Bobby Thacker, Jr.
Bobby Gene Thacker, Jr., 57, of Holcomb, Mo., formerly of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born March 23, 1945, in Campbell, son of Ida Nickless Thacker, of Campbell and the late John Thacker, he was a self-employed contractor and of the General Baptist faith. On March 21, 1987, in Campbell, he married
Brenda Kay Higgins, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one daughter, Regina Rainwater, of California; one son B.J. Thacker, of Campbell; two step-children, Pamela Clavier, of Holcomb and Doylas Skaggs, of Campbell; four sisters, Dolly Woolard, of Pocahontas, Ark., Virginia Johnson, Carolyn Perkins and Marjorie Wollums, all of Campbell and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, 22, 2002, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Earl D. Dell officiating.
Burial will follow at the Gunnels cemetery in Campbell.
Marie Sanders
Marie Sanders, 90, of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
Born Sept. 4, 1911, in Campbell, daughter of the late Charles E. and Marguerite A. Vaughn Porter, she was a homemaker , a member of the Campbell General Baptist Church. She was a past president of the PTA at Campbell School, former member of the Campbell Women's Club and Eunice Rick Missionary Society of the church.
On April 6, 1929, in Piggott, Ark., she married
Donnell Sanders, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1982. She was also preceded in death by one son Donnell Russell Sanders; two sisters, Ola Cruse and Lavesta Slankard and three brothers, Robert Porter, Owen Porter and Russell Porter.
Survivors include two sons, Carlos Dale Sanders, of St. Louis, Mo. and Byron Neal Sanders and wife, Ruby Jo, of Fayetteville, Ga.; one daughter, Rose Marie Green and husband, Bob, of Bradford, Tenn.; one sister, Marguerite Faughn, of Campbell; three granddaughters, Angie Akin, Leslie Avery and Shelley Gregg; three grandsons, Kent Green and Garrett and Steven Sanders; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 23, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Earl D. Dell officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn cemetery in Campbell.
Carroll Coleman
Carroll Edward Coleman, 60, of St. Louis, and formerly of Holcomb, Mo., died Wednesday, August 21, 2002, at his residence.
Born June 17, 1942, at Holcomb, a son of the late Joy and Cletha Smith Coleman, he was of the Baptist faith. Survivors included a sister, Joyce Howard, and her husband, Earl, of Doniphan, Mo.
Graveside services were 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, in the Lloyd cemetery at Holcomb with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Arrangements directed by Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden, Mo.
Thomas McLain
Thomas D. "Tom" McLain, 66, of St. Peters, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 22, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters. Born Nov. 7, 1935, in Senath, Mo., a son of Josie Seaman of Granite City, Ill. and the late Thomas O. McLain, he was a machine operator at an aluminum foundry in Overland, Mo. He was a member of the Charbo and Karen Church of Christ in St. Charles, Mo.
He married
Phyllis J. Mitchell, who survives of the family home.

Bannes and her husband, Lorry, of Kirkwood, Mo.; a son, Tommy McLain and his wife, Rita, of Sherman, Texas; a step-son, Todd Mitchell and his wife, Sandy, of Rowlett, Texas; five sisters, Frieda Noonon and her husband, Jimmy, of Senath, Kathy Burcham and her husband, Orville, of Cardwell, Mo., Brenda Sessums and her husband, Jerry, of DeSoto, Mo., Doris Smith of Kennett, Cheryl Ray of Lawton, Okla.; a brother, Charles McLain and his wife, Cheryl, of Topeka, Kan.; mother-in-law, Johnnie Mae Coffey of St. Peters, a grandson, Chad McLain and a granddaughter, Lexi Mitchell. He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Jean McLain Visitation is 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Sunday, Aug. 25, at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center in St. Charles.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel in St. Charles.
Burial in St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to the Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis or to Fair Haven Childrens Home. Memorials may be sent to the Baue Funeral Home.
Alline Shatley
Alline Berneice Shatley, 90, of Cardwell, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark.
Born May 1, 1912, in Cardwell, a daughter of the late William and Eula Dement, she was a homemaker and attended Calvary Full Gospel Church in Cardwell.
She married
Russell A. Shatley, who survives of the family home.
Other survivors include three sons, Leon Shatley and his wife, Arlena, of Sterling Heights, Mich., Hughlen D. Shatley and his wife, Deloris, of Paragould and Curtis D. Shatley and his wife, Dianna, of Jonesboro, Ark.; three daughters, Ewald B. Frontz and her husband, Dennis, of Old Hickory, Tenn., Sharron Burroughs and her husband, Jimmie, of Hermitage, Tenn. and Carla D. Swindle and her husband, Leon, of Paragould; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by triplet children, Norma Joyce, Billy Cloyce and Jackie Boyce Shatley and by five brothers. Visitations is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Sunday, Aug. 25, at the Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Leland Dement officiating. Burial in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and granddaughters as honorary pallbearers.
Jessie Bullock
Jessie Bullock, 90, of Wardell, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 26, 1912, in Hackleburg, Ala., daughter of the late Samuel Ezell and Victoria Hassie Kelly Lipsey, she was a member of the Nazarene Church in Wardell.
On Oct. 31, 1931, in Blytheville, Ark., she married
E.P. Bullock, who preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1997. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Bullock; two brothers, Clarence & Clayton Lipsey and one sister, Clara Mae Curtis.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas Bullock, of Washington, Ill., Dennye Bullock, of Macomb, Ill. and Jerry Bullock, of Wardell; one daughter, Carolyn Baynes, of Ballwin, Mo.; one sister, Ollie Bullock, of Eureka, Ill.; one brother, Clyde Lipsey, ofPhoenix Ariz.; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at the Nazarene Church in Wardell with the Rev. William Quillin officiating.
Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens cemetery at Caruthersville, Mo.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home of Wardell was in charge of arrangements.
Wylmo Bradshaw
Wylmo Bradshaw, 83, of Hornersville, Mo., died today, Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home.
Eugene Hall
Eugene W. Hall, 51, of Steele, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at his residence.
Born June 19, 1951, in Cherokee, Ala., son of the late Abe and Evelyn Thompson Hall, he was a grocery stocker.
Survivors include good friends, Jerry and Charlene Dorris, of Steele; two aunts, Susie Thompson and Mary Morrow, both of Holland, Mo. and one uncle, Arlis Thompson, of Cherokee.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Zion cemetery in Steele with the Rev. Harold Norton officiating.
Lilly Kenner
Lilly Fay Kenner, 96, of White Oak, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at Holcomb, Mo.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Crawford officiating.
Burial will follow at the Brockett cemetery in Pocahontas, Ark.
Richard Mitchell, Sr.
Richard Meadows Mitchell, Sr., 83, of Paragould, Ark., died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Paragould.
Born Sept. 6, 1918, in Paragould, son of the late Randal and Lucy Wyatt Mitchell, he was owner of Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould, former member of the Paragould Jaycees and a member of the Second & Walnut Church of Christ. He served on the board and was past president of the Arkansas Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, Arkansas Funeral Director of the Year, past president of Arkansas Funeral Directors Association and board member of Memorial Insurance Company of America.
Survivors include two sons, Dick Mitchell and wife, Pat and Bob Mitchell and wife, Debbie, all of Paragould; two daughters, Caroline Mims and Suzanne Carlton and husband, Dean, all of Paragould; one sister, Louranda Hollis, of Paragould; five grandchildren, Robert Mims, of Oxford, Miss., Jeff Mitchell, of Fayetteville, Ark., Shane Tripod, of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Julie Holmes and Jacob Tripod, both of Paragould and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delois Mitchell; one brother, Ralph Mitchell and an infant sister, Betty Jo Mitchell.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with James Brown and Larry McFadden officiating.
Burial will follow at the Linwood cemetery in Paragould.
Pallbearers are Robert Mims, Jeff and Randy Mitchell, Shane and Jacob Tripod, Mardy Holmes, Jay Morgan and Mark Quail.

Georgia Smith, 70, of Kennett, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at National Health Care in Kennett.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Ryles officiating.
Burial will follow at the Senath cemetery.
Jerry Smith
Jerry Lee Smith, 43, of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Aug. 20, 1959, in St. Louis, Mo., son of the late Louis Edward and Berva Ileva Bonds Smith, he worked at Prospect Steel in Blytheville, Ark. and was of the Baptist faith.
On May 1, 1997, in Campbell, he married
Cindy Kay Abbott, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two daughters, Carrie Smith, of Caruthersville, Mo. and Dawn Dudley, of Maryland Heights, Ill.; five sons, Dylan Smith, of Caruthersville, Nathan Eric Moore and Jerry Lee Smith, Jr., both of Hayti, Mo. and Dustin and Daniel Morgan, both of Campbell; two grandchildren, Alician and Sophie Dudley; three sisters, Jacqueline Brown and Francis Phelps, both of Illinois and Geneva Farris, of Tennessee and three brothers, Ronnie and Terry smith, both of Illinois and Allen Smith, of Deering, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Phillip Bartholomew officiating.
Burial was in the Landess Addition of the Woodlawn cemetery at Campbell.
