Marion L. Allen, 68, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center after a short battle with cancer.
Marion was born Aug. 9, 1938, in Ava. He was the oldest of three children born to Clyde and Leora Allen.
At the age of 13, he moved with his family to Twin Falls, where he graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1956.
He married his best friend and soulmate, Fern Tattersall, of Eden, Idaho, on Sept. 12, 1957. They were blessed with three wonderful children, Fred in 1958, Dan in 1961, and Angie in 1969.
Marion farmed until 1970, when he started working at Amalgamated Sugar in Twin Falls, and retired from there in 2000.
He was truly happiest when he was spending time with his family, his horses and having his friends nearby.
Surviving Marion are his wife, Fern; sons, Fred and Dan (Cindy); daughter, Angie (Guy) Standlee; six grandchildren, Dusty (Guada), Courtney, Ryan, Quentin, Aaron and Austin; one great-grandson, Conner; his mother, Leora; and a sister, Shirley (Richard) McCrite.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Pearl Allen, and Charles and Ethel Jones, his father, Clyde Allen, and a brother, J.C. Allen.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Twin Falls First Christian Church.
Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home in Twin Falls.
Shirley Joyce Naugle, 69

Shirley Naugle, the daughter of Howard Long and Delphia (Garrison) Long, was born Feb. 1, 1937, in Noble, Mo., and departed this life Dec. 2, 2006, at the age of 69.
Shirley, formerly of Noble, was a resident of Mountain Grove for the past five years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
On June 17, 1955, Shirley and Aubie Ray Naugle were united in marriage in Gainesville, and to this union, six children were born.
Shirley was a homemaker and a nurse assistant. She loved to go fishing and was an outdoor girl.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.
Survivors include her husband, Aubie Naugle, Mountain Grove; six children, Joyce Kleweno, Ensign, Kan., Janet Dowler, Bixby, Okla., Kathy Jantzen, Cimarron, Kan., Gary Naugle and Dennis Naugle both of Mounds, Okla., and Bill Naugle, Mountain Grove; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one brother, Troy Long, Plano, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with E.J. Hampton officiating.
Interment followed in the Noble Cemetery.
The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
Larry Hutchison, 47

Larry Hutchison, 47, of Moberly, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, in the emergency room at Moberly Regional Medical Center where he had been taken after suffering a heart attack while shoveling snow at his home.
Mr. Hutchison was born March 4, 1959, at Davenport, Iowa. He was a son of Wilburn and Marilyn (Hagedorn) Hutchison.
He was a correctional officer with the Moberly Correctional Center for 21 years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his "girls."
He married Debbie LeRoy on June 10, 1977, at Ava, and she survived at the home.
Also surviving are children, Jamie and husband, Devin Snodgrass, of Jefferson City, Shelby Hutchison, of the home; a granddaughter, Bailee Snodgrass; his parents, Wilburn and Louise Hutchison, of Norwood; his grandmother, Minnie Snoddy, of Ava; a brother, Gary and wife, Marsha Hutchison, of Ava; a sister, Connie and husband Terry Lansdown, of Ogden, Utah; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Hutchison, and his grandparents.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Evans Church in Evans, Mo., with interment at Evans Cemetery.
Visitation was held Tuesday at Cater Funeral Home in Moberly.
Memorials to the Evans Cemetery or charity of donor's choice would be appreciated.
Valerie May Weyrauch, 49

Valerie May (Armentrout Olson) Weyrauch was born June 4, 1957, and was sadly taken from us on Nov. 23, 2006.
Valerie was a lifelong resident of Ava and the owner of Professional Tax Services. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. When she had free time she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, crocheting, reading, traveling, the outdoors, and just enjoying life as it came to her.
Valerie was preceded in death by both of her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Weyrauch Jr., and one son, Erik, of the family home; two daughters, Michelle (Olson) Churchill and Nicole (Olson) Gunyon; three stepdaughters, Tammy (Weyrauch) Gunter, Amy Weyrauch, and Rebecca Weyrauch; two stepsons, David Weyrauch and John Weyrauch; two sisters; a host of nieces and nephews; and wonderful grandchildren.
Valerie had requested no services.
Lenard V. Zellner, 83

Lenard V. Zellner, 83, was born Feb. 14, 1923, to Peter and Johanna Zellner in Blanker, Wisc.
He departed this life on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at home in Ava.
On July 3, 1946, he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 50 years, Norma.
Lenard lived in Rockford, Ill., where he worked as a machinist for Roper Whitney Tool Co., before moving to Ava in August 1976.
After retiring, Lenard was a contractor and enjoyed fixing things.
He also was a former member of the Ava United Methodist Church and also the Trinity Lutheran Church. At the time of his passing, he attended Ava General Baptist Church.
Lenard was not a quitter, and even though he had numerous medical problems he never gave up and was always willing to help others overcome their medical difficulties, as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Johanna Zellner, and his son, Gary. Also preceding Lenard in death were three brothers, Carl, Peter and Robert, and one sister, Marian Konopa.
Lenard is survived by his wife, Norma, of the home; three brothers, Joseph and Delores Zellner, of Saynor, Wisc., Kenneth and Marion Zellner, and Bernard and Eunice Zellner, all of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Myrt and Quentin Tacks, Belvedere, Ill., and Rheta Zellner, of Rockford, Ill.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at Ava Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating.
A private burial will follow at the Ava Cemetery.
Thelma Mary Call, 103

Thelma Mary Call, daughter of Warren Miller Strait and Ella (Heatherington) Strait, was born Nov. 5, 1903, in Sweden, Mo., and departed this life in Ava, on Nov. 30, 2006, at the age of 103.
Thelma was a life-long resident of the Ava area.
She and Alva "Ivy" P. Call were united in marriage on Feb. 19, 1922, in Squires, Mo., and to this union, 10 children were born.
Thelma was a housewife and worked on the farm with her husband, Ivy.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and taught Sunday school and also taught school.
Thelma enjoyed working in the garden, working puzzles, and writing letters. She was a great cook and adored her family.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ivy, one son, Loren, one daughter, Mary, a stillborn son, three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by seven children, Clarence Call, Spirit Lake, Iowa, Vera Fields, Torrance, Calif., Cecil Call, Rochelle, Ill., Dorothy Miller, Gainesville, Troy Call, West Plains, Phyllis Robertson, Mansfield, and Ralph Call, Ava; 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Max Stephens officiating.
Interment followed in the Girdner Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
JoAnn C. Heard, 64

JoAnn Carol Heard, 64, of Lee's Summit, passed away Dec. 3, 2006, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was employed by Treat America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Heard, and parents, L.T. and Cora Hopper.
Her survivors include a daughter, Debbie Heard of Overland Park, Kan.; a son Greg Heard, of Lee's Summit; grandsons, Alan and James Heard, of Independence; and brothers, Van Hopper, of Raymore, and Leon Hopper, of Mountain Grove.
Services will be held at Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Funeral Home in Mountain Grove on Saturday, Dec. 9.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. and the funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Interment will be at Oak Forest Cemetery, Norwood.
Jacob 'Jake' Ryan Yeates, 17

Jacob Ryan Yeates, son of David Michael Yeates and Cheri Jean (Jackson) Bowden, was born Sept. 17, 1989, in Phoenix, Ariz., and died Nov. 25, 2006, at the age of 17.
Jake had lived in the Ava area since June of this year after moving from Dewey, Ariz. He was a junior at Ava High School.
Jake enjoyed cars, hunting, fishing, and all sports. Jake loved Jesus and wanted his friends to share his love. He had a huge heart for everyone around him and was always there to lend a helping hand. He always greeted you with his big smile and a hug or a strong hand. Jake was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Chino Valley, Ariz., and was baptized on his birthday Sept. 17, 1995.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hugh Yeates.
Survivors include his parents David Michael Yeates, Phoenix, Ariz., Cheri and Steven Bowden, Ava; one sister, Stephanie Millsap, Chino Valley, Ariz.; two brothers, Lee Bowden and Caleb Yeates, both of Ava; maternal grandparents, Willis and Jean Jackson, Tucson, Ariz.; paternal grandparents, Betty and Joe Morris, Sun Lakes, Ariz.; step-grandmother, Frieda Bowden, Pigott, Ark.; paternal great-grandmother, Ruby Dover, Cartersville, Ga.; nieces, a nephew-on-the-way, uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) in the First General Baptist Church, Ava, with the Revs. Neal Crum and Mark Reeder officiating.
Interment will be in the Union Grove Cemetery.
Visitation was held Wednesday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
