Beuna Borders
Beuna "Sally" Knight Borders, 91, of Paducah, Ky., died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at the Parkview Nursing Center in Paducah.
Born July 2, 1910, in Bradford, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Charles Cleveland and Rozetta Mullins Allen.
She married
Homer Knight who preceded her in death on April 6, 1944. She later married
Robert H. Borders, who also preceded her in daeth.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Hargrove and husband, Adrian, of Paducah; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, March 21, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in the Lynn Oak cemetery at Campbell, Mo.
Norene Bradshaw
Norene Bradshaw, 82, formerly of Senath, Mo., died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Senath cemetery in Senath.
Gertie Clifton
Gertie Elizabeth Ann Clifton, 93, of Wardell, Mo., died Monday, March 18, 2002, at the Pemiscot Memorial Health System in Hayti, Mo.
Born Jan. 11, 1909, in Portagville, Mo., daughter of the late Jefferson Davis and Mary Elizabeth Lineberry Clifton, she was a member of the Church of Christ, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a retired school teacher.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, March 21, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home in Wardell with Mr. Laddie Owens officiating.
Burial was in the Portageville cemetery at Portageville, Mo.
Pallbearers were Harvell Phillips, Jess Hopkins, Roger Tarver, Bill Crabtree, James Terrance Miller and Wayne Doss.
Honorary Pallbearers were Clifford Skaggs, James Doyle Miller, Issac Wooten and James Vann.
Madeline Cooper
Madeline Cooper, 81, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born May 17, 1920, in Parma, Mo., daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Keith Heady, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
On June 22, 1941, in Piggott, Ark., she married
Roy L. Cooper, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one brother, Granville Powers, of Vandalia, Ill.; four sisters, Pauline Belford, of Phoenix, Ariz., Christine Stout, Davison, Mich., Betty Carawan, of Enumclaw, Wash. and Patricia Welch, of Vidalia, La.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Tom Heady and five sisters, Evelyn Heady, Jean Robinson, Florence Brown, Ilene Sherburne and Loretta Cooper.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, March 21, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Keller officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park cemetery at Malden.
Eula Edwards
Eula Edwards, 91, of Rector, Ark., died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Rector.
Born Jan. 14, 1911, in Bluecane, Ark., daughter of the late Elvis and Enola Cox, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Gloria Smith and husband, Charles, of Rector; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.E. Edwards; one son, Duane Edwards; one daughter, Melda Terry and seven brothers.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, March 21, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Henry Dortch and Kenny Burns officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodland Heights cemetery at Rector.
Pallbearers are Dewain and Keith Smith, Kevin and Bobby Terry, Allen Edwards and Dennis Robertson.

Arthur Prenger, 89, of Glennonville, Mo., died today, Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Three Rivers Healthcare North in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Carl Avon Smith, 63, of Kennett, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Spencer Furby.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Kennett.

Leona Swinney, 82, of Kennett, died today, Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Three Rivers North Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Wayne Williams
Glendal Wayne Willams, 66, of Dexter, Mo., died Wednesday, march 20, 2002, at his residence.
Born July 4, 1935, in Steele, Mo., son of the late Curley and Cora Mae Northcutt Williams, he was U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War and a retired OTR truck driver.
On Jan. 5, 1990, in Clarkton, Mo., he married
Phyllis Hawkins Evans, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, Michael Wayne and Billy Wayne Williams, both of Bokeelia, Fla.; one step daughter, Donna Carol Tilley, of Essex, Mo.; one brother, Verlon Copeland, of Portageville, Mo.; two half sisters; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, March 21, at the Mt. Gilead cemetery in Clarkton, Mo. with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
Rosie Decker
Rosie Decker, 97, of Kennett, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Aug. 20, 1904, in Tennessee, daughter of the late Elvis Reynolds, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, Leonard Decker, of Malden, Mo., Verlon Decker, of Camden, Tenn., Leroy Decker, of Rives, Mo., and Vernon Decker, of Paris, Tenn.; two daughters, Juanita Luck, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Bernice Rogers, Poplar, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, March 22, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeremy Damesworth officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele.

Margarette Gerveva Beniot Evans, 80, of Senath, Mo., died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at National Health Care in Kennett.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, March 22, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Truman Wycoff and Brent Pierce officiating.
Burial will follow in the Senath cemetery.
Jerry Hamm, Sr.
Jerry Glenn Hamm Sr., 50, of Ripley, Tenn., died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Oct. 16, 1951, in Caruthersville, Mo., son of Verna Louise Hatley Ham, of Caruthersville and the late Gerald C. Hamm, he was in the concrete construction business.
On Nov. 24, 1977, in Caruthersville, he married
Carol Jane Chunn, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include three sons, Jerry Glenn Hamm Jr., of Caruthersville and Ronald Eugene Brodie and Jerry Ray Hamm, both of Ripley, Tenn.; one daughter, Kristy Castelli, of Caruthersville; five grandchildren, Destiny and Devin Hamm, of Caruthersville, Morgan and Landen Castelli, of Caruthrsvile and Katlyn Brodie, of Ripley; one brother, Gerald Wayne Hamm, of Caruthersville and two sisters, Melba Johnson, of Caruthersville, and Wanda Woods of Micola, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersvile with the Rev. Jerry Harmon officiating.
Burial was in the Maple cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Cecil Wayne and Eli Johnson and Leon Jr., Chad, Clarence Sr. and Clarence Jr. Woods.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of services.
