Sandy Kay Estes, 30, of Kennett, died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at Three Rivers North Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 22, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Spencer Furby officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.
Mary Greenwell
Mary Gurley Greenwell, 74, of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, July 18, 2003, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Sept. 15, 1928, in Dorsey, Miss., daughter of the late Lema Summers and Elmer Clarence Gurley, Sr., she was an employee of the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital and a member of the Glass Memorial Baptist Church east of Hayti.
On Dec. 3, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married
Barney Greenwell, who preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1991. She was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Clarence Greenwell; one sister, Sybil Howell and five brothers, Hubert, James, Dud, E.C., Jr. and Bill Gurley.
Survivors include one son, Joseph H. Greenwell and wife, Linda, of Ridgely, Tenn.; two daughters, Shirley King and husband, Thomas, of Dyersburg, Tenn. and Sharon Gurley, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, Clarence Gurley and wife, Betty, of Hayti; six grandchildren, Andrea Vazquez, of Ardimore, Okla., Michael Anderson, of Tulsa, Okla., Lara Beth Anderson, of Houston, Texas, Greg Garner, of Hayti and Melissa Greenwell and Mary Beth Murphy, both of Poplar Bluff and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 21, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Revs. Mike Nealey and Kris Underwood officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Malcolm Babb, Phillip Shelly and Joe, Dennis, Aaron and Dylan Gurley.
Honorary pallbearers were Gary, Keith, Kenneth, Tommy, Ricky, Steve and Eddie Gurley, Ronnie Howell, Ricky Smith, Greg Garner and Michael Anderson.
Elbert Miller
Elbert Miller, 70, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Monday, July 21, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden, Mo.
Robert Patton
Robert L. Patton, 84, of Kennett, died Monday, July 21, 2003, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Willie H. Johnson, Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
Leonard Sebree
Leonard "Shorty" Franklin Sebree, 89, of Kennett, died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 7, 1914, in Bragg City, Mo., son of the late William Fred and Julia Johnson Sebree, he was a member and deacon of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He married
Hazel Marie Privett, who preceded him in death on July 10, 1980. He was also preceded in death by one son, Glenn Harold Sebree and brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Bill W. Sebree and wife, Susan, of Tampa, Fla. and Jack Sebree and wife, Dee, of Wilmington, N.C.; one daughter, Martha James, of Kennett; one half-brother, Pete James, of Boone, Ark.; two half-sisters, Ruth Anderson and Nova Rutherford, both of Kennett and Ponda Lou Crawford, of Malden, Mo.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Boyd officiating.
Burial was in the Maple cemetery at Caruthersville, Mo.
Pallbearers were Larry Hogan, Douglas James, Billy Privett, Jackie Callis, Ronnie Crittendon and Tommy Price.

Born Sept. 23, 1972, in Kennett, she was the daughter of Barbara Burke and the late James Edgin.
On Feb. 14, 2000, in Kennett, she married
Billy Don Estes, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include her mother. Barbara Fletcher and husband, Wayne, of Kennett; two sons, Michael and Jonathon Edgin, both of Kennett and one brother, Chris Edgin, of Kennett.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia Mask.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were B.J. Clark, Brandon Moore, Dennis Nevill, Greg and Ron Wilson and Timmy Stone.

Sandy Johns
Sandy Lee Johns, 92, of Jonesboro, Ark., formerly of Steele, Mo., died Monday, July 21, 2003, at Rose Skilled Care in Jonesboro.
Born March 29, 1911, in Tennessee, he was the son of the late Carlos and Florence Privett Johns, he was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ in Steele.
He married
Minnie Maude Cope, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Johns and wife, Bonnie, of Wauchula, Fla. and Billy L. Johns and wife, Connie, of Jonesboro; two daughters, Iris Ladd and husband, Gene, of Jonesboro and Elizabeth Fry and husband, David, of Starkville, Miss.; two brothers, O'Neal Johns, of Jackson, Tenn. and Lee Jackson Johns, of Alamo, Tenn.; five sisters, Pauline Vida, of Farmington, Mich., Lillie Pritchett, of Friendship, Tenn., Mattie Bell Ray, of Jackson, Lorina Johns, of Long Beach, Calif. and Vera Brown, of Steele; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 23, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at the Church of Christ in Steele with John Mundy officiating.
Burial will follow at the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens in Caruthersville, Mo.
J.W. Porter
J.W. Porter, 73, of Portageville, Mo., died Monday, July 21, 2003 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born January, 10, 1930 in Lake City, Ark., son of the late James Williams and Gladys Edna Meeker Porter, he was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a retired jet aircraft mechanic.
On September 15, 1958, he married
Gladys Doris Stewart, who preceded him in death on September 7, 1989. In 1991, he married
Mildred Leonard, who survives of the home.
Survivors include three sons, Mackalee Pratt of Ottawa, Ill. and Robert and Paul Pratt, both of Dexter, Mo.; seven daughters, Ruby Padgett, Margaret Weisserman and Peggy Dickerson, all of Middleburg, Fla., Cynthia Hartley of Bernie, Mo., Lyn Sipes of Dexter, Sharon Weiss of Philadelphia, Penn., and Jessica Voss of Dexter; one brother, Carl Lee Porter, of Osceola, Ark.; one sister, Peggy Deforr, of Bakersfield, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many step-children; step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 24, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 25, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Heaton officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bernie cemetery in Bernie, Mo.
Jackie Whittington
Jackie L. Whittington, 68, of Cooter, Mo., died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at his residence.
Born Aug. 4, 1934, in Denton, Mo., son of the late Emery and Agness Irene Siegler Whittington, he was a farm worker and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Steele, Mo.
On Dec. 24, 1955, he married
Wanda Stokes, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Bobby Whittington and wife, Linda, of Holland, Mo.; one daughter, Kay Fowler and husband, Jerry, of Cooter; one brother, Leon Whittington, of Van Wert, Ohio; one sister, Flora Bosworth, of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandsons, Jeremy Fowler, of Cooter and Zachary Whittington, of Holland and one granddaughter, Morgan Whittington, of Holland.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Andrews, Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mitchell cemetery in Cooter.
Mickey Riddle
Mickey Keith Riddle, 42, of Doniphan, Mo., formerly of Holcomb, Mo., died Sunday, July 20, 2003 at his home.
Born May 20, 1961, in Kennett, Mo., he was the son of the late Willard and Lendell Riddle of Holcomb.
He graduated from Holcomb High School in 1979. He attended Southeast Missouri State University for six years, graduating with a Masters Degree in Psychology and was working with troubled youths as a therapist. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include a step-son, Alex Gould; three brothers, Jarrell Riddle, Sr. and wife, Curley, of Holcomb, Gary Riddle and wife, Jonni, of Meridian, Miss. and Randy Riddle and wife, Debby, of Bainbridge, Ga.; one sister, Gloria Bratcher, of Kennett; seven nephews and two nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Regenia Riddle and Georgia Faye Wilburn.
He will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at the Sumach cemetery.
Edwards Funeral Home of Doniphan is in charge of arrangements.
Porcial Jansson
Porcial L. Jansson, 80, of Kennett, formerly of Fletcher, Okla., died today, Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Robbins Funeral Home in Fletcher.
Keith Keller
Keith Keller, 45, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, July 21, 2003, at his residence.
Born Sept. 26, 1957, in Hayti, son of Dorothy Gilmore Keller and the late Reese Keller, he was a farmer, gardener and did lawn work. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hayti and the N.R.A.
On Nov. 21, 1980, in Hayti, he married
Carol Ann McLemore, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one daughter, Kimberly Ann Keller, of Hayti; one son, Ronald Keith (Ronnie) Keller, of Hayti; his mother, Dorothy Keller, of Hayti; one brother, Wayne Keller and wife, Cathy, of Hayti; one sister, Brenda Keller, of Hayti and one grandson, Marquan Tyreese Bogan, of Hayti.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hayti with the Rev. John Keel officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Ron Birmingham, Reggie Bunn, Terry Evans, Eric and Jim Tilmon and Bob Tabor.
Honorary pallbearer was John Taylor. John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
