Mrs. Perna T. Hailey died May 12, 2004 at Plains Regional Medical Center, Clovis, N.M., at the age of 84.
She was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Romance, to Logan and Mae Burch Naugle.
She married Robert T. Hailey Aug. 8, 1939 in Ava.
She had been a resident of Clovis, N.M., since 1995, moving from Lubbock, Texas.
She had been a longtime resident of the Tulsa area.
She and her husband owned the Daylight Donut Shops in Tulsa and Broken Arrow, Okla.
She was a member of the 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Ben; and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Hailey (Carol Kay) of Clovis, N.M., and Harold Hailey (Margaret) of Vancouver, Wash.; one daughter, Nova Sue Adkison of Cushing, Okla.; one sister, Wilma Fish, of Gainesville; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 17, at 16th and Pile Church of Christ, Clovis, N.M., with Jim Gammon officiating.
Burial was at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Okla., under direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
Charlie L. Lietch, 82

Charlie L. Lietch, 82, Ava, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2004, in Cox Medical Center South, surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 16, 1922, at McClurg, the son of Oscar and Mary Ellen (Jennings) Lietch.
On Feb. 2, 1946, he was united in marriage to Chestene Turner and this union was blessed with three children.
Charlie proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army from Oct. 21,1942, to Jan. 15, 1946.
He was a talented and well-known carpenter, and built several local area homes.
During retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and making gifts for his family and friends.
He spent special times helping his children and always wanted the family to be near him.
He was preceded in death by both parents, one sister, and one great-grandson.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Chestene, of the home; one son, Kenny Lietch and wife, Michele, of Marshfield; two daughters, Carol Herd and husband, Gary, of Thornfield, and Marsha Miller and husband, Larry Joe, of Ava; one brother, Bill Lietch and wife, Carol, of Ava; one sister, Margie Phipps and husband, Leslie, of Aurora, Ore.; two sisters-in-law, Edythe Applegate of Ozark, and Helen Turner, of Ava; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and many caring friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 28, at the First General Baptist Church, with a nephew, the Rev. Jerry Applegate, and the Rev. Robert Roberts officiating.
Arrangements were under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home.
Burial was in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post 112 and VFW Post 5993.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Tabor Cemetery Fund at Bames Family Funeral Home.
Rev. Llewellyn M. (Lew) Heigham, 92

Llewellyn M. (Lew) Heigham, the son of William Hirst Heigham and Ella Amelia Ittner Heigham, was born June 30, 1911, in Waycross, Ga., and departed this life May 27,2004, at the age of 92 years.
Mr. Heigham and Naomi M. Beall were united in marriage on Nov. 4, 1932, in Oxon Hill, Md., and to this union, two children were born.
Rev. Heigham graduated from Oxon Hill High in Oxon Hill, Md. in 1927, as valedictorian, and Strayer College in Washington, D.C., also as valedictorian.
He read for the Order under Bishop Louis Falk and was ordained deacon in 1981 and ordained priest in 1982.
He served as priest at St. Francis Anglican until his retirement in 1995.
Rev. Heigham moved to Ava in 1955 and was employed as accountant for Moore Poultry and Heath & Sons for many years.
He and his wife were well known as the Bell Makers of the Back Acres, sending his ceramic bells all over the world.
His wife, Naomi, did the hand painting on the bells.
Rev. Heigham was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi, Marshfield; one son, Priest Llewellyn M. Heigham Jr. and wife, Ella Jean, St. Louis; a daughter, Naomi M. "Nickie" Jones and husband, Norman, of Marshfield; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. June 5 in the St. Francis Anglican Church in Ava, with Father Glen Hartley and Father Llew Heigham Jr. officiating.
Lew’s body has been donated to the University of Missouri Medical School as per his request.

John Thomas Nation, 86

John "J.T." Nation, 86, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at the Glenwood Healthcare Nursing Home in Seymour.
He was born April 7, 1918, in Marion, Ky., and was the eldest of three sons.
John married Verna Lee McCaslin in December 1941 in Princeton, Ky., and from that marriage had two sons.
They were married for 63 years when she passed away in February 2004.
John enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 and served his country for 20 distinguished years.
During World War II he served in France, Belgium, Holland the Netherlands, and Germany, where he was awarded the Bronze Star.
John completed his military service in Panama, Indo-China, Japan, Germany and the U.S.
He retired from active duty in 1962 as a first sergeant with the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kan.
The family moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he worked for Bell Helicopter until he retired.
He and his wife, also resided in Lufkin, Texas; Cheyenne, Wyo., and Dover, Tenn.
John moved to Ava in 2000 so he could be near his relatives.
John was a gifted artist and had publicly displayed his award winning "mud" paintings on many occasions.
He loved to fish, do wood crafts and travel.
John is survived by his brothers, D.A. Nation, of Millford, Mich., and Robert "Bob" Nation, of Ava; his sons, Jerry Nation, of Graniteville, S.C., and John Nation, of Ozark, and their families which include four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the time of his interment at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
Cremation services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
Eula E. Dyer, 89

Eula E. Dyer, 89, passed away at Cox Medical Center North, Springfield, on Feb. 3, 2005.
She was born July 12, 1915, at Teeter, in Douglas County, the eldest daughter of Charley and Lydia Woolman.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Diana, of the home; one brother, Bill Woolman; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Clifford and Elwood Woolman; and one sister, Rebecca Sargent.
Eula was a devoted mother and loved people.
She retired from restaurant work.
She was buried at Yates Cemetery on Monday, Feb. 7.

Atleigh Claire Jenkins, Bella Vista, Ark., infant daughter of Eric Jenkins and Jesimy Childers Jenkins, died Feb. 6, 2005, at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Campus, Little Rock, Ark.
She is survived by her parents; her paternal grandparents, Darrell and Sun Jenkins, of Lowell, Ark.; and her maternal grandparents, Audie and Melissa Childers, of Bella Vista, Ark.; an uncle, Robert Jenkins; an uncle and aunt, Gabriel and Stephanie Childers; and a cousin, Caden Childers.
"Atleigh, although you were short lived, you will be loved and missed as if you lived a long and healthy life. You are and always will be our perfect little princess. Love always, Mom and Dad."
A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, 2 p.m., at Elm Springs Cemetery, Elm Springs, Ark., with Anthony Young conducting.

Thomas Randall Fleetwood Bujarski, the son of Shane Bujarski and Lacy Fleetwood, was stillborn Feb. 7, 2005, in Springfield, Mo.
Thomas is survived by his loving family, his father, Shane Bujarski, Mansfield; his mother, Lacy Fleetwood, Mtn. Grove; a sister, Kassidy Fleetwood, Mtn. Grove; paternal grandfather, Randy Bujarski; maternal grandfather, Dennis Naugle, state of Oklahoma; maternal grandmother, Beth Creed, Mtn. Grove; maternal great-grandmother, Donna Gunter, Mtn. Grove; maternal great-grandmother, Shirley-Aubie Naugle, Mtn. Grove; and several aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at the Denlow Cemetery with the Rev. Noel Scott officiating. Services are under the direction of the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
James Doyne Parrish, 82

James Doyne Parrish, son of Marlie M. Parrish and Millie Frances Phillips Parrish, was born on Nov. 27, 1922, in Pollard, Ark., and passed away on Feb. 13, 2005, in Ava, at the age of 82 years.
James was a resident of Ava since 1963, moving from St. Louis.
He was a repairman for Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. for 30 years.
He also had worked as a school teacher in Arkansas.
On July 3, 1955, James and Evelyn Pauline Alderson were united in marriage in McDougal, Ark., and to this union, two children were born.
James loved to fish and hunt.
He adored his family and grandson, Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Merle Parrish; one sister, Georgie Grissom; his wife, Evelyn Pauline in 1989; and one grandson, Joseph Lane Walker.
His survivors include, one daughter and her husband, Sharon Kay and Mark Wolfe; one son, Ritchie Lynn Parish, all of Ava; one grandson, Bradley Lane Walker, Ava; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service is Friday, Feb. 18, 2 p.m., at the Ava Cemetery, with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating.
Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
Glenn E. Witchey, 99

Glenn E. Witchey, son of Jacob E. Witchey and Hattie Dill Witchey, was born on Aug. 9, 1905, in Alva, Okla., and passed away on Feb. 12, 2005, in Springfield, at the age of 99 years.
Glenn was a resident of Brookline Station for the past 13 years, moving from Ava, where he lived most of his life.
Glenn was a farmer.
On March 5, 1926, Glenn and Gladys M. Evilsisor were united in marriage in Ava, and to this union, seven children were born.
Glenn was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Ava.
He enjoyed his craft-making, such as painting, woodworking and stained glass. He also loved his animals and enjoyed visited and telling stories and being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; three sisters; his wife, Gladys; one son, Earl Witchey; and two grandchildren.
Glenn is survived by six children, Cecil E. Witchey, Ava, Arlyce Lankford, Brookline Station, Mo., Leona Arlene Springs, Warsaw, Mo., Robert Witchey, Springfield, Betty Kenyon and Loren Gene Witchey, both of Ava; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Fritz, Wichita, Kans.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 16, 10 a.m., at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with Pastor Dan Kaffenberger officiating.
Interment was in the Whites Creek Cemetery.
Martha Susan "Susie’ Vaughn, 89

Martha Susan "Susie" Vaughn, daughter of James A. Ingram and Pearl Martin Ingram, was born on Sept. 24, 1915, in Hilo, Mo., in Douglas County, and passed away on Feb. 5, 2005, in West Plains, at the age of 89.
Susie lived most of her life in the Ava community. She was a Christian and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.
Her survivors include two sons, James Stewart and wife, Brenda, Ava, and Tom Loftis Jr. and wife, Sheila, of the state of Utah; one daughter, Rebecca Robertson and husband, Thomas G., of Theodosia; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Smith, Broken Arrow, Okla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Robert Roberts officiating.
Interment was in Ava Cemetery.
