Mary Lou Etta Utterback of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Kennett, died Friday Oct. 30, 2003, at her home after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Surviving are her husband, Robert H. Utterback; four daughters; Nicola Ann Nelson of Chantilly, Va., Deborah Berardino and husband, James, of Broomfield, Colo., Melanie Hinson of San Pedro, California and Sibyl Geiger and husband, Patrick, of West Jordan, Utah; one sister, Betty Calhoun of Waukegan, Ill. and one grandson, Alexander Geiger of West Jordan, and one sister; Betty Calhoun of Waukegan, Illinois.

Justin Markell Mullins, 11, of Gobler, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, in an auto accident near Gobler.
Born Oct. 6, 1992, at Kennett, a son of Martha Roundtree Mullins of Gobler and the late Stuart B. Mullins, he was a student.
Other survivors include a broth, Stuart Brian Mullins, Jr., of the home; two sisters, Lashell Roundtree of Kennett and Tenecia Roundtree of the home; grandmother, Rosie Lee Alexander of Kennett.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Nov. 2, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett, with the Rev. J.W. Rains officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers will be Myrone Hattix, Joseph Stewart, Bobby Stewart, Jr., and Yahntzee Hattix.
Billy Lafferty

Billy Wayne Lafferty, 55, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Jan. 31, 1948, in Caruthersville, a son of the late Grover Cleveland Lafferty, Jr. and Joyce Martha Turnbow Lafferty, he was a crane operator at Trinity Barge Fabrication in Caruthersville and a member of Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church.
On April 29, 1978, in Caruthersville, he married
Ramona Frances Littles, who survives.
Other survivors include four children, Paul Wayne Lafferty, Bobby Lee Lafferty and Courtney Cheyenne Lafferty all of Cauthersville, and Terry Lynn Lafferty of Michigan; one sister, Betty Leek and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Johnson and Troy Alley officiating.
Burial was in Maple cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Tommy Woods, Robert Malin, Danny Taylor, J.D. Hudgens, Jr., Rick Walker and Chris Avis.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Carutherville was in charge of services.

Helen Mamie Ramsey Yarber, 80, of Kennett, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at National Health Care in Kennett.
Born Feb. 25, 1923, in Munford, Tenn., daughter of the late William Nathaniel and Ester Ulela Kenney Potts, she was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
In Jan. 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married
Charles "Todd" Ramsey, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Cannon and husband, Bennie, of Kennett; one sister, Lois Sheehan, of West Memphis, Ark.; two brothers, Elbert Potts and wife, Pearl and William Potts and wife, Judy, all of Kennett and one granddaughter, Benice Wilburn and husband, Chris, of Kennett.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today, Nov. 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5. at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.

Geneva Pruett, 77, of Rector, Ark., died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at Rector Health Care.
Born Feb. 17, 1926, in the Ebenezer Community of Clay County, daughter of the late Omer and Callie Shannon, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She married
Laverne A.J. Pruett, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Pruett and one sister, Opal Thompson.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Pruett and wife, Glenda and Joey Pruett and wife, Janice, all of Rector; one daughter, Deana Mills and husband, Perry, of Rector; one brother, Orlie Shannon, of Jonesboro, Ill.; one sister, Mary Layer, of Jonesboro, Ark.; six grandchildren, Leteceia Dooley, Amy Ward, Nathan and Matt Mills, Sarah Howell and Kyle Pruett, all of Rector and four great-grandchildren, Ariel and Evan Dooley, Shelby Ward and Ashlyn Mills, all of Rector.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at the First Baptist Church in Rector with Ardell Polk and Kenny Burns officiating.
Burial was in the Woodland Heights cemetery at Rector.
Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Lee Poe, 79, of Fort Smith, Ark., formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003.
She was a homemaker and a member of the White City Baptist Church in Tulsa, Okla.
She married
Jerome Poe, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Ramona Kouri, of Fort Smith and Sandra Madewell, of Keota, Okla.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Putnam Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Hayti cemetery.

Elsie Lewis, 83, of Campbell, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.
Born Feb. 4, 1920, in Qulin, Mo., daughter of the late Charlie and Effie Edna Parrent King, she was a bookkeeper for Venture Ford Tractor and a member of the Campbell Church of Christ.
On Sept. 11, 1943, in Flint, Mich., she married
Harold Ralph Lewis, who preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1988.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Tranum and husband, Robert, of Memphis, Tenn. and two grandchildren, Matthew and Kimberly Sweatt, both of Memphis.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with Albert Gardener officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.

Charles Benton "Ben" Travis, 62, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at the Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tenn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Troy Alley and Dwight Chapman officiating.

Patricia Ann McCauley Pelleschi, 59, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at her residence.
Born Sept. 1, 1944, at Kennett, daughter of the late Hobson Eugene and Grace Collier McCauley, she was a bartender and former owner/operator of the Glennonville Tavern. She was a member of the Malden American Legion Post No. 293.
On Sept. 8, 1962, in La Puenta, Calif., she married
Donald Cazares.
Survivors include two daughters, Tracie Cazares, of Dexter, Mo. and Patricia Cazares, of Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Anthony Cazares, of Corona del Mar, Calif.; one brother, Victor Willis, of Corona del Mar and five grandchildren, Mollie, Olivia, Angel, Joseph and Jason.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Johnson.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Mary Francis Reis officiating.

Billy Dean Martin, Sr., 59, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church in Kennett with the Rev. Charles Avants officiating.
Burial will follow at the Senath cemetery.

Draper Lee Lane, 25, of Clarksdale, Miss., formerly of Senath, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Rich, Miss.
Born Oct. 5, 1978, in Paragould, Ark., son of Steven and Demere Lane, of Clarksdale, he was a security guard.
Survivors also include grandparents, Albert and Phyliss Kinchen, of Whitesboro, Texas and Jimmy and Dorothy Lane, of Clarksdale; a great-grandmother, Veola Quarles, of Whitesboro; two sisters, Drue and DeKarr Lane, both of Clarksdale and two aunts.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the National Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksdale with the Rev. Richard Motes officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Bill Wesley Greenway, 64, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at his residence.
Born June 21, 1939, in Alamo, Tenn., son of the late Bill Wesley and Opal Greenway, he was a farmer.
On Aug. 3, 1970, in Chicago, Ill., he married
Sharon Elaine Sapoli, who preceded him in death on May 9, 2002. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Bill Greenway, III.
Survivors include one daughter, Anna Marie Greenway, of Caruthersville; three sons, Bill Greenway, Jr. and wife, Melissa, Micahel and Jim Greenway, all of Caruthersville; two sisters, Jamie Redden, of Braggadocio, Mo. and Stella Ferrell, of Steele, Mo. and four grandchildren, Adam Greenway and Chris Bolan, both of Caruthersville and Angel Greenway and Paul Rush, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Little Prairie cemetery in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Pallbearers were Charles and Steve Dale, David Varner, Michael Greenway, Bill Greenway, Jr. and Terry Clark.
