Hazel Beatrice Fuller, 73, of Campbell, Mo., died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born June 29, 1928, in Sheridan, Wyo., daughter of the late Chester Earl and Hazel Nellie Marks Long, she was a retired minister credentialed with Assemblies of God Headquarters at Springfield, Mo., member of the Kennett Section and a LPN. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Campbell and the General Council Assemblies of God.
On Feb. 9, 1944, in Vancouver, WA., she married
Charles Leroy Fuller, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include four daughters, Sharron and Judy Willis and Debby Talcott all of Campbell, Mo. and Marjory Foster, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one son, Charles Earl Fuller, of Edwards, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one sister, Gloria Meyer, of Warsaw, Mo.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Long, and one sister, Muriel Longfellow.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 5, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dale Shoup and Larkin Enlow officiating.

Richard Griffin
Richard C. Griffin, 43, of Caruthersville, Mo.; died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at the Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.
Born April 30, 1958, in Dyersburg, Tenn., son of the late Hazel B. and Mattie Lee Culipher Griffin, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Caruthersville, and was employed by Noranda Aluminum.
On August 16, 1991, in Hayti, Mo., he married
Cheryl Terrie Smith, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two daughters, Laura Lee Chambers, of Dyersburg, Tenn. and Caleigh JoAnn Griffin, of Caruthersville; one brother, Calvin Griffin of Dyersburg and two sisters, Peggy Jones, of Dyersburg and Deloris Ayers, of Ripley, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie and William and one sister, Diane.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. George Spransy officiating.
Burial was in the Maple cemetery.
Pallbearers were Greg Moss, Chris Powell, Jerry and Lee Bethune, Jeremy Woods, Terry Cunningham, Lee Smith and Landon Kersey.
The H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
John Owens, Jr.
John S. Owens, Jr., 87, of Kennett, Mo., formerly of the Sumach community, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 12, 1914, in Kennett, he was the son of the late John S. Owens Sr. and Annie Barham McHaney.
On July 3, 1938, he married
Lorene Shipman, who survives of the home.
Survivors also inlclude a son, Bill Owens, of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Ann Williams of Baxter Springs, Kan.; two half-brothers, Flake L. McHaney of Kennett and Robert H. McHaney of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett with the Rev. J.C. Joyner officiating.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
Geraldine Pearson
Geraldine Pearson, 86, of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, March 1, 2002, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.
Born June 7, 1915, in Malden, Mo., daughter of the late John and Rosa Taylor Boner, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and former member of the Rebekah Lodge and a member of the General Baptist Church in Campbell.
On Nov. 28, 1934, in Malden, she married
Arthur "Ott" E. Pearson, who preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1999. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Dee Boner; one half brother, Buddy "J.E." Hunt and one half sister, Edna Hunt.
Survivors include four sons, Rick Pearson, of Campbell, Bob Pearson, of Dexter, KY., Tom and Jerry Pearson, both of Risco, Mo.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with Pastor Earl D. Dell officiating.
Burial was in the Park cemetery at Malden, Mo.
James Rowland
James O. Rowland, 84, of Kennett, Mo., died Sunday. March 3, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 5, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the Abiding Peace Temple Church in Kennett with the Revs John Keel and Don Slatton officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
Alva Thomas
Alva Lee "Happy" Thomas, 71, of Rector, Ark., died Sunday, March 3, 2002.
Born Aug. 10, 1930, in Rector, Ark., he was the son of Ott and Hinda Thomas, of Rector.
Survivors also include his wife, Peggy Thomas; two daughters, Wilma Osbon, of Paragould, Ark. and Judy Thomas, of Oakdale, Calif.; one step daughter, Mary Pribow, of Ashippun, Wis.; three step sons, Keith Graves of Jonesboro, Ark., Mike Graves, of Marmaduke, Ark. and Larry Jones, of Bay City, Texas; four grandchildren, nine atep-grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 5 at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the Mitchell Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Gould officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove cemetery at Rector.
Pallbearers are Keith and Mike Graves, Tommy and Daren Jordan.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ruel Watson, Dewayne Cole, Gene Castleman and Bill Thomas.
Moody Waldrop
Moody C. Waldrop, 86, of Dexter, Mo., died Friday, March 1, 2002, at the Cypress Point Health Care in Dexter.
Born Jan. 13, 1916, in Braggadocio, Mo., son of the late Wilce and Dora Faircloth Waldrop, he was a member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed by the State of Missouri in the Dietary Department prior to his retirement.
Survivors include one sister, Carie Teeter, of Dexter; one niece, Jeanette Smith, of Dexter and a cousin, Ethel Terrell, of Braggadocio, Mo.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Boyd officiating.
Burial was in the Maple cemetery.
Pallbearers were Noel W. Dudley, Charles A. Faris, Tommy L. Crowe, Joe A. Crain, William Waldrop and Harold Faircloth.
Honorary Pallbearer was Reggie Green.

Harry Fairchild Jr.
Harry Augusta "June" Fairchild, Jr., 76, of Memphis, Tenn., died Monday, March 4, 2002, at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Born Jan. 16, 1926, in Pocahontas, Ark., son of the late Harry Augusta and Mazie Davis Fairchild, Sr., he was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII. He worked for a Kennett radio station but retired from WMC TV station in Memphis and was also a Ham Radio Operator and a musician.
Survivors include his wife, Goldie Fairchild, of Memphis; two sons, Larry Fairchild, and wife, Pat, and Kenny Fairchild and wife, Lorilynn, all of Memphis; one daughter, Debbie Bone, and husband, Danny, of Sandrock, Al.; three grandsons, Steve Fairchild, of Myrtle Beach, SC., Jeff Fairchild, of Las Vagas, NV, and David Bone, of Leesburg, Ala.; four grandaughters, Lori, Kimberly, Kayla and Amanda all of Memphis; five great grandchildren; seven sisters, Dephane Bullington, of Corning, Ark., Nona Penny and Rosie Howard, of Paragould, Ark., Shirley Sparling, of Neogo, Ill., Wanda Pete, of Cash, Ark., Josephine Vines, of Evening Star, Ark. and Patricia Arnold, of Bowling Green, Ky. and three brothers, Ulys Fairchild, of Knobel, Ark., A.W. Fairchild, of Batesville, Ark. and Tom Fairchild, of Paragould.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today Wednesday, March 6, at the Ermert Funeral Home in Corning.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Arnold officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bond cemetery in Knobel.
J.D. Henson
J.D. Henson, 79, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at the Pemiscot Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.
Born Jan. 14, 1923, in Burnsville, Miss., son of the late John William and Lizzie Brown Henson, he was a farmer and employed by Sinclair Industries in St. Louis.
On March 2, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., he married
Virginia Sanders, who preceded him in death on June 21, 1999.
Survivors include four sons, Michael, David, Jay Dee Henson all of Caruthersville, Mo. and Stephen Henson, of Paragould, Ark.; five daughters, Elizabeth Christensen, Salt Lake City, Utah, Patricia Ann Brown, Potosi, Mo., Brenda Gibson, Rosemary Barnett and Janet Marie Henson, all of Caruthersville; 16 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersvillle, Mo., with the Rev. Anthony Stepp officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donald R. Fowler, Chad Brown, George H. Brown III, Donnie and Paul Bowman and Michael Carroll.
