Paul Gwin, Sr.
Paul Hayes Gwin, Sr., age 92, died Sunday, November 18, 2001 in North Penn Hospital, Lansdale, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of the late Adelle Goldsmith Gwin, who preceded him in death on July 23, 1980. The couple had been married
fifty years. Born in Hayti, Missouri on July 1, 1909, he was the son of the late Winifred Winfield Gwin and Iona Geeham Gwin. He resided in Little Rock, Arkansas and Kennett, Missouri prior to moving to Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale, Pennsylvania last year. Mr. Gwin worked as a linotype operator when he lived in Arkansas, retiring in 1973. While in Arkansas, he sang tenor in his church choir and taught Sunday School. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kennett, Missouri. He belonged to the Lions Club in Kennett, Missouri and was a lifetime member of the Kennett Masonic Lodge. Upon moving to Lansdale, he attended Sancturay United Methodist Church in North Wales. Hayti was named for his maternal grandfather Hayes, who gave land original the city was built on. The city was moved from Gayoso, on the Mississippi River. He is survived by his son, Paul H. Gwin, Jr. and his wife, Rose, of Lansdale; his granddaughter, Diane Elizabeth Gwin, of Somerville, Massachusetts and borther-in-law, A.O. Goldsmith, of Kennett. A graveside service will be held Friday in Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett, Missouri at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Jan Condren officiating.

Maxine Henry
Maxine Henry, 78, of Steele, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.

Burneis Kelley
Burneis "Pete" Kelley, 85, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at his residence.
Born Nov. 27, 1915, in Waynesboro, Tenn., son of the late John and Elizabeth Shaw Kelley, he worked on the railroad and was of the Pentecostal faith.
On Jan. 22, 1938, in Kennett, he married
Luella Mae Walker, who preceded him in death on April 25, 1991.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Kelley and wife, Nona, of Holcomb, Mo., Bobby Kelley and wife, Ruth, of Malden, Dennis Kelley and wife, Sharon, of Neelyville, Mo. and Buster Kelley and wife, Joy, of Portageville, Mo.; seven daughters, Patricia Parker, Emma Bowling and husband, Gary, Brenda Neal and husband, Robin and Sue Kelley, all of Malden, Sarah Musgrave and husband, Steve, of Gideon, Mo., Trella Loyd and husband, Donnie, of Broseley, Mo. and Diane Kelley, of Parson, Tenn; one sister, Maudie Bruton and husband, Elmer, of St. Louis, Mo., a special friend, Harry Russell; 31 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Burneis Kelley, Jr., and an infant son; one daughter, Loretta Mae Norris; three grandchildren, Jamie Kelley, David Norris and Mikeal Neal; two brothers, Charlie and Bill Kelley and one sister, Lillian Nations.
Visitation wil be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 21, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at the Bradshaw Fuenral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Shoup officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Park cemetery in Malden.
Ilean Proffer
Ilean Proffer, 91, of Bangor, Mich., died Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Southhaven Community Hospital in Southhaven, Mich.
Born Feb. 20, 1910, in Senath, Mo., she was the daughter of the late James Wylie and Addie Bell Powers Moody.
She married
Floyd Proffer, who preceded her in death in 1957.
Survivors include two sisters, Utha Craft and Mary Fink, both of Bangor; four grandchildren, Sandy Krohn, Cherie Stotler and Terry and Charles Proffer, all of Bangor; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Glenn and Paul Gene Proffer; three brothers, Troy, George and Olcie Moody and one sister, Edith Moody.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Vernon Purser officiating.
Burial was in the McGrew cemetery.
Family members served as pallbearers.
O.T. Sides
O.T. Sides, of Hayti, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001.
Survivors include his wife, and two children, Delores Swan Moore and Larry Sides.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the First Baptist Church in Hayti with the Rev. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Little Prairie cemetery at Caruthersville, Mo.
Marcella Adams
Marcella Adams, 55, of Rives, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Emma Byrd
Emma Bell Byrd, 86, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at St Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Jan. 29, 1915, in Waterloo, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Ben and Gertrude Green Cash.
She married
William Byrd, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, William E. and Ben Byrd, both of Kennett and Harlan Byrd, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one daughter, Jo Beth Ennis, of Kennett; one brother, Joe Cash, of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two borhters, Tom and Jack Cash and one sister, Peggy McGhee.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 23, at the First Christian Church in Kennett.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today, Friday Nov. 23, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Gary Mayes officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery at Kennett.

Allen Cash
Allen Asberry Cash, 59, of Hornersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at his residence.
Born Feb. 16, 1942, in Dunwoody, Ga., son of the late Lee Grady and Ellie McClure Cash, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a member of the Hornersville Methodist Church, American Legion Post 362 and Hornersville Masonic Lodge.
On Sept. 5, 1961, in Hornersville, he married
Linda Nunnery, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, Bobby Cash and Jeremy Bibbs, both of Hornersville; one daughter, Lisa Bibbs and husband, Harold, of Hornersville; five brothers, Grady Cash, of Cummings, Ga., Charles and Alfred Cash, both of Dausonville, Ga., Dudley Cash, of Chamblee, Ga. and Dorris Cash, of WoodStock, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 23, at the Hornersville Methodist Church with the Revs. Mike Hargraves and Doug Clinton officiating.
Burial was in the Horner cemetery at Hornersville.
Pallbearers were Johnny and Charles Nunnery, Mike and Jimmy Biby, Tony Parker and Sam Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers were Dennis Biby, Jimmy Nunnery and Tony Beard.

Lula Macom
Lula Macom, 93, of Senath, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at the Senath Nursing Center.
Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the First United Methodist Church in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene West officiating.
Burial will follow at the Senath cemetery.
Doyel Mann
Doyel Odell Mann, 64, of Pacific, Mo., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at his residence.
Born on April 21, 1937, son of the late Euell Odell and Florence Alice Sylvia Hill Mann, he was a transport driver with Interstate Bakery and a member of the First Baptist Church in Gray Summit, Mo.
On June 17, 1956, in Caruthersville, he married
Mary Lou Payne, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include four sons, David Wayne and Steven Martin Mann, both of Pacific, John Andrew Mann, of Odessa, Mo. and Charles Eric Mann, of St. Louis, Mo.; four daughters-in-law, Angela, Pamela, Penny and Bridget and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Euell Edward and Willard Lee Mann.
Funeral services were held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Gray Summit with Pastor James R. Perdew officiating. Pallbearers were John, Steven and Eric Mann, Russell Cooper, Leon Koster and Burley Pemberton.
Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Maple cemetery in Caruthersville with the Rev. Douglas Allen Mann officiating.
Pallbearers were Jerry D., Harold, John "Bud" and Barry Mann, Bobby J. Russom and Bob Rogers.

Marcella Adams
Marcella Adams, 55, of Rives, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Sunday, Dec. 23, 1945, in Vinton, Iowa, daughter of the late William and Beulah Lungar Covington, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Murphy of Campbell, Mo., Terri McElhaney of Poplar Bluff, Mo. Theresa Adams of Bragg City, Mo.; two brothers, Ray Covington of Belmont, Iowa and Dale Covington of Colter, Iowa; two sisters, Wilma Rich of Colter, Iowa and Frances Roster of Vinton, Iowa; a companion, Junior Pritchett of Rives, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ray Adams, a sister, Lillian Lindsey and a grandson, Mitchell Hatley.
Visitation will be today, Sunday, Nov. 25, from noon until the time of service at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Steele.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele with the Rev. Robin Pritchett officiating.

Mae Clifford, 74, of Holcomb, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at her residence.
