Jimmy George Justus, 43, of Senath, Mo., died Monday, April 7, 2003, at his residence.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Church of Christ in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Church of Christ in Senath with Greg Pollock officiating.
Burial willl follow at the Senath cemetery.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath is in charge of arrangements.
Lola Lane
Lola Lane, 84, of Bessemer, Ala., formerly of Kennett, died today, Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at the University of Alabama Medical Center-West in Bessemer.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett.
Lena Marler
Lena Marler, 97, of Rector, Ark., died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Rector Health Care.
Born March 19, 1906, in Rector, daughter of the late Emerson and Laura Jane Cox, she was a homemaker, a member of the Rector Womens Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She married
J.A. Marler, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Lois Winn.
Survivors include one son, James E. Marler, of North Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters, Jewell Dean Cranford, of Rector, Eula Jean Haywood, of Piggott, Ark. and Sue Riggs, of Kennett; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-nieces.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 8, at the First United Methodist Church in Rector with the Rev. Jimmy Anderson officiating.
Burial was in the Woodland Heights cemetery at Rector.
Pallbearers were Alan and Stephen Crancer, Jeff Cranford, Charlie and Ken Haywood and Daniel Marlar.
Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
Gary Segraves
Gary Segraves, 51, of Holcomb, Mo., died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 31, 1951, in Kennett, he was the son of Sherman Segraves, of Kennett and the late Louise Alcorn Segraves.
Survivors include his wife, Janiece Segraves, of Holcomb; three sons, Gary Segraves, Jr. and Jody Segraves, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Corey Segraves and wife, Tracy, of Paragould, Ark.; one brother, Larry Segraves, of Holcomb; two sisters, Donnie McElwrath, of Holcomb and Deanna Lewis, of Corinth, Miss. and two grandchildren, Brooke Segraves and Colton Hardin.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Bill Orr officiating.
Burial was in the Stanfield cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
Pallbearers were Mike McElwrath, Tommy, Marty and Ricky Lewis, Ralph Vandiver and Tony Sturgeon.
Honorary pallbearers were Doug Pigmon and Lanny Watson.
Calvin Lance
Calvin Lance, commonly known as Frank, was born on April 28, 1924 in Kennett, Mo., to Jake and Millie Lance.
He married
Patricia McNicol, on June 29, 1946 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Flint, Mich.
He served as an active member of Holy Redeemer Parish since 1956. He worked 34 years for the Buick Motor Division and retired in 1981. His hobbies included gardening, playing golf and bowling with sons, sons-in-law, grandsons and friends. He was a founding member of the Dee Cramer Golf League. Lance was a devoted family man to his wife, four children 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren..
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; four children, Larry Lance and wife, Bethany, of Nashville, Tenn., Peggy Minzey and husband, Don, of Grand Blanc, Dianne Woolman and husband, Gary, of Davison and John Lance and wife, Shelley, of Fenton; 11 grandchildren, Stefanie and Megan Lance, Brian Minzey, Brandy Chittle, Sarah Minzey, Kenneth and Jason Minzey, Brad, Tim and Jeff Woolman and Amber Lance; five great-grandchildren, Blake and Dylan Minzey and Jack, Jacob and Jillian Chittle; two sisters, Ruth Carnell and Genevia Rogers, of Kennett; two brothers-in-law, Jack and Whelton McNicol and two sisters-in-law, Medrith Lance and Murial McNicol.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Frankie; seven brothers, Vernie, Bud, Clarence, Melvin, Chester, Joe and Lester and two sisters, Cordie and Gertrude.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Gary McInnis officiating.
Burial was in the New Calvary Catholic cemetery.
Visitation was 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 6 and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 7, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Rosary was held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Abby Park, Autism Society of Michigan, Michigan Society for the Deaf or for Masses.

Dolcie Carpenter, 88, of Dexter, Mo., died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter.

Latrena Ford
Latrena K. Ford, 36, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born May 13, 1966, in Hayti, daughter of William Ford, of Hayti and Annie Ruffin, of Freeport, Ill, she was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Freeport, Ill.
Survivors also include two children, Chazmon Brooks-Ford and Jazmon Ford, both of Hayti; three brothers, William Ford III, of Minneapolis, Minn., Ronald Ford, of Freeport and Stevie Mason, of Elkhart, Ind.; one sister, Yolanda Ford, of Freeport and grandparents, Willie B. Miles, of Hayti and John and Leaner Pogue, both of Freeport.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at the Central Baptist Church in Hayti Heights with the Rev. Tommie Allen officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Ronals Ford, Willie Haley, Joe Thomas, William Ford III, Stevie Mason and Willie Strong.

Linda White, 59, of Kennett, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at her residence.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 9, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bud Evans officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
Memorials may be made to the Third Street Baptist Church and Hospice of Kennett.
Josephine Baker
Josephine Baker, 98, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, April 7, 2003, at the Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.
Born March 25, 1905, in Marks, Miss., daughter of the late Ed and Martha Hunt, she was a member of Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church and former member of the Mission Board.
In 1921, in Marks, she married
Arthur Baker, Sr., who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Arthur Baker, Jr. of Hayti; one brother, Robert Hunt, of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildrenand great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the Mt, Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Concord, Mo..
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the Mt. Hope Church with the Rev. J.D. Foster officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mt. Carmel cemetery. Williams-Farr & Purnell Funeral Home of Howardville, Mo. is in charge of arrangements.
Arkie Bogle
Arkie T. Bogle, 93, of Senath, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.
Born Sept. 16, 1909, in Yellville, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Florence Keeling Rice.
On Dec. 25, 1926, she married
John Winthrup Bogle.
Survivors include five sons, Joe Bogle and wife, Addie, of Apopka, Fla., J.W. Bogle, of Hazelwood, Mo., Carl Bogle and wife, Marlene, of Sikeston, Mo., Wilton Bogle and wife, Wanda, of Overland, Mo. and Johnny Bogle and wife, Shirley, of Kennett; two daughters, Sue Milburn and husband, Thomas, of Senath, Mo. and Betty Anderson and husband, Charles, of Kennett; one brother, Ray Rice, of Arkansas; three sisters, Edra Young, of California, Othella Taylor, of Arkansas and Zula Hutchison, of Arizona; one son-in-law, John Lacy, of Defiance Mo.; 25 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Bonnie Lacy and Elsie Klein; one daughter-in-law, Joeanne Bogle; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, April 10, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Lovelace and Dwight Harrison officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.
Everett Carpenter
Everett Carpenter, 88, of Dexter, Mo., died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter.
Born Dec. 31, 1914, in Knobel, Ark., son of the late William Henry and Cora Montgomery Carpenter, he was retired from Continental Boiler and Sheet, owner of Quality Upholstery in Dexter and was a member of the Church of Christ in Dexter.
On Oct. 3, 1936, in Kennett, he married
Marie Brown, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one daughter, Shirley Jacques and husband, Jerry, of Dexter; two sons, Roger Carpenter, of Dexter and Everett Leon Carpenter and wife, Virginia, of Holts Summit, Mo.; one brother, Euell carpenter, of Dexter; one sister, Mae Dalton, of Campbell, Mo.; ten grandchildren, Ramona Berger, of O'Fallon, Mo., Jeff Jacques, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Scott Jacques, of West Plains, Mo., Sean Jacques, of Los Angeles, Calif., Lori Carpenter and Brenda Stone, both of Holts Summit, Leon Carpenter, Jr., of Tebbetts, Mo., Melissa Carpenter, of Vilonia, Ark., Jimmy Carpenter, of Walnut Ridge, Ark. and Amy Carpenter, of Mountain Home, Ark.; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, April 10, at the Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Ben Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn cemetery in Campbell.
