Richard Lewis

Richard Murel Lewis, 74, of Gideon, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at the Gideon Care Center.
Born June 20, 1929, in Campbell, Mo., son of the late Elmer Angelo and Gertrude Baker Lewis, he was a farmer and a member of the Clarkton General Baptist Church.
On April 12, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married
Dorothy Tune, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include four sons, Murel Eugene Lewis, of Little Rock, Ark., Richard Ira Lewis, of Gideon and Frankie Randolph and Denver Thomas Lewis, both of Clarkton, Mo.; three daughters, Marilyn Lee Elwood, of Colgate, Okla., Carolyn Ann Muns, of Clarkton and Delinda Sue Ray, of Gideon; one brother, Robert William Lewis, of Covington, Tenn.; two sisters, Audrey Arlene Todd, of Campbell and Helen Pipkins, of Flint, Mich.; 26 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Frankie Randolph Lewis; four brothers, John, Vernon, Lawrence and Frank Lewis and two sisters, Edith Brodick and Luah Belle Bench.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 28, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Gilmoe officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mt. Gilead cemetery in Clarkton.

Ruth Ann Carnell, 73, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at her residence.
Born April 6, 1930, Hemp Hill Bottom Mo., daughter of the late Jacob Arthur and Millie Moore Lance, she was employed at Logli Supermarket in Rockford, Ill., where she retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett.
On May 25, 1946, in Piggott, Ark., she married
Harrison Andrew Carnell, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two children, Michael and Donna; twin grandsons, Matthew and Mark; eight brothers, Clarence, Louis (Bud), Vernie, Chester, Leck, Melvin, Joe and Frank and two sisters, Cordie Woods and Gertrude.
Survivors include one son, Jerry D. Carnell and wife, Ellie, of Kennett; two daughters, Pam Hanson and husband, Arne, of Beloit, Wis. and Sheena Brown and husband Earnie, of Kennett; one sister, Geneva Rogers and husband, Bobby, of Kennett; grandchildren, Tony, Thomas and Charitie Von Ruden, Donald Davis, Dana Carnell, Heather Walker and Clifford Brown, all of Kennett, Dawn Cofield and Kristen and Josh Carnell, all of Rockford, Jackie Baxter, of Green Bay, Wis. and Candy and Elizabeth Davis and Roger Turner, Jr., all of Beloit; 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.
Burial will folow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers were Randall Scott, Jeffery Carnell, Gary, Gerald and Phillip Lance, David Jones, Jackie Jackson and Greg Akers.

Troy Childers, 57, of Kennett, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 30, 1946, in Ashland, Miss., he was a son of Rosie Tucker Childers of Paragould, Ark., and the late Marlin Childers.
Surviving are his wife, Glenda Childers of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters, Michelle Cantrell and husband, Bobby, of Portageville, Mo. and Anna Graham and husband, Larry, of Sikeston; one sister, Doris Jones and husband, Danzil, of Paragould; and four grandchildren, Kevin, William, Cody and Rebecca Cantrell.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Childers.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, in the McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett, with the Rev. Lonnie Mittag officiating.
Burial was in Woodland Heights cemetery at Rector, Ark.
Pallbearers were Benny Payne, Mike Huckelberry, Darion Long, Wayne Treat, Steve Childers and Jeffery Childers.

Patricia Colleen Fletcher, 57, of Cardwell, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at McDaniel Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Knox officiating.

Edward Arnold, Sr.

Edward E. Arnold, Sr., 90, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born Nov. 3, 1913, at Beech Corner, Mo., a son of the late Bert and Belle Baker Arnold he was a farmer and merchant having owned Arnold's Grocery in Clarkton and was a alderman at Clarkton. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell and served as deacon and Sunday School Superintendent at First Baptist Church in Clarkton.
He married
Margaret Elizabeth Dunlap who preceded him in death Dec. 5, 1964. On May 19, 1966, at Malden, Mo., he married
Margie Ellen McCormick, who survives.
Survivors include four children, Peggy Jean Rainwater of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Sierra Sue Hickson of Campbell, Krystyn Elizabeth Arnold of Ashville, N.C. and Edward Earl Arnold, Jr. of Dexter; four step-children, Janet Melton of Pineville, Mo., Bernice Pyle of Campbell, Sharon McElwrath of Holcomb, Mo., and Terry Williams of Bunker, Mo. two sisters and one brother, two grandchildren Ramona Renee Rainwater of Cape Girardeau and Robert Anthony Oliver of Malden; three great-granchildren Brittany, Ashley and Bailey; 14 step-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother, and two step-children, Travis Williams and Carolyn Hatton.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Tony Wood officiating.
Burial was in Stanfield cemetery at Clarkton.

Vennie Williams, 70, of Kennett, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Feb. 2, 1933, in Greene County, Ark., she was a daughter of the late Munford and Sally Grisco Ward.
She married
Gerold Williams who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Ricky L. Williams of Kennett and Michael Williams of St. Louis; one daughter, Jan Deters of St. Louis and one brother, Marlon Ward of Indiana; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Nov. 30, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett, with the Rev. Dan Leggett officiating.
Burial will be in Horner cemetery at Hornersville, Mo.

Roy Lee Pratt, 79, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born Nov. 13, 1924, in Burbon, Mo., son of Columbus and Rue Johnson Pratt, he was U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII, agent for Von Der Ahe Moving & Storage Co. and served on the Malden City Council. He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Malden.
On July 2, 1966, in Dexter, he married
Bernice Strain Clark, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, James Pratt and wife, Valarie, of Robertsville, Mo. and Dennis Pratt and wife, Barbara, of Athens, Ala.; one daughter, Diana Aufderheide and husband, Jim, of St. Ann, Mo.; two step-sons, Dwight Clark and wife, Vicki, of Cedar Hill, Mo. and Rod Clark and wife, Kathy, of Malden; two brothers, Carl Pratt, of St. Louis, Mo. and Floyd Pratt, of St. Clair, Mo.; one sister, Edith Skaggs, of Burbon; five grandchildren; six step-grandchidlren and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Pratt and one sister, Nadine Pratt.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the First Presbyterian Church in Malden with the Revs. Bob Phillips and Virgil Harp officiating.
Burial will follow at the Rosewood cemetery in Malden.
