts, all of Ava; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Pastor Tom Maples officiating. Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The family requests memorials to Community Hospice of Mtn. Grove in care of the funeral home.

Hazel Roberta McAllister, the daughter of Homer Lewis Duckworth and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Daves) Duckworth, was death by her parents, two brothers, Virgil Duckworth and Claude Edward Duckworth, and a sister-in-law, Norma Duckworth.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Lisa McAllister, Ava; two brothers, Norman Duckworth, and Bill Duckworth and his wife, Velma, all of Ava; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating. Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Otter Creek Cemetery, or to the donor's choice.
