J.C. Hampton
J.C. Hampton, 65, of Qulin, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at Three Rivers HealthCare-South Campus in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born Sept. 9, 1936, in Ben Lomond, Ark., son of Margaret Hamilton Hampton, of Qulin and the late Charlie Hampton, he was a U.S. Army veteran and of the Baptist faith.
On Nov, 7, 1962, in Piggott, Ark., he married
Linda Foster, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Bobby Gene Hampton, of Qulin; one daughter, Lisa Hampton, of Qulin and two sisters, Dorothy Kinney and Wilma Daniels, both of Qulin.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Gertie Neimeyer and one son Danny Joe Hampton.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at the Carolla cemetery in Qulin.
Rosemary Huddleston
Rosemary Huddleston, 68, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Gary Gilsinger and Bill Orr officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.
Gene Murphy
Hollis Eugene "Gene" Murphy, 58, of Gideon, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Aug. 29, 1943, in Marston, Mo., he was a member of Spoonerville Baptist Church in Malden, Mo. and owner/operator of Murphy Roofing Company.
On Oct. 24, 1962, in Gideon, he married
Peggy Walker.
Survivors include one son, David Murphy, of Bardwell, Ky.; one daughter, Rebecca Nowell, of Portageville, Mo.; one step-daughter, Tracy Johnson, of Malden; four brothers, Charles Murphy and wife, Patricia, of Chesterfield, Mo., Edward Murphy and wife, Robin, of Malden, Gerald Murphy and wife, Elizabeth, of Marion, Ill. and Ray Murphy and wife, Carol, of Clarkton, Mo.; one sister, Judy Davis and husband, James, of St. Peters, Mo. and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Stephens and one brother, Joe Murphy.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.
Burial was in the Stanfield cemetery at Clarkton.
Pansy Reese
Pansy "Pat" Mae Reese, 76, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at her residence.
Born March 20, 1925, in Parma, Mo., daughter of the late henry Ray and Berna Ethel Reeves Miskell, she was a member of the Kimball Baptist Church in Malden and owner/operator of Pat's Daycare Center in Malden.
She married
George Crafton, who preceded her in death and later married
Lloyd Rubel, who also preceded her in death. On June 15, 1991, in Malden, she married
Rev. Vernon Reese, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, George Dennis Crafton, of Medford, NJ.; three grandchildren, Vicki Marrone, of Princeton, NJ., Denise Lynn Stevens, of Atlantic, NJ. and Daniel Crafton, of Medford; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Stevens and Conner Marrone; six step-children, Marvin L. Reese, of St. Louis, Mo., Verlin A. Reese, of Joplin, Mo., Barbara Kendrick, of Eldon, Mo., Verna Dean Strong, of Pacific, Mo., Faye Powell, of Maumelle, Ark. and Kaye Duck, of Fallbrook, Calif.; one sister, Daisy Schaeffer, of Dexter, Mo. and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a step-son, Marlin Reese and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bernie cemetery in Bernie, Mo.
Helen Winkle Helen Winkle, 88, of Senath, Mo., died today, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Hornersville, Mo.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath.
Rosemary Huddleston
Rosemary Huddleston, 68, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Feb. 1, 1933, in Hollywood, Mo., daughter of the late Samuel and Nora Rogers Cobb, she was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Kennett.
On Sept. 24, 1947, she married
Clarence Huddleston, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Charles Huddleston and wife, Linda, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one daughter, Mona Watson and husband, Terry, of Kennett; four grandchildren, Chuck Huddleston, of St. Louis, Mo., Angie Pierce and husband, Darren, of Poplar Bluff, Todd Watson and wife, Dana, of Malden, Mo. and Chris Watson and wife, P.J., of Misawa, Japan; three great-grandchildren, Shea Huddleston and Tyler Griffin, both of Poplar Bluff and Josh Watson, of Malden; one brother, Lynn Cobb, of Livingston, Calif. and one sister, Barbara Scott, of Marmaduke, Ark.
She was preceded in death by one sister Dorothy Edwards.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Carel Perry
Carel Glenn Perry, 78, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Beverly Health Care in Malden.
Born Oct. 7, 1923, in Bernie, Mo., son of the late Earl Foster and Wilma Marie Perry , he was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII and a member of the First Baptist Church in Powe, Mo.
Survivors include three brothers, Wendell McNece, of Oxford, Miss., Verl McNece, of Bernie and Keith McNece, of East Alton, Ill. and three sisters, Norma Jean Bishop, of Ridgeland, Miss., Nina Denisen, of St. Charles, Mo. and Helen Wright, of Springfield, Mo.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Delmar McNece and two sisters, Wanda Dillman and Linda Kay Schultz.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 28, at the Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Rainey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith McNece officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bethany cemetery in Campbell, Mo.
Clytee Pruett
Clytee Pruett, 90, of Kennett, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born June 6, 1911, in Blue Springs, Miss., daughter of the late Bill and Mattie Miller Greenwood, she was a homemaker, a Holcomb School cafeteria worker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Holcomb.
On April 20, 1946, in Green Castle, Tenn., she married
Rodney Pruett, who preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1971. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include one son, Phil Pruett and wife, Paula, of Parrita, Costa Rica; two grandchildren, Lee Pruett, of Orono, Maine and Will Pruett, of Hong Kong and two sisters, Nannie Lou Bishop, of Sikeston, Mo. and Byrdia Martin, of Sarasota, Fla.
Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 28, at the Stanfield cemetery in Clarkton, Mo. with the Rev. Randy Vaughn officiating.
Landess Funeral Home of Campbell, Mo. was in charge of arrangements.
Marie Rusnack
Marie Rusnack, 90, of Chattanooga, Tenn., formerly of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at Chattanooga.
She married
Andrew Richard Rusnack, Sr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Ward and an infant son, John Robert Rusnack.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana Loyd, of Chattanooga; two sons, Michael James Rusnack, of Houston, Texas and Andrew Richard Rusnack, of Jonesboro, Ark.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the St. Teresa Church in Glennonville, Mo. with Father Glenn Eftink officiating.
Burial will follow at the St. Teresa cemetery in Glennonville.
Landess Funeral Home of Campbell is in charge of arrangements.
Helen Winkle
Helen Winkle, 88, of Hornersville, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at her residence.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Hornersville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the First Baptist Church in Hornersville with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.
Mazle Kinnision
Mazle "Dude" Kinnision, 80, of Rives, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001 at her home.
Born Nov. 21, 1921, in the Samford community near Holland, Mo., daughter of the late Henry and Eva Tuberville Jackson, she owned and operated a grocery store in Rives for many years. She was a member of the Rives Church of Christ.
On June 22, 1938, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married
Joseph Harold Kinnision, who preceded her in death June 15, 1968. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Joe and Jerry Kinnision; a daughter, Alice Lawson and a sister, Ronie Short Scott.
Survivors include a son, Carl Kinnision of Rives; a daughter, Barbara Decker of Rives; two sisters, Nona Hicks of Illinois and Mable Bray of St. Peters, Mo.; 10 half-brothers and sisters; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, in the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele with Adam Broom and Joe Springer officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery in Steele.
Pallbearers were Stuart Worrell, Larry Payne, Travis Payne, Larry Conley, Jimmy Morgan and Jamie Morgan.
