Keith Fuller

Keith Dewayne Fuller, 45, of Hayti, Mo., died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in Kennett.

Born Nov. 5, 1957, in Caruthersville, Mo., son of Cora L. Fuller and the late Floyd Robinson, he was employed at Wal-Mart, in Kennett and was a worker for Community Living Opportunity.

He married LeGatha Stigger, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Randall and wife, Keiwanda and Terrell; one daughter, Yolanda; four sisters, Joyce Watts and husband, Clazell, of Detroit, Mich., Malinda, of Benton Harbor, Mich. and LaWanda Cates and husband, John and Mekessia Alexander, all of Hayti; several grandchildren and step-brothers and step-sisters.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Kerry Fuller.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the True Light Church of God in Hayti with Pastor James McAdams officiating.

Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Wendell Lockridge, Jerry Borders, Melvin Lemons, Archie Rboinson, Stanley Smith and Daniel Borders.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.

Edith Hicks

Edith Mae Hicks, 78, of the Buckeye Community, near Leachville, Ark., died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born in Arbyrd, Mo., daughter of the late Tom and Ethel Faulkner Dollins, she was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church.

She married Raymond "Farmer" Hicks, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Larry Hicks and wife, Cherry, of Leachville; two brothers, Dow Dollins, of Edenburg, Texas and Ralph Dollins, of Houston, Texas; one sister, Essie Pace, of St. Louis, Mo. and one granddaughter, Kristie Sanders, of Leachville.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 3, at the New Providence Baptist Church near Leachville with the Rev. Monroe Baldwin officiating.

Burial was in the Horner cemetery at Hornersville, Mo.

Howard Funeral Service of Leachville was in charge of arrangements.

Alice Irions

Alice Marie "Granny" Irions, 84, of Hayti, Mo., died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at the Pemiscot Nursing Home in Hayti.

Born April 29, 1919, in Crawfordville, Ark., daughter of the late John Calvin and Flossie Harris Sloan and step-daughter of Irma Ingram, she was a homemaker.

On Nov. 28, 1924, in Caruthersville, she married William Thomas "Bill" Irions, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lyles Sloan and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Sloan.

Survivors include seven children, Billy Calvin Irions, of Altus, Okla., James Marvin Irions, of Loves Park, Ill., Carlice Barnett, of Oklahoma, City, Okla., Frances Johnson and Joyce Ellison, both of Caruthersville, John Thomas Irions, of Sikeston, Mo. and Bobby Gene Irions, of Hayti; one brother, John Franklin Sloan, of Antioch, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Don Reel and Mike McDaniel officiating.

Burial was in the Little Prairie cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

Willie Nix

Willie Mae Nix, 92, of Senath, Mo., died Saturday, May 31, 2003.

Born Nov. 2, 1910, in Obion County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William A. and Lessie Chapel Rudd.

On Dec. 11, 1948, in Arkansas, she married Earnest Cleo Nix, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Jimmie Nix and wife, Diane, of Rutland, Ill.; four daughters, Glenda Moser and husband, Lonzo and Barbara Butler, all of Senath, Sharon Blocker and husband, Gerald, of Union, Mo. and Jo Ann Arndt and husband, Mike, of Rutland; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Freman Nell; 15 brothers and sisters and one great-grandchild, Ian Pelster.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, June 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Wayland Tom oficiating.

Burial was in the Senath cemetery.

Pallbearers were Michael Arndt, Shawn and Roy Bocker, Randal Nixon, Christopher Jenkins and Lennie Duncan.

Dorothy Roddy

Dorothy J. Roddy, 85, of Kennett, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at her residence.

Born Sept. 6, 1916, in Boone County, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Alexander and Nancy Anne Grant Hunt.

On June 2, 1946, she married James Edgar Roddy, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Vic, Bill and Estil Hunt and seven sisters, Annie Fugit, Marie Ambrose, Alma Poe, Louise Coleman, Leola Jacobs, Wilmoth Belcher and Brooksie Ashlock.

Survivors include three daughters, E. Jane Wicker and husband, Bob, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Margaret Anne Andrews and husband, Scott, of Kennett and Nancy Susan Workman and husband, Del, of Rocheport, Mo.; one sister, Grace Wilhite, of Columbia, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Jada, Lizzie and Del Workman, Fleming Wiley, Laurie, Henry, Grace and Annie Andrews and one great-grandchild, Christie Workman.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at the Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, at the Memorial Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park cemetery in Columbia.

Clarence Beck

Clarence Loyd Beck, 87, of Bragg City, Mo., formerly of Brookland, Ark., died Monday, June 2, 2003. at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 29, 1915, son of the late Mike and Nellie Link Beck, he was a carpenter and a member of the Rogers Chapel Church of Nazarene.

Survivors include one sister, Aileen Loyd, of Bragg City; one step-daughter, Bernice Davis, of Norfolk, Va. and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and his first wife, Anna Mae Woods Beck.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 4, at the Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at the Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home Chapel with Don Crawford officiating.

Pallbearers are the nephews.

Burial will follow at the Jonesboro Memorial Park cemetery.

Barbara Mason

Barbara Sue Mason, 53, of Bernie, Mo., died Monday, June 2, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born June 20, 1949, in Broseley, Mo., daughter of the late George D. and Oretha C. Gilpin Trout, she was a homemaker and a member of the Sugar Tree General Baptist Church in Bernie.

On Dec. 25, 1966, in Broseley, she married Jim Buck Mason, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Danny Mason, of Bernie; one daughter, Tracy Parson, of Bernie; one step-son, James Calvert, of Covington, La.; three brothers, Dean Trout, of Malden, Mo., Kenny Trout, of Bernie and Rick Trout, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one sister, Pat McCollough, of Wappapello, Mo. and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 4, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Joe Ogelvie and David Gargas officiating.

Burial will follow at the Bernie cemetery.

Martha Rickman

Martha "Jimmie" Rickman, 87, of Bernie, Mo., died Saturday, May 24, 2003, at the Malden Nursing Center in Malden, Mo.

Born Aug. 16, 1915, in Bernie, daughter of the late Bedford and Lora Elizabeth McNeil Tucker, she was retired from Hawley's in St. Charles, Ill and a member of the Bernie Christian Church.

On Dec. 13, 1936, in Piggott, Ark., she married William Edward Rickman, who preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1945. She was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny Rickman; one brother, John Tucker and two sisters, Beulah Lay and Bonnie Tucker.

Survivors include two sons, Don Rickman, of Malden and Ferrell Rickman, of Ivins, Utah; three daughters, Helen D. Stull, of Malden, Bonnie Blanchard, of St. Charles and Edna Tindell, of Bernie; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Dexter, Mo. with the Rev. Willy Butler officiating.

Watkins & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Christine Smith

Christine Ann Yeast Smith, 50, died Saturday, May 31, 2003. Born in Macomb, Ill., she was the daughter of the late John O. and Harriet F. Dixon-Yeast.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Smith, formerly of this area; one daughter, Amy Marle, of Kansas City, Mo.; one son, Andrew Joseph, of Kansas City; one sister, Jackie Riggens and husband, Larry, of Carthage, Ill. and two brothers, Davis Yeast and wife, Sally and John Paul Yeast and wife, Jeannine, all of St. Louis, Mo.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Children's Mercy Hospital Cancer Foundation, 2401 Gillham Rd., Kansas City, Mo. 64108.

Heritage Funeral Home of Parkville, Mo. is in charge of arrangements.

William Wayne

William Lee Wayne, 69, of Clarkton, Mo., died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at his residence.

Born July 22, 1933, at Kennett, son of the late Raymond Lee and Lola Dean Thornton Wayne, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a carpenter and a member of the Solid Rock Church in Clarkton. On Aug. 13, 1954, in Kennett, he married Yvonnie Fisher, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Charles Lee Wayne and wife, Sheila Denise, of Rockaway Beach, Mo. and Brian Lynn Wayne, of Clarkton; two daughters, Bonnie Sue Mask and husband, Carroll Dale and Shelia Ann Zimmerman and husband, Wade, all of Malden, Mo.; one brother, Roy Wayne and wife, JoAnn, of Clarkton; three sisters, Wilda Gurlen and Helen Smith and husband, Butch, all of St. Louis, Mo. and Barbara Raines and husband, Patrick, of Mississippi; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Billie Joe Wayne, one granddaughter, Stephanie Nicole Zimmerman and two sisters, Carol Childress and Margaret Barber.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 4, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Danny King officiating.

Burial was in the Stanfield cemetery at Clarkton.
