Helen Winkle
Helen Winkle, 88, of Hornersville, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at her home.
Born April 12, 1913, in Mt. Pleasant, Ark., she was the daughter of the late John and Calcia Farrier Weatherford.
On Feb. 15, 1939, in Cushman, Ark., she married
Delbert Ray Winkle, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Jervie, Raymond and Roger Dale Winkle and one daughter, Peggy Jenkins.
Survivors include five sons, Charles and Roy Gene Winkle, both of Senath, Jimmy Winkle of Hornersville, James Winkle of Ashflat, Ark. and Bobby Winkle of Batesville, Ark.; six daughter, Lois Ward of Paragould, Ark., Joyce Maxwell of Spring Hill, La., Shirley Slatton of Little Rock, Ark., Betty Howard of Russellville, Ark., Katheryn Jameson of Arbyrd, Mo., and Patty Brown of Hornersville; 44 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, in the First Baptist Church of Hornersville with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.
Burial followed in the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers were Michael Brown, Monty and Ricky Winkle, Jonathan Maxwell, David Jameson and Sean Winkle.
Honorary pallbearers were Jason Howard, Rodney Maxwell, Roger Dale Maxwell, Mark Maxwell, Jeremy Winkle, Lee Freeman and David Winkle.
Randy Belt
Randy JoeBelt, 49, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at the Baptist Health Center in Little Rock, Ark.
Born Aug. 9, 1952, in Malden, son of Leon and Ruth LeVerne Medlin Belt, of Malden, he was a computer tech in the missle defense field and of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors also include two sons, Randy Joe Belt, II and wife, Ashley, of El Dorado, Ark. and Adam Wade Belt and wife, Stephanie, of Smackover, Ark.; one daughter, Heather Reshawn Belt, of Smackover; one brother, Gary Belt, of Malden; one sister, Patricia Davis and husband, Jimmy, of Doniphan, Mo.; four grandchildren, Brayden Cole and Savannah Shea Belt, both of Smackover and DeLaney Marie and Alexis McKay Belt, both of El Dorado and a special friend, Joni Preston.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Becky LaDonna Belt.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Dale Shoup officiating.
Burial was in the Rosewood cemetery at Malden.
Clinton Daffron
Clinton Ray Daffron, 75, of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
Born Oct. 18, 1926, in St. Francis, Ark., son of the late Frank and Ada Ayers Daffron, he was a retired truck driver and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell.
On Nov. 11, 1950, in St. Francis, Ark., he married
Virginia Blount, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two daughters, Tina Shafferkoetter, of St. Louis, Mo. and Lisa Rice and husband, Michael, of Kentucky; three sons, Mike Daffron, of Little Rock, Ark., Randy Daffron, of Gulf Port, Miss. and Doug Daffron, of St. Louis; eight grandchildren, Michael Brian Daffron and Shannon Eades, both of St. Louis, Nicole Daffron, of Kennett, Rachel, Eric and Jessica Daffron, all of Little Rock and Elisha and Seth Rice, both of Kentucky and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Daffron and one sister, Thelma Cashion.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Rice officiating.
Burial will follow at the Gravel Hill cemetery in St. Francis, Ark.
Cecil Davenport
Cecil Davenport, 89, of Campbell, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at the General Baptist Nursing Home, in Campbell.
Born Dec. 25, 1912, in Monette, Ark., son of the late Wilburn H. and Louvenia Bolin Davenport, he was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith.
On June 9, 1934, in Campbell, he married
Fern Edna Cameron, who preceded him in death on May 9, 1992. He was also preceded in death by one son Cecil Vernon Davenport.
Survivors include three daughters, Louvenia Garrison, of Brilliant, Ala., Barbara Depew and husband, Wayne, of Campbell and Carolyn Walker and husband, Latrelle, of Clarence, Mo.; one brother, J.C. Davenport; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Don Eubabnks officiating.
Burial was in the Tucker cemetery at Campbell.
Geneva Fisher
Geneva Avis Morris Fisher, 85, of Rosenburg, Texas, formerly of Kennett, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at Polly Ryan Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Texas.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.
Felix Franks, Jr.
Felix Franks, Jr., 68, of Kennett, formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Rev. Jerry Baker and Don Medlin officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery in Hayti.
Irene Middleton
Irene Middleton, 86, of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
Born April 16, 1915, in Corning, Ark., daughter of the late Thomas E. and Celia Belle Collier Wilson, she was a homemaker.
On Nov. 8, 1929, in Blytheville, Ark., she married
Tess Middleton, who preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 1989.
Survivors include one brother, Jarold Wilson; a dear friend, David Hurst and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with John Mark Wilson officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele, Mo.
Family members served as pallbearers.
Kaley Westbrook
Kaley Alexis Westbrook, infant daughter of Anthony R. Westbrook and Samantha R. Smith, of Tiptonville, Tenn., died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at the Methodist Hospital in Dyersburg.
Survivors also include one brother, David J. Smith, of Tiptonville; grandparents, Sue Smith, of Tiptonville, Bonnie Mustion, of Ripley, Tenn., Steve Westbrook, of Binger, Okla; great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett with the Rev. Johnny Welch officiating.
McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
Geneva Fisher
Geneva Avis Morris Fisher, 85, of Rosenburg, Texas, formerly of Kennett, died Staruday, Dec. 29, 2001, at the Polly Ryan Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Texas.
Born Oct. 11, 1916, in Bloomfield, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Albert Green and Mary Alice Cartwright Morris. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Vader and Henry Morris and three sisters, Elgie Riles, Verbie Rampley and Annie Winchester.
Survivors include one son, Michael Fisher and wife, Laurie, of Sealy, Texas; one daughter, Beverly Hutchinson, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one brother, Delmar Morris, of Kennett; two sisters, Beulah Frazier, of Kennett and Nell Ishmel, of Fort Smith, Ark. and six grandchildren, Todd, Sara and Heather Hutchinson and Michael, Brandon and Makayla Fisher.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vodie Jackson officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Bill Heinen, David Horton, Willie Mitchell, Carl Watson and Eric and Hubert Snipes.
Felix Franks, Jr.
Felix Franks, Jr., 68, of Kennett, formerly of Hayti. Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Dec. 26, 1933, in Osceola, Ark., son of Felix and Lucille McKnight Franks, Sr., of Hayti, he was a truck driver for Don Medlin and he attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hayti.
Survivors also include his wife, Alma Ruth Franks, of Kennett; two daughters, Brenda K. Franks, of Kennett and Beverly Pyland and husband, Ben, of Kennett; one granddaughter, Angela Holt and husband, William, of Holcomb; two grandsons, Chadwick Elliot Franks and Logan Duane Spence, both of Kennett; two great-granddaughters, Brittany and Whitney Holt, both of Holcomb; two brothers, Walter Franks and A.G. Franks, both of Hayti and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Jewell Bunn, of Hayti.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary E. Beck.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Rev. Jerry Baker and Don Medlin officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery at Hayti.

Earline Harris
Earline Harris, 83, of Cooter, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at Cooter.
Born Dec. 18, 1918, in Dorina, Mo., daughter of the late Geroge Raymond and Bertha Stork Alexander, she was employed as an electrical technician in the aircraft manufacturing business and was of the Methodist faith.
She married
Chester R. Harris, who preceded her in death on March 17, 1978.
Survivors include one nephew, Donnie Webber, of Doniphan, Mo.; four nieces, Mildred Floyd and Charlene Brodie, both of Doniphan, Florence Dial, of Cairo, Ill. and Sue Martin, of Lexington, Tenn.; three great nephews, Charles Brodie, of Osceola, Ark. and Ronald and Tony Brodie, both of Cooter; three great nieces, Jackie Pendergrass and Darla Shires, both of Caruthersville, Mo. and Debbie Conway, of Greenwood, Miss.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were William and Allen Barger, Lee Brackin, Brannon and Bill Fisher and Forest Putnam.
