Martha Coffel

Martha Marie Brown Coffel, 80, of Campbell, Mo., died Saturday, March 29, 2003, at Mary Mount Manor in Eureka, Mo.

Born July 24, 1922, in Marston, Mo., daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Sarah Ann Hamm Brown, she was a nurse and a member of the South Canaan General Baptist Church. She was a member of the South Canaan Missionary Society and the Missouri Nurses Association.

On April 23, 1938, in Kennett, she married Virgil Lee Coffel, who preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1979. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Frankie Joe and Roger L. Coffel and one infant son, Robbie Coffel.

Survivors include one daughter, Norma L. Hankins and husband, Paul, of Eureka; two sons, Donald L. Coffel and wife, Beth, of Alexandria, Va. and Michael G. Coffel and wife, Betty, of Snellville, Ga.; six grandchildren, Michelle Johnson, Jennifer Owens and Donald, Anthony, Darin and Mariah Coffel; four great-grandchildren, Heather Marie Carnahan and Katie Ann, Derek and Drew Johnson.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 1, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Joshua Carpenter officiating.

Burial was in the Loyd cemetery at Holcomb, Mo.

Deangelo Dobbins, Jr.

Deangelo Nick Dobbins, Jr., infant, of Malden, Mo., died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Three Rivers Health Care-North in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born March 27, 2003, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., he was the son of Deangelo and Shalawrence Lofton Dobbins, of Malden.

Survivors also include one sister, Shamya Dobbins, of Malden; grandparents, Robert Cole and Margaret Lee and Ricky Beal, Sr. and Angie Dobbins, all of Malden and Pamela Lofton, of Memphis, Tenn. and great-grandparents, Larry and Dorothia Norman, of Memphis, Alma Lee Dobbins, of Malden and Robert D. Dobbins and Roland Beal, Sr., both of West Memphis, Tenn.

Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 1, at the Macedonia cemetery in Malden with Elder James Fair officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.

Earl Floyd

Earl Floyd, 84, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, March 28, 2003, at his residence

Born Dec. 26, 1918, in Selmer, Tenn., son of the late Will Floyd and Virginia Oswell Floyd, he was a U.S. Army veteran, employed at Brown Shoe Company of Caruthersville and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Steele, Mo.

He married Ivie Floyd, who preceded him in death in 1982 and later married Christine Pearlie Reagon, who preceded him in death on May 31, 2002. He was also preceded in death by one son, Gene Floyd.

Survivors include four sons, Billy Floyd, of Caruthersville, Ricky Floyd, of Tulsa, Okla. and Danny and Glenn Robertson, both of Steele, Mo.; one daughter, Phyllis Kennedy, of Steele; one brother, Tom Floyd, of Kansas City, Mo.; 17 grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Revs. John Badgley and Gary Andrews officiating.

Burial was in the Little Prairie cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Greg Payne, Ricky Floyd, Danny and Glenn Robertson, Brian Kennedy and Charles Robertson, Jr.

Albert Joyce

Albert Lee Joyce, 86, of Risco, Mo., died Monday, March 31, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Dec. 13, 1916, in Malden, Mo., son of the late Andrew Emanuel Joyce and Nora Elizabeth Masters Joyce, he was a farmer and a member of the General Baptist Church in Risco.

On Aug. 21, 1939, he married Novella Daphne Killbreath, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Donald Joyce and wife, Joyce, of Risco; one daughter, Linda Tabor and husband, Jim, of Sardis, Miss.; one brother, Jackie Joyce and wife, Lottie, of Lilbourn, Mo,; three sisters, Lillian Gammon, of Battle Creek, Mich., Lina Franks, of Peach Orchard, Mo. and Olivia Scarbrough and husband, Gene, of Muskegon, Mich.; two granddaughters, Teresa Norton, of Sardis and Donna Joyce, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Self officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cecmetery in Malden.

Helen Karnes

Helen M. Karnes, 88, of Redlands, Calif., formerly of Senath, Mo., died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at Redlands.

Born March 19, 1915, in East Prairie, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Charles Albert and Eva Belle Warthan Marshall.

On Aug. 25, 1935, in Corning, Ark., she married Charles "Digger" Karnes, who preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1965. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Ellen Schumacher and husband, Carl, of Redlands; one sister, Emma Greenway, of Blytheville, Ark.; two granddaughters, Lynn Creekmore and Susan Youree and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Charles Youree.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 31, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Bob McNabb officiating.

Burial was in the Lulu cemetery at Senath.

Pallbearers were Charles, Eddie and Wayne Marshall, Terry Creekmore and Roger Youree.

Morella Lawrence

Morella Belle Lawrence, 70, of Malden, Mo., died Friday, March 28, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born May 3, 1932, in Malden, daughter of the late Uewell Ransom White and Kizzie Belle Psalmonds White, she was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son, Junior Lawrence and wife, Mary, of Malden; two sisters, Bernice Andrews and husband, Silas and Beulah Evans, all of Malden and one granddaughter, Sherrie Lawrence, of Malden.

She was preceded in death by one son, Calvin Lawrence; one sister, Carmen Russom and one brother, Ernest White.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Burial was in the Rosewood cemetery at Malden.

Louisa Mansfield

Louisa Georgia Mansfield, 79, of Troy, Mo., formerly of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Troy Manor Nursing Home in Troy.

She was born Feb. 22, 1924, daughter of the late Robert Hefner and Emma Purdom Hefner, she ws a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

In 1940, in Piggott, Ark., she married Claud Mansfield, who preceded her in death on July 24, 1973. She was also preceded in death by two daughters and two sisters.

Survivors include nine children, Virginia Stinson, of Bourbon, Mo., Geneva Burgan, of Paris, Mo., Chester Mansfield, of Branson, Mo., Steve Mansfield, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Ellen Ellis, of Warrenton, Mo., Charles Mansfield, of Ballwin, Mo., Christine Lamp and Shirley Ort, both of Piggott and Sandy Hill, of St. Clair, Mo.; two step-sons, Lester Mansfield, of Rector, Ark. and Brett Mansfield, of Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Opal Chadwick, of Arkansas; two brothers, Donald Hefner, of Williamsville, Mo. and Ralph Hefner, of Piedmont, Mo.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 31, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Steve Bricker officiating.

Burial was in the Elder cemetery at Campbell.

Robert Reinbott

Robert Edward Reinbott, 77, of Bernie, Mo., died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at the Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

Born Nov. 17, 1925, son of the late Charles Reinbott and Clara Chaney Reinbott, he was a farmer and a member of the Vinson General Baptist Church in Bernie.

On April 2, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Kathleen Moore, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Michael Edward Reinbott and wife, Phyllis ann, of Parma, Mo.; three brothers, Harold Reinbott, of Morley, Mo., Martin Reinbott, of Bertrand, Mo. and Roger Reinbott, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three sisters, Lillian Austin, of Fort Meyers, Fla., Mary Burbaker, of Hershey, Pa. and Ruth Baughman, of Colorado springs, Colo.; three grandchildren, Matthew Reinbott, Cindy Green and Denny Riddle and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Keenan Dewayne and Dennis Robert Reinbott and one brother, Raymond Reinbott. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Doyle Corlew and Martin Goode officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park cemetery in Malden, Mo.

Rosalyn Sanders

Rosalyn Sanders, 83, of Senath, Mo., died Friday, March 28, 2003, at the Northeast Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Jan. 18, 1920, in Newark, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Charley Henry and Roberta Lee Hodges Shown.

On June 14, 1936, in Newark, she married John Sanders, who preceded her in death on July 19, 2000. She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Sanders; two brothers, Virgil and Charles Shown and one sister, Pauline Shown.

Survivors include two sons, John Sanders and wife, Vicky, of Sikeston, Mo. and Aubrey Sanders, of Rector, Ark.; three daughters, Anna Lee Sanders, of Quebec, Canada, Minnie Sanders, of Kennett and Lyndia Crafton, of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Paul Shown, of Junction City, Kan. and Jim Shown, of Kennett; 11 grandchildren, Chuck and Sandrea Long, Keith Westerfield, Kelley Mayhue, Chris Crafton, Wendell, Carla, Tim and Alisha Sanders, Cari Gulley and Tracy White; 10 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Cheryl and Jade Long, Jeremy Westerfield, Katelyn White, Mallory and Natalie Gulley, McKenzie and Madison Mayhue and Sarah Sanders and one great-great-grandchild, Tyler Long.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at the Assembly of God Church in Senath with the Rev. Wayland Tom officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Chuck Long, Keith Westerfield, Wendell and Tim Sanders, Chris Crafton, Terry White, Kenneth Gulley, Bob Mayhue, Tony Latham and Hershel Masterson.

Honorary pallbearers were Floyd Britton, Greg, Randal and Kenny Gipson, Wally Brown and John Wilcox.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Scott

Ruby Lavaida Scott, 75, of Cadiz, Ky., formerly of Kennett, died Saturday, March 29, 2003, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.

Born Dec. 24, 1927, in Tipperary, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Harry Everett and Elcie May Damron Benson.

She married Lewis P. Scott, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1984. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jerie Jay and Jamie Joe Scott and three sisters, Mary Killian, Barbara Gail Coffel and Dorthy Mullins.

Survivors include two sons, Jack R. Scott and wife, Brenda, of Rector, Ark. and John P. Scott and wife, Suzanne, of Rockford, Ill.; four daughters, Sharon F. Scott, Sharol A. Jacobson, Anita L. Gothard and husband, Tom and Connie M. Williams and husband, Bob, all of Cadiz; three brothers, Richard, Bobbie and Michael Benson, all of Kennett; three sisters, Opal Mullins, of Kennett. Johnnie Wallace, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Margaret Cannady, of Corning, Ark.; 19 grandchildren, Terry K., Gary L., Michael A. and Matthew J. Scott, Tonia D. Womble, Jackie R. Scott, Jr., Sharmaley S. Burdin, Jerry J. Jones, Christina M. Vavak, Richie S. Ward, Jr., Shelly S. Long, Pamela L. McDonald, Schtakwa Dawn and Jason R. Ward, Joshua R. Williams, Davonda L. Brooks, James R. Jacobson, Kevin J. Boss and Becky M. Morgan and 34 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. David Futrell officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Johnnie and Chris Higgins, Jack Burdin, Jr., Randy Vavak, Ronald Smithee and Tim Bowers.

Anna Massie

Anna May Massie, 91, of Malden, Mo., died today, Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Landess Funeral Home of Malden.
