Leon Cannady
Leon Cannady, 60, of Parma, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, near Marble Hill, Mo.
Born Jan. 5, 1942, in Como, Mo., son of the late Clarence and Goldie Creason Cannady he was a farmer and a member of the Church of God in Parma.
On March 17, 1972, in New Madrid, Mo., he married
Judy Cullum, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, Christopher Cannady, of Parma and Calvin Davidson, of Malden, Mo.; three daughters, Tammy Lee and Tina Thurman, both of Tallapoosa, Mo.and Vicky Cravens, of Parma; three brothers, Hubert Cannady, of Malden and Ronnie and William Cannady, both of Bernie, Mo.; one sister, Beulah Brown, of Alton, Ill. and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl O'Dell officiating.
Burial will follow at the Rosewood cemetery in Malden.
Mary Lou Hampton
Mary Lou Hampton, of Campbell, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Nora McMillian Keesee, 80, of Bernie, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at National HealthCare in Kennett.

Mavis Lea
Mavis Estelle Lea, 83, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Qulin, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Three Rivers Hospital-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Born Sept. 22, 1919, in Greenbrier, Ark., she was a homemaker and a member of the Qulin Church of Christ.
On Oct. 30, 1937, she married
C.W. Lea, who preceded her in death on June 14, 1998. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Flowers and one sister, Ruth Hoggard.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Lansford, of Poplar Bluff and Barbara Lancaster, of Qulin; three sisters, Carrie Matthews and Odell Norsworthy, both of Malden, Mo. and Nellie Cude, of Arbyrd, Mo.; six grandchildren, Letitia Benson, Leah Madison and Lana Shearer, all of Qulin and Rick and Jamie Lansford and Sandy Rickman, all of Poplar Bluff and great-grandchildren, Dustin, Landen and Haley Benson, Lance, Holden and Brooke Madison, Christy, Candice, Craig, Jordan and Dawson Lansford, Alan-Michael and Maci Shearer, Christopher, Laura Beth and Natalea Rickman, Samantha Peck and Sara and Savannah Mattingly.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the White-Sanders Funeral Home chapel with Freeman Mahan officiating. Burial will follow at the Qulin cemetery.
Paralee Morgan
Paralee Morgan, 83, of Campbell, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born July 3, 1919, in Gibson, Mo., daughter of the late George and Nancy Elizabeth Stafford Harp, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
On Oct. 10, 1935, in Conran, Mo., she married
Hoyt Morgan, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, Robert Arthur Morgan and wife, Barbara, of Jefferson City, Mo. and Tommy Morgan and wife, Diane, of Cumming, Ga.; two daughters, Elizabeth Thacker and husband, Richard, of Poplar Bluff and Bernice 'Booty' Frantz and husband, Dennis, of Mascoutah, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bill Morgan; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larkin Enlow officiating.
Burial will follow at the Tucker cemetery in Campbell, Mo.
Cassie Pierce
Cassie Lou Bishop Pierce, 67, of Edwardsville, Ill., formerly of Cardwell, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Born Aug. 15, 1935, in Cardwell, daughter of Naomi Laverne Herrod Stanley, of Cardwell and the late James Ivan Bishop, she was a Wal-Mart employee and a member of the Calvery Baptist Church in Edwardsville.
She married
Gerald Don 'Sam' Bishop, who preceded her in death and later maried Bobby Gene Pierce, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald 'Jerry' Bishop, of Rogers, Ark. and Steven Pierce, of Edwardsville; four daughters, Naomi Bishop and Rebecca Bishop Seyer, both of Edwardsville, Lynn Wells, of Winnsboro, S.C. and Katie Bishop Hanshaw, of North Little Rock, Ark.; her step-father, Rev. A.E. Stanley, of Cardwell; three brothers, Jim Bishop, of Kalamazoo, Mich., Joe Bishop, of Jackson, Mo., and John Bishop, of Aurora, Ill.; two sisters, Nancy Armstrong, of Kennett and Wanda Cisco, of Galesburg, Ill. and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Calvary Full Gospel Church in Cardwell with the Rev. Taylor Wells officiating.
Burial was in the Cardwell cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cardwell cemetery Fund. Heath Funeral Home of Paragould, Ark. was in charge of arrangements.
Mary Hampton
Mary Lou Hampton, of Campbell, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born in Parma, Mo., daughter of the late John and Pearl Sebastian Buttrey, she was a secretary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Campbell, where she was active in Vacation Bible School, GAs, Acteens, Sunbeams, Choir and WMU.
On July 16, 1954, in Parma, she married
Jack Hampton, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Brain Hampton and wife, Beverly, of Malden, Mo.; one daughter, Andrea Landewee and husband, Michael, of Kelso, Mo.; five grandchildren, John and Allison Hampton and Elizabeth, Alicia and Andrianna Landewee; six sisters, Pat Atwill, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Alice Crow and Betty Wagner, both of Parma, Iva Nell Blatchley, of Denver, Colo., Nancy Buttery, of Cordova, Tenn. and Carolyn Shelton, of Malden and three brothers, Samuel Buttrey, of Broseley, Mo., Edward Buttrey, of Fisk, Mo. and John Buttrey, Jr., of Orlando, Fla.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Buttrey.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the First Baptist Church in Campbell with the Revs. Jeff Gatewood and James Marlar officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.
Nora Keesee
Nora McMillian Keesee, 80, of Bernie, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at National HealthCare in Kennett.
Born Jan. 28, 1922, in Moark, Ark., daughter of the late Charlie and Damie Whitehead Walker, she was a homemaker and of the General Baptist faith.
On Dec. 18, 1936, she married
Woody McMillian, who preceded her in death. She later married
Frank Deesee on Aug. 29, 1968, who precedeed her in death. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie McMillian Downing, of Memphis, Tenn.; four sons, Don McMillian and wife, Mary, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; Ronnie McMillian and wife, Willene, of Columbia, Mo. and Bob McMillian and wife, Debra and Steve McMillian and wife, Edith, all of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jana Collins, Jaime Rook, Donnie, Tim, Shannon, Shane and Holly McMillian and Moriah Champagne; one brother, Charles Walker, of Bernie; one sister, Anna Mae Flippins, of Dudley, Mo. and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Mayo officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethany cemetery in Campbell, Mo.
Melvin Redden
Melvin Neal 'Pete' Redden, 67, of Clarkton, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at his residence.
Born April 21, 1935, in Sardis, Tenn., son of the late James Charles and Sarah Lou Hunt Redden, he was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. On Jan. 6, 1953, in Caruthersville, Mo., he married
Sarah Glenda Hopkins, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include three sons, Terry Neal and Tracey Lee Redden, both of Clarkton and Larry Keith Redden, of Miner, Mo.; three daughters, Paula Annette Skaggs, of Greenville, Mo., Sara Jeanette Perkins, of Sikeston, Mo. and Tammy Juanita Newton, of Benton, Mo.; two sisters, Eartie Ash, of Clarkton and Frankie Gains, of Hayti, Mo.; two brothers, Elco Redden, of Clarkton and Lawson Redden, of Marston, Mo.; 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
Burial will follow at the Stanfield cemetery in Clarkton.
Norman Campbell
Norman Lee Campbell, 46, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, at Poplar Bluff.
Born June 7, 1956, in Dexter, Mo., son of Robert Lee Campbell, of Wappapello, Mo. and Eunice Marie Gregory Campbell, of Sikeston, Mo., he was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW of Poplar Bluff.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew Campbell, of Memphis, Tenn. and Roman Lee Campbell, of Kennett; one daughter, Robin Campbell Martinez, of Irving, Texas; one grandson, Andrew Jacob Martinez, of Irving; two sisters, Frances Hays, of Sikeston and Sheila Hays, of Wappapello.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Marie Johnson.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, Mo. with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Burial was in the Gregory cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Stephen Hayes, Larry Johnson, Stephen R. and Chris A. Polley, David Worley and Dennis W. Hayes.
Jimmy Nipper
Jimmy Nipper, 70, of Cardwell, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Pine Bluff, Ark.

Dorothy Sullivan
Dorothy Edna Sullivan, 89, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
Born May 19, 1913, in Matthews, Mo., daughter of the late James and Ona Collins Carmody, she was a nurses aid, worked at the Delta Garment Factory and was a member of the Hayti First Baptist Church.
On May 2, 1938, in Sikeston, Mo., she married
Paul Sullivan, who preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1972. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Dick and Buddy Campbell and one sister, Ona Mae Springsted.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Husband and husband, Earl, of Odessa, Texas, Dorothy Jane Wilbanks and husband, Richard, of Duncanville, Texas and Sharon Kay Mott and husband, Bobby, of Hayti; one brother, Charles Carmody, of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Imogene Lattig, of Rock Spring, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Kim Cain, of Crane, Texas, Jon Husband, of Odessa, Scott Wilbanks, of Arlington, Texas, Christi Davidson, of Waxahachie, Texas and Stephanie Quick, of Blytheville, Ark. and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Brian Quick, Scott Wilbanks, Patrick Davidson, Jon Husband, Bob Hicks and James Mott.
