Ray Hall
Ray Hall, 62, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Dec. 28, 2002, at Memphis, Tenn.
Born Feb. 27, 1940, at Caruthersville, a son of Ila G. Hall of Caruthersville and the late Clyde F. Hall, he was a musician and a Baptist.
Other survivors include two sisters, Buna Etta Vales and husband, Elbert, of Tooney, Tenn. and Dorothy Hall of Caruthersville; and a brother, Marion E. Hall and wife, Romie, of Lutes, Tenn.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial was in Maple cemetery at Caruthersville.
Lockie Hollingsworth
Lockie Bell Hollingsworth, 77, of Collierville, Tenn., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Collierville.
Born Sept. 6, 1925, at Waynesboro, Tenn., a daughter of the late Thomas and Laura Denton Carter, she was retired from Brown Shoe Co. and a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Dugger and husband, John Earl, of Collierville; two sisters, Wilton Jordan and Ruby Fisher of Caruthersville; a brother, Floyd Carter of Steele, Mo., two grandchildren, Johnna Vaughan of Collierville and Justin Dugger of Meridian, Miss. and three great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Grayson Vaughn of Collierville and Justin Dugger of Meridian.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Richard Adams officiating.
Burial was in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens cemetery in Caruthersville under direction of John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti, Mo.
Pallbearers were Robert Barnes, Junior Davis, Tommy Day, Bubba Henson, Cecil Johnson and Jim Long.
George Luther
George Luther, 90, of Kennett, formerly of Holcomb, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, in McDaniel Chapel with the Revs. Dale Rickman and Lonnie Mittag officiating.
Burial in Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.
Reba Magouirk
Reba Retha Magouirk, 72, of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 19, 1930, in Senath, Mo., a daughter of the late William Dale and Lucinda Herrell Holbrook, she was of the Baptist faith.
On Nov. 30, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., she married
Henry Magouirk who preceded her in death Jan. 23, 2001. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Retha Jean Magouirk, Sharon Tackett and Darla Massey; two sons, Andrew Magouirk and Donald Magouirk; a brother, Darrell Holbrook; and two grandchildren, Sherry Nicole Blagg and Ashley Danielle Moses.
Survivors include a daughter, Gayle McMillen of Campbell; five sons, William "Sonny" Magouirk, James Magouirk, Jerry Magouirk, Rick Magouirk, all of Campbell and Tony Magouirk of Nimmons, Ark.; four sisters, Venora Barnes and Diane Lamunion of Campbell, Yvonne West and Lora Mae Shelton, both of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; a brother, Clyde Holbrook of Hayti, Mo.; 38 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, Mo., with the Rev. Mike Redman officiating.
Burial was in Stanfield cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
Hershel Parrott, Jr.
Hershel Harbert Parrott, Jr., 77, of Gideon, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born May 25, 1925, in Cardo Gordo, Tenn., a son of the late Hershel Harbert and Carrie Belle Coleman Parrott, he was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from U.S. Rubber Tire Mfg., a member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Order and a Shriner.
Survivors include one son, Hershel Paul Parrott of Gideon; three sisters, Jean Jones of Kennett, Nina Schaffer of St. Louis and Johnnie Hodge of Beaver Falls, Pa.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Calvin.
Funeral services are 3:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Gideon with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.
Burial was in Stanfield cemetery at Clarkton.
Lucille Randolph
Nina Lucille Randolph, 81, of Gideon, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 4, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon.
Born Sept. 20, 1921, at Bloomfield, Mo., a daughter of the late Thomas Alvin and Lilly Hayes Walker, she was a homemaker and member of Stanfield General Baptist Church at Clarkton.
On Sept. 16, 1939, in Malden, Mo., she married
Homer Lee "Buster" Randolph, who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Savanah Hargraves and husband, Darrell, of Wasilla, Ark. and Arvilla Early and husband, Wayne, of Bernie, Mo.; three sons, Buddy Randolph and wife, Karen, and Dencel Randolph and wife, Jeanette, all of Gideon, and Larry Randolph and wife, Carolyn, of Rogers, Ark.; one sister, Norma Keene of Bay City, Texas.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Pippens and Vivian Campbell; two brothers, "Rank" Walker and Junior Walker and one granddaughter, Vicki Hargarves.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Stanfield General Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Evans and Dr. Kenneth Kennedy officiating.
Burial was in Stanfield cemetery under direction of Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden.
Loedith Shipley
Loedith Ann Shipley, 87, of Bloomfield, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Beverly Health Care in Bloomfield.
Born Jan. 24, 1915, in Manila, Ark., she was a retired cook and was affiliated with Bible Tabernacle Church in Bloomfield.
She married
R.A. Shipley, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Jerry Chisholm of Advance, Mo. and Steve Shipley of Sikeston; four daughters, Bonnie Kemper of Arnold, Mo., Lois McNeil of Arbyrd, Mo., Elizabeth Tison of Bloomsdale, Mo. and Jennolia Leathers of Dexter, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennivee Chisolm; five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Cotus James officiating.
Burial was in Bloomfield cemetery at Bloomfield.
Ambress Thrasher
Ambress Thrasher, 86, of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.
Born May 6, 1916, in Campbell, a son of the late Oliver and Rosella Chumley Thrasher, he was a retired carpenter and a Protestant.
On May 9, 1934, in Campbell, he married
Myra Irene Duncan who preceded him in death Nov. 25, 1994. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Darlene Thrasher, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Todd of Campbell, Loretta Cartee of Risco, Mo. and Glenda Armitage of Piggott, Ark.; two sons, Donald Thrasher of St. Francis, Ark. and Ambress Thrasher, Jr. of Arlington, Texas; 18 grandchildren, 36-great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at Loyd cemetery at Holcomb, Mo., under direction of Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.
Betty Titus
Betty Neil Titus, 78, of Kennett, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Monday, July 21, 1924, at Abert, Mo., a daughter of the late Neil and Lottye J. Mickey Ore, she was a U.S. Navy veteran and a computer operator. She was active in Brownie and Girl Scouts, Red Cross, Order of Eastern Star and Lions Club and Trinity Community Church at Cardwell, Mo.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Kerrick of Independence, Mo. and Deborah Harper of Cardwell; six grandchildren, Kim Stocklien, Aimee Park, Ryan Dougherty, Kyle Calfas, Brian Harper and Jeff Harper, all of Cardwell; four great-grandchildren, Sydni Stocklien, Marimargaret Park, Kaleb Park and Kohner Calfas all of Cardwell.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Nell Virginia Ore Goodson.
Graveside services were 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Cardwell cemetery in Cardwell with the Rev. Kevin Knox officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
Catheryn Tripp
Catheryn Tripp, 76, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at Ridgeview Nursing Center in Malden.

James Vincent
James Otis Vincent, 75, of Derby, Kan., formerly of Holcomb, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Vyne Hospital in Witchita, Kan.
Born Nov. 16, 1927, in Paris, Tenn., a son of the late Clarence and Willie Mae Pogue Vincent, he was a veteran.
He married
Mary Reaves who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Rita Ethridge and her husband, Ben, of Derby, Kan.; a sister, Dorothy Wilcoxson of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a granddaughter, Lesley Selvidge of Derby, Kan. and a great-granddaughter, Logan Selvidge.
Funeral services were 10:30 this morning, Tuesday, Jan. 7, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kenentt with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.
Sarah West Sarah L. West, 88, of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 3, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Hayti with the Rev. Tony Jefferson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Hayti.
Eddie Whitehorn
Eddie Whitehorn, 86, of Memphis, Tenn., died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Southaven, Miss.
She married
Henry F. Whitehorn who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Ann Rainey and husband, Rance, of Holcomb, Mo.; four grandchildren, Jeff, Shawn and Scot McCullough, and Angela Bledsoe and two great-grandchildren, Brook and Caroline Bledsoe.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Memphis Funeral Home-Poplar Chapel.
Burial was in Forest Hill Midtown cemetery.
