Silas Cuff

Silas Cuff, 96, of Kennett, died Monday, June 30, 2003, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Born Sept. 20, 1906, in Waverly, Tenn., son of the late John Henry and Blake Elizabeth Cowart Cuff, he was a member and deacon of the Friendship Baptist Church and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge.

On Jan. 10, 1934, he married Helen Stumpf, who preceded him in death on Feb. 19, 2002. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, John D., David and Larry Cuff and two sisters, Poad Elizabeth Nipper and Hattie Cuff.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Paul Cuff, of Kennett and one brother, Bobby Lee Cuff, of St. Charles, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Revs. Dale Rickman and Doug Clinton officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were L.C. Cuff, Henry Gee, Phil and George R. Gurley, Glen Earl Harris and Don Davis.

Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Masterson, Dean Tucker, Ricky Burdin, Darrell Wheeler, Gene Jackson, Tommy Branum, Joe Lewellyng, James Warrington, Jerris Don Harris, Delbert Hawkins, Gene Watts, Jack Lemonds, J.C. Cuff, Bob Holder, Dallis Draffin, Jerry Hicks, Phil D. Gurley and Larry Hartsell. Charles Morrison

Charles Morrison, 76, of Rector, Ark., formerly of Clarkton, Mo., died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden, Mo.

Archie Saltzman

Archie Saltzman, 86, of Campbll, Mo., died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.

Garry Wagoner

Garry Wagoner, 60, of Malden, Mo., died today, Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Funral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden.

Cora Young

Cora Lee Young, 73, of Bragg City, Mo., died Monday, June 30, 2003, at Holcomb, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.

Charlesteen Roe

Charlesteen Roe, daughter of the late John Curt and Bessie Benton Roe, was born August 22, 1937, in Arbyrd, Missouri and passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at the St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 65 years.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Dean Roe and wife, Tonda and Jessie Wayne Roe, all of Paragould, Arkansas; one brother, Dempsey Wayne Roe, of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Nelgin Baugh, of Arbyrd and Edwanda Glisson, of Starke, Florida; four grandchildren, Justin, Andrew, Connor and Peyton Roe; one niece, Lillie Ann Roe, of Arbyrd; two great-nephews, Matthew and Josh Roe, of the home; one great-niece, Amy Bogard, of Marmaduke, Arkansas; one great-great-niece, Shelby Nicole and two great-great-nephews, Josh and Jagen.

Charlesteen is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, J.B., Leo and Pat Roe.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2003, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Arbyrd.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2003, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Arbyrd with the Rev. Vernon Purser officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lulu cemetery. Serving as pallbearers: Justin, Andy, Joshua and Matthew Roe, Larry Ludwick and Larry Ludwick, Jr.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd was in charge of arrangements.

Estella Earnheart

Estella Earnheart, 90, of Malden, Mo., died today, Thursday, July 3, 2003, at the Malden Nursing Care Center.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden.

Arley Martin

Arley Carl Martin, 62, of Senath, Mo., died Monday, June 30, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Sept. 20, 1940, in Eufaula, Okla., he was the son of the late Wilburn and Floye Flood Martin.

Survivors include one son, Shannon Martin and wife, Shunta, of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Doyle and Bill Martin, of Kennett, Bob Martin, of Senath and Ernest Martin, of Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Maxine Pender, of Kennett and one grandson, Rodney Rice.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Jack Martin and one sister, Juandina Dunigan.

Graveside services were held today, Thursday, July 3, at the Senath cemetery with the Rev. Charles Avants officiating.

Pallbearers were Glen, Billy, Leland and Shannon Martin, Johnny Tenison and Chris Coleman.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.

Bernita Milliken

Bernita T. Milliken, 97, of Kennett, died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Born May 31, 1906, in Caruthersville, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Commodore and Carrie Matthews Nations.

On Oct. 4, 1925, in South Bend, Ind., she married Wallace L. Milliken, who preceded her in death in 1953. She was also preceded in death by two sons, John Doyle and Robert Wallace Milliken.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Joy Milliken, of South Bend; one niece, Norma Robertson, of Caruthersville and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 3, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, Mo. with the Rev. Jim Mousie officiating.

Burial was in the Little Prairie cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Richard Ashbaugh, Ed Adams, Herbert DeWeese, Vernon Dobbins, Pete Robertson and Lavanda White.

Charles Morrison

Charles Richard Morrison, 76, of Batesville, Ark., formerly of Rector, Ark. and Clarkton, Mo., died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville.

Born March 16, 1927, in Peach Orchard, Mo., son of the late Otto and Ida Kynion Morrison, he was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one sister-in-law, Beatrice Morrison, of Rector; two nephews, Carl Jackson, of Stillman Valley, Ill. and Gerold Jackson, of Marmaduke, Ark. and three nieces, Maxine Hargis, of Bancroft, Mich., Charlene Wilson, Loves Park, Ill. and Linda Pollard, of South Fulton, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy, Herbert, Bill and Odis Morrison and two sisters, Agnes Gales and Dorothy Babb.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield cemetery in Clarkton.

Archie Saltzman

Archie Saltzman, 86, of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Born Dec. 4, 1916, in Van Buren, Ark., son of the late Fred M. and Callie May White Saltzman, he attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell and was a member of the Four Mile Masonic Lodge No. 212 A.F. & A.M. in Campbell.

On March 23, 1935, in Piggott, Ark., he married Pauline Gardner, who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Linda Joyce Saltzman Hudson, of Princeton, Ky. and Pamela Kay Deckard and husband, Doug, of St. Francis, Ark.; six grandchildren, Stan and Lydell Hudson, Beth and Jason Saltzman and Bradley and Brent Beckard; seven great-grandchildren, Barkley, Ben, Josh and Kristy Hudson, Megan and Logan Saltzman and Braden Deckard and one step-great-grandson, Rowdy Frederick.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Lydell and Archie Byron Saltzman.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, July 3, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. July 4, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Wood officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodlawn cemetery in Campbell.

Garry Wagoner

Garry Dale Wagoner, 60, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born July 19, 1942, in Malden, son of the late Raymond and Martha Bess McCoin Wagoner, he was a former member of the Missouri National Guard and a truck driver.

Survivors include one son, Bradley Wagoner, of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Tonja Holt, of Kansas City, Mo. and Shannon Masiak, of Sterling, Mo.; two sisters, Pat Choat, of Festus, Mo. and Magoline Walker, of Malden and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Larry Wagoner and one sister, Dorothy Wagoner.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, July 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rosewood cemetery in Malden.

Cora Young

Cora Lee Young, 73, of Bragg City, Mo., died Monday, June 30, 2003, at Holcomb, Mo.

Born April 4, 1930, in Nava Winston, Ala., she was the daughter of the late William and Georgia Morgin Short.

She married Delbert Young, who preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1987. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Short and one sister, Lucille Bone.

Survivors include one son, Harold Young, of Newbern, Tenn.; one daughter, Sondra Hoxworth and husband, Dennis, of Tiptonville, Tenn.; six brothers, G.W. and Jack Short, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo., L.V. Short, of Murphysboro, Ky., Carl Short, of Marble Hill, Mo., Emmitt Short, of Collinsville, Ill. and Robert Short, of Blytheville, Ark.; six sisters, Peggy Dickerson, of Weaverville, N.C., Barbara Harris, of South Fulton, Tenn., Linda Fay Kniker and Katie Sue Robertson, both of Paragould, Ark., Maxine Harrison, of Almond Beach, Fla. and Mary Lee Highnote, of Baymonet, Ala.; two grandchildren, Wayne Elliott, of Holcomb and Melissa Young, of Caruthersville, Mo. and two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Alyson Elliott.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, July 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Richard Luye, Wayne Kincade, Wendell Hoskins, Don and Terry Tomlinson and Jimmie Strother.
