Dean Parmenter

Dean Parmenter, 79, of Kennett, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 30, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Lanning officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.

Marjorie Rollhaus

Marjorie Deane Rollhaus, 84, of Dexter, Mo., died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at Cypress Point Health Care in Dexter.

Born Nov. 3, 1918, in New Castle, Ind., daughter of Owen E. and Nettie Lucille Davis, she was a buyer for Famous Barr and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter.

On Nov. 2, 1935, in St. Louis, Mo., she married John Henry Rollhaus, who preceded her in death on June 10, 1986. She was also preceded in death by one son, Henry Owen Rollhaus and one sister, Ratsy Maganza. Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline Dunsing, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Theresa J. Harris, of Dexter; one son, John Henry Rollhaus, Jr., of Willard, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Maurine Rollhaus, of Hoene Springs, Mo.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 30, at the St. Paul's cemetery in Gerald, Mo. with Father Robert Lelbrecht officiating.

Jessie Buck

Jessie Fern Buck, 78, of Senath, Mo., died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at her residence.

Born Nov. 27, 1924, in Senath, daughter of the late Vander E. and Delpha Jane Thompson Harris, she was the Senath Dunklin County Branch Librarian, a member of the First United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. On Aug. 25, 1946, in Senath, she married Tommy Z. Buck, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Charles Buck and wife, Pam, of Springfield, Mo. and Tommy Z. Buck, Jr. and wife, Glenda, of Cordova, Tenn.; three daughters, Deborah Hill and husband, Ken, of Nashville, Ill., Rebecca Blanchard and husband, Joe, of Collierville, Tenn. and Melinda Williams and husband, Rob, of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Donald E. Harris, of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Imogene Jones and Mary Sue Slinkard, both of Senath and JoAnn Singleton, of Fredericktown, Mo.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Buford and Winston Haris and one sister, Elnora Harris.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, May 30, 2003, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the First United Methodist Church in Seanth with the Rev. Charles Buck officiating.

Burial will follow at the Senath cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.

Mollie Cross

Mollie Louise Cross, 79, of Kennett, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at her residence.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Wright officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.

Imogene Emerson

Imogene Emerson, 86, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, May 28, at the Ridgeview Nursing Center in Malden.

Born Aug. 20, 1916, in Greenway, Ark., daughter of the late Emery Albert and Dora Mae Adams Daniels, she was a medical technician for Ridgeview Nursing Center. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden.

On April 27, 1940, in Malden, she married S.E. "Dutch" Emerson, who preceded her in death on May 14, 1966. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Ann Lester. Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Hampton, of Malden; three grandchildren, Teri Kratzer, of Malden, Jeff Hampton, of Copperas Cove, Texas and James Hampton, of Columbus, Miss.; five great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow at the Park cemetery in Malden.

Marguerite Faughn

Marguerite Faughn, 94, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.

Sammie Newman

Sammie Lee Newman, 67, of Senath, Mo., died Sunday, May 25, 2003, at his residence.

Born April 15, 1936, in the New Hope Community near Senath, he was a licensed Assemblies of God Minister with the Southern Missouri district and was pastor of the Holcomb Assembly of God Church in Holcomb, Mo.

On Dec. 27, 1952, in Paragould, Ark., he married Wanda Mae Cross, who survives of the home.

Survviors also include three sons, Fred Newman and wife, Patricia, of Dyersburg, Tenn., Randy Newman and wife, Amanda, of Kennett and Paul Newman and wife, Kristina, of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, J.W. Newman, of Yarbro, Ark. and Ronnie Newman, of Senath; two sisters, Barbara Faughn, of Paragould, Ark. and Glenda Bowman, of Lexington, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Bradley, Lindsey, Mandy and Synthia Newman and two step-grandchildren, Bradley Blecha and Rechel Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jake Alexander Newman and two brothers, Jessy Lee and James Willie Newman. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Assembly of God Church in Senath with the Revs. Brain Johnson and Wayland Tom officiating.

Burial was in the Senath cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike Huckelberry, Randal, Greg and Lonnie Dale Gibson, Gary Lynn Newman and Gene Smith.

Curtis Parks, 70, of Qulin, Mo., died today, Friday, May 30, 2003, at his residence.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Landess Funeral Home of Cambpell, Mo.

William Pyles

William Richard Pyles, 60, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at his residence.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Arbyrd.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, at the Calvary Full Gospel Church in Cardwell, Mo. with the Rev. Leland Dement officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lulu cemetery in Senath, Mo.

Faye Snow

Faye Pauline Snow, 77, of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Born Aug. 20, 1925, in Glennonville, Mo., daughter of the late Van and Sadie Vincent Tompkins, she was an operator for the telephone company.

In 1975, she married Herbert Snow, who preceded her in death on May 11, 1990. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Lorene O'Neal and four brothers, Randolph, R.E., Cecil and Jesse Tompkins.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Reed and wife, Ruth, of Bernie, Mo. and Roger Read and wife, Pat, of Glennonville, Mo.; one sister, Geraldine Corder, of Malden, Mo.; one brother, Glen Tompkins and wife, Mary, of Florrisant, Mo.; four grandchildren, Vance Read, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Bridgett Anderson, of Campbell, Shawn Reed, of Puxico, Mo. and Kim Read, of Glennonville and five great-grandchildren, Derek, Whitney and Dalton Anderson, Calen Read and Brooke Reed.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. today, May 31, at the Memorial Park cemetery in Malden.

Samuel Brown

Samuel G. Brown, 68, of Finley, Tenn., died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at Wesley Nursing Center in Dyersburg, Tenn.

Born June 24, 1934, in Kennett, he was a son of the late Dewey and Gladys Kirby Brown. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Lee Brown.

Survivors include two sons, John Brown of Finley and Keith Brown of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Floyd Brown of Piggott, Ark.; one sister, Hency Smith of Bloomfield, Mo. and one grandchild, Kyle Spencer Brown of Caruthersville, Mo.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. today, Sunday, June 1, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Mack Daniels officiating.

Burial in Liberty cemetery at Caruth, Mo.

Pallbearers are John Hicks, Jeff Hall, Danny Lacy, Charlie Brown, Randy Brock and Jerry Brock.

Mollie Cross

Mollie Louise Cross, 79, of Kennett, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at here home.

Born Tuesday, Aug. 7, 1923, at Kenning, Ark., a daughter of the late Henry and VeraMae Cagle Delaney, she was a homemaker.

She married Wilbur Lee Wright who preceded her in death March 1966; Homer "JR" Hall who preceded her in death in 1977. She married Edward Cross in 1984. He preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Benny and Robert Wright

Survivors include six sons, Jimmy Carl Wright of Gastonia, N.C.; Floyd Wright and Wayne Wright, both of Kennett; Donald Wright of Little Rock, Ark., Freddie Wright of Higginson, Ark. and Michael Wright of Piggott, Ark.; 23 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, June 1, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Jimmy Wright officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Marguerite Faughn

Marguerite Selena Faughn, 94, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Born Sept. 14, 1908, at Campbell, Mo., a daughter of the late Charles Ernest and Amorillious Vaughn Porter, she was a homemaker and member of the Campbell General Baptist Church.

On April 28, 1928, in Campbell, she married Oran Ottney Faughn who preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1978.

Survivors include two sons, David Faughn of Campbell and Jack Faughn of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Porter and Owen Porter and three sisters, Lavesta Slankard, Marie Sanders and Ola Cruse.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Darren Baker officiating.

Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery in Campbell.
