Alma Jean Johnson, 81, of Steele, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at Memphis, Tenn.
Born Jan. 18, 1922, in Steele, daughter of the late Ollie F. and Almeda Larue Frakes, she was a homemaker and a member of the Steele Church of Christ.
She married
Olan Johnson, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Melba Frakes Lane.
Survivors include three sisters Catherine Kellems, Adell Capps and husband, Gervis and Geraldine Young and husband, Pete, all of Steele and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele with Bill Lovelace and John Mundy officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele.
Marion L. Hobbs

Marion L. "Susie" Hobbs, 52, of Senath, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Feb. 11, 1951, in Rector, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Leo and Wanda Clayton Cranford.
On May 24, 1968, in Piggott, Ark., she married
Jessie Barry Hobbs, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2001. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Glenda Cunningham and Gwendolyn Twitty.
Survivors include two sons, Stevie Hobbs, of Caruthersville, Mo. and Jessie Jr. J.J. Hobbs and wife, Laura, of Cardwell, Mo.; one daughter, Jackie Lance, of Kennett; three brothers, Terry Cranford, of Senath, Tommy Cranford, of Moberly, Mo. and Sherman Cranford, of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Myers anbd Girtie Cook, both of Kennett; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Kim Smith officiating.
Burial was in the Lulu cemetery.
Dennis Goodwin

Dennis Goodwin, 58, of Kennett, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born March 19, 1945, in Catron, Mo., he was the son of the late Herman and Irene Terry Goodwin.
On Feb. 15, 1983, in Kennett, he married
Beth Oldham, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include, four daughters, Shawn Goodwin, of Kennett, Gayla Mayo, of Arkansas, Denise Ware, of Florida and Donja Rodriguez, of Texas; one son, Seth Oldham, of Kennett: three brothers, Daniel Goodwin, of Oldfort, Tenn., Dale Godwin, of Walcott, Ark. and Harold Goodwin, of Hayti, Mo. and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Friendship Baptist Church in Kennett.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Friendahip Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
Donald Gibson, Sr.

Donald Lee Gibson, Sr., 71, of Paragould, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born July 14, 1932, in Arbyrd, Mo., son of the late Dave P. and Alice Pruett Gibson, he was retired from General Motors-Buick Division in Flint, Mich. and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include seven sons, Michael P. Gibson and wife, Charlotte, of Pensacola, Fla., Earl W. Gibson and wife, Kim, Bryan Norvell and wife, Vicky, Bradley Norvell and wife, Ruth, Michael Gibson and wife, Tanya and John Gibson, all of Paragould and Donald Gibson, Jr. and wife, Susan, of Mtn. Home, Ark.; two daughters, Alice Barron, of Paragould and Donna Morris and husband, Wayne, of Jonesboro; two brothers, Jimmy Gibson and wife, Joni, of Ft. Meyers, Fla. and Marion Gibson and wife, Jackie, of Cardwell, Mo.; six sisters, Billie Holloway and husband, James, Bonnie Sue Holleman and Judy Pidgeon and husband, John, all of Flint, Jean Ball and husband, Joe, of Arbyrd, Jerri Hutton and husband, Sam. of Manila, Ark. and Mary Davis, of Leachville, Ark.; 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Foutch and Artie Mae Gibson and one son, Rubert Gibson.
No services are planned at this time.

William "Eddie" Fuller, 65, of Kennett, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at his residence.
Born Aug. 10, 1938, in Phoenix, Ariz., son of the late Samuel Edgar and Hattie Emily Sexton Fuller, he owned and operated Christy's Furniture in Kennett.
He married
Barbara Jean Whitehorn, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother in infancy.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin Wayne Fuller, of St. Louis, Mo. and Dennis Eugene Fuller and wife, Kimberly, of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Christy Lynn Moody and husband, Jimmie, of Kennett; three grandchildren, Jennifer Michelle Schulz, Sloane Allison Fuller and Allison Emily Moody and one great-grandchild, Tristin Jude Wissler.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Carroll McGruder officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Kevin and Dennis Fuller, Ken Lewis and Larry Hemphill.

Mozelle Bradley, 92, of Cardwell, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.
Born in Cardwell, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Linnie May Jarrett Bradley, she was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ in Cardwell.
Survivors include one brother, Jerome Bradley, of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Mable Jackson, of Cardwell and Margrete Bledsoe, of Bakersfield, Calif.; one niece and three nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville, Ark. with Dwight Harrison officiating.
Burial was in the Cardwell cemetery.
Harvey Bediant

Harvey E. Bediant, 85, of Campbell, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
Born Sept. 14, 1918, in Los Angeles, Calif., son of the late Earl and Selma Bediant, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII and a farmer.
On March 29, 1980, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., he married
Anna Bullard Bryant, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Benny Bediant, of Campbell; 10 step-children and two sisters, Dorothy Summers, of Poplar Bluff and Eleanor Summers, of Collinsville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Bediant.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Needham officiating.
Burial will follow at the Elder cemetery in Campbell.

Bessie A. Brown, 96, of Kennett, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at the Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gary Gelsinger and Jack Allen officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.

Opal Irene Zolman, 82, of Arbyrd, Mo. died, Monday, Nov. 17, 2003 at her residence.
Born on March 8, 1921 in Arbyrd, a daughter of the late Sam and Martha Whitlock Malone.
On Sept. 28, 1937, she married
Loyed "Doc" Zolman, who preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include three sons, Earl Wayne Zolman and wife, Becky, of Arbyrd, Lyman Zolman and wife, Jekita, of Arbyrd, and Ronald Zolman and wife, Joyce, of Arbyrd; one daughter, Jearlene Sparks and husband, Jack, of Cardwell, Mo.; one brother, Lonnie Malone; and four sisters, Alberta Deck, Becky Wright, Pauline Wilmoth, and Reva Hill; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the Lulu cemetery near Senath with Rev. Bryan Malone officiating.
Pallbearers were Donald and Johnny Zolman, Steve Russell, Brian and Paul Shearer and Charlie Pippy.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd was in charge of arrangements.
Cecille Wyatt

Cecille F. Wyatt, 76, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003 at her residence.
Born on August 5, 1927 in St. Louis, Mo., daughter of the late Russell D. and Illma C. Little Yates, she was employed as a sales clerk in the jewelry department at Wal-Mart prior to her retirement and was a member of the Eastern Star and the first Christian Church.
On May 30, 1946 in Piggott, Ark., she was married
to Robert F. Wyatt, who preceded her in death in 1987.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Wyatt and wife, Brenda, of Memphis, Tenn., and Terry Wyatt, of Caruthersville; five grandchildren, Michelle Berta ,of Memphis, Tenn., Scott Wyatt, of Humbolt, Tenn., Kenneth Wyatt,of Smyrna, Tenn., Daniel Wyatt, of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Brandon Wyatt, of Memphis, Tenn. and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17 at Pemiscot Memorial Gardens in Caruthersville with Rev. Steve McFadden officiating.
The H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
