Maurice Olds
Maurice Olds, 87, of Kennett, died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born April 23, 1914, in Stanford Ark, son of the late Tom and Sarah Crawford Olds, he was a member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett and Kennett City Clerk until retirement in 1984.
On Dec. 31, 1936, in Senath, Mo., he married
Annanette Olds, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Charles Maurice Olds, of Odessa, Fla.; one daughter,Linda Kelley and husband, Tommy, of Kennett; one step-brother, Wade Norris, of Paragould, Ark.; four grandchildren, Leah Doughty, of Huntington, Ind., Charles Maurice Olds Jr., of Odessa, Kris Kelley, of Kennett and Kyle Kelly, of Nashville, Tenn., and three great-grandchildren, Sam, Luke and Jack Doughty of Huntington.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, March 14, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Revs. Spencer Furby and Gary Mayes officiating.
Burial was in the Senath cemetery in Senath.
Pallbearers were Gary Hogan, Tommy Lyons, Jim Storey, Mike Hunter, Richard Rice and Kevin Sullivan.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Archer, A.L. Kelley Jr., Alvin Haywood, Willis Kelley, Benny Merguie, and theElders and Deacons of Slicer Street Church of Christ.
Memorials may be made to Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett.
Mable Reeves
Mable Pauline Reeves, 76, of Kennett, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Sept. 13, 1925, in Missouri, daughter of the late Walter Franklin and Jane Williams Summers, she was a member of the Church of Christ of Malden and an inspector for Federal Mogul.
On Sept. 1946, in St. Louis, Mo., she married
William P. "Dub" Reeves, who survives of the home.
Survivors include four sisters, Alverta Waltripr, of Campbell, Mo., Palestine Welty and Rosetta Wayne, both of Kennett and Mary Tucker, of Rockford, Ill.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Summers, two nieces, Rowena Sue Wayne and Martha Jane Sale, and a nephew, Walter Vernon Welty.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, March 14, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett with Mr. David B. McElwain officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery at Kennett.
Allie Settlemoir
Allie Settlemoir, 81, of Flint, Mich., formerly of Bragg City, Mo., died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at the McLaren Regional Medical Center in Michigan.
Born Dec. 23, 1920, in Phebe, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Allan Estes and Jennie Lee Henley Pate.
On April 25, 1942, she married
James Richard Settlemoir, who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1969. She was also preceded in death by one brother, and five sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Settlemoir and wife, Diane, of Woodstock, Ga., and Keith Settlemoir and wife, Marilyn, of Flint, Mich.; two daughters, Annette Settlemoir, of Flint and Shelly Martin, of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Willia Bea Reeder, of Orlando, Fla.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. today, March 14, at the Oak Ridge cemetery at Kennett with Rev. Bill Fox officiating.
Pallbearers were Mike and Nick Goodrich, Bobby and Jerry Turner and Keith and Dick Settlemoir.
Memorials may be made to charity of one's choice.

Ruby Shelton
Riuby M. Shelton, 87, of Clarkton, Mo., died Tuesday, March 12, at the Garden View Care Center in O'Fallon, Mo.
Born Oct. 6, 1914, in Pollard, Ark., daughter of James Euin and Belle Kitty McDonald Pillow, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarkton and a member of the WMU and a retired postal clerk for the Clarkton Post Office.
On Dec. 8, 1929, in Piggott, Ark., she married
Clay C. Shelton, who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1979. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Pillow and one sister, Geneva Poe.
Survivors include one son, Chester C. Shelton and wife, Carolyn, of St. Charles, Mo.; two daughters, Rosemary Williams, of O'Fallon and Yvonne James and husband, Charles, of Lake Saint Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Velma Rice, of Piggott, Ark., Virginia Lentz, of O'Fallon and Josephine Hill, of Palm Desert, Calif.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at the First Baptist Church in Clarkton with Rev. the Daniel Hale officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove cemetery at Clarkton.
Robert Floyd
Robert Edward Floyd, 75, died Monday, March 11, 2002 at the Anderson Hosptial in Maryville, Ill.
Born in Selmer, Tenn. on Jan. 28, 1927 and son of the late William J. and Minnie J. Moroney Floyd, he was a carpenter and a member of the Jesus Name Tabernacle.
On May 18, 1945, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge on Nov. 3, 1946.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Floyd of Granite City, Ill., and Robert F. Floyd of Hampton, Va.; two brothers, Earl Floyd of Steele, Mo. and Tom Floyd of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held on March 15, 2002 at the Jesus Name Tabernacle with Rev. John Stepp officating. Burial was in Maple cemetery.
Pallbearers were Danny Floyd, Jr., Jonathan Guy, Kevin Gunn, Robert Floyd, Shain Schoolcraft and Jeremy Yates.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
Bobby Glenn
Bobby R. Glenn, 71, of Farmington, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at the Mineral Area Hospital in Farmington.
Born March 6, 1930 in Octa, Mo., he was the son of the late Aaron and Letha Brannam Glenn.
Survivors include two step-sons, Bruce and Roy Simmons, both of Clarksville, Tenn.; two step-daughters, Cathy Reeves of Kennett and Melinda Smith of Caraway, Ark. and two aunts, Aline Anthony of Kennett and Veneta Ethridge of South Haven, Mich.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Revs. J.C. Joyner and Don Emery officiating.
Burial followed in the Sumach cemetery at Holcomb, Mo.
Pallbearers were Scott Reeves, Chris Cannady, Mike Anthony, Quinton Anthony, Fred Ethridge and Mark Anthony
Jewell Thompson
Jewell Mae Thompson, 82, of Cordova, Tenn., formerly of Holcomb, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born May 10, 1919 in Frisbee, Mo. to the late W.R. and Laura Eulitt Rollins, she was a dietician, a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova and a former member of the New Home General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
On December 5, 1939 in Campbell, Mo., she married
Rufus Thompson, who preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1986.
Survivors include two daughters Beth Mays, and husband, William, of Arlington, Tenn., Sue Evans, and husband, Mick, of Independence, Mo.; three sons, Bill Thompson and wife, Carole, of Tucson, Ariz., Max Thompson and wife, Brenda, of Bolivar, Mo., Ken Thompson and wife, Pat, of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters Bernice Lightfoot of Birmingham, Ala. and Willa B. Truitt of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother Donald Rollins of Kennett; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 3 p.m. today, Sunday, March 17, at the Landess Funeral Home of Malden, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating.
Burial will be in the Stanfield cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Bellevue Woods Community Center in Cordova.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Iva Boone
Iva Marie Sledge Boone, 78, of Senath, Mo., died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at the Senath Nursing Center in Senath.
Born Dec. 12, 1923, in Greenbriar, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Peter and Susie June Waddell Sledge.
Survivors include one brother, David Sledge, of Senath, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Dan Sledge and two sisters, Alice Sledge and Della Clark
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Derek Combs officiating.
Burial will follow in the Senath cemetery.

Beuna "Sally" Knight Borders, 91, of Paducah, Ky., died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at the Parkview Nursing Center in Paducah.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lynn Oak cemetery at Campbell, Mo.

Norene Bradshaw, 82, formerly of Senath, Mo., died today, Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
