Danny Westerfield
Reginald "Reggie" Danny Westerfield, 51, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at his residence.
Born July 31, 1950, in Kennett, son of the late Isaac Dewey and Velma Mae Briggs Westerfield, he attended the First Christian Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
On July 14, 1973, he married
Jerry Bennett, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Reginald Danny Westerfield II, of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Russell Westerfield, of Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Cynthia Nevill, of Kennett and one half-sister, Ann Redman, of Benton, Ky.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, Mo. with the Rev. Steve Patterson officiating.
Burial was in the City cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
Clyde White
Clyde White, 81, of Kennett, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
Lillian Williams
Lillian Williams, 98, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at National Health Care in Kennett.
Born Aug. 15, 1903, in Caruth, Mo., she was the daughter of the late William and Susan Elizabeth Biggs Miles.
She married
Curt Williams, who preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1983. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Dewey, Curtis and Willie Miles and Zeke and Bill Earls and six sisters, Glendora Cook, Mayme Edwards, Mattie Horner, Melissa Wagster, Ada Biggs and Maggie Watkins.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Toombs and husband, Jim, of Kennett; two grandchildren, Terri Toombs, of Kennett and Susan Toombs, of Springfield, Mo. and 10 nieces, Polly Legan, Judy Richardson, Pauline Jones, Peggy Haberman, Barbara Sexton, Emma Jo and Rose Horner, Kathryn Hunter, Carolyn Workman and Carol Travis.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett with the Rev. Paul Lanning officiating.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Kennett.
Robert Younger
Robert Younger, 82, of Worden, Ill., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at his residence.

Jack Collins
Jack Collins, 76, of Bragg City, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Aug. 11, 1925, in Gideon, Mo., he was the son of the late Pink L. and Flora Mae Cravatt Collins.
On Dec. 27, 1949, he married
Lovina Williams, who survives of the home. Survivors also include three sons, Jackie, Virgil and Terry Collins, all of Bragg City; two daughters, Melba Osburn, of Kennett and Emma Kelley, of Caruthersville, Mo.; three sisters, Helen Wells, of Qulin, Mo., Francis Sanders, of Mt. Morris, Mich. and Emma Lou Tinsley, of Tiptonville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Paula Kay Collins and Treasa Sissom and one brother, Virgil Collins.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 24, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Gilead cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
Pallbearers were Danny and D.J. Emery, Tommy Sissom, Jimmy and Mike Strother and Tom Duncan.
Honorary pallbearers were Glen Whitlock and Randol Rudd.
Bertha Crumley
Bertha Louise Crumley, 87, of Doniphan, Mo., formerly of Wardell, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home in Hayti, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Quillen officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn cemetery in Hayti.

Sarah Jane Lewis, 69, of Cardwell, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at the Arkansas Methodist Hosptial in Paragould, Ark.

Charlsie Shelton
Charlsie M. Shelton, 83, of Clarkton, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Feb. 14, 1918, in Wooster, Ark., daughter of the late Earl and Callie Williams Bass, she was a teachers aide and a member of the Oak Grove and then the First Baptist Church in Clarkton. She was in the church choir, participated in the Black River Baptist Association and was a Sunday School teacher.
On Oct. 8, 1939, in Bernie, Mo., she married
Ernest Gilmore Shelton, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1991. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Maurice and Paul Bass and one sister, Berniece Overbey.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Earl Shelton and wife, Gail, of Springfield, Va. and Donald Gilmore Shelton and wife, Linda, of Kelso, Mo.; two daughters, Erna Kay Trease and husband, Richard, of St. Louis, Mo. and Amy Loraine Mullens and husband, Delton, of Ringgold, Ga.; one brother, Samuel Milton Bass, of Eureka, Ill.; one sister, Hazel Schoen, of Grand Junction, Colo.; five grandchildren, Lisa Gail Hunt, Brian Robert, Kevin Gilmore and Leslie Dawn Shelton and Adam Richard Trease and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, Mo.

Born Feb. 24, 1920, in Datto, Ark., daughter of the late James and Sinda Pierce Edwards, she was a Visiting Nurse Association volunteer, retired factory machine operator and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Holcomb.
On Dec. 4, 1937, in Holcomb, she married
James William Vaughn, who preceded her in death on March 28, 1987. She was also preceded in death by one son, Glen Vaughn; one brother, Noel Edwards and one sister, Florance Eddington.
Survivors include five daughters, Mae Eye, of Littleton, Colo., Beautonne Hoffman, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Donna Sue Maples and Deronda Quinn, both of Bowling Green and Dorothy Jean Quinn, of Norman, Okla; two sons, Jim Vaughn, of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Ken Vaughn, of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Jim Edwards, of Piedmont, Mo.; 19, grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Landess Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Sam Newman officiating.
Burial will follow at the Stanfield cemetery in Clarkton.

Albert Lee Weaver, 83, of Portageville, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at the Portageville Nursing Center.
Born Sept. 1, 1918, in Sikeston, Mo., son of the late Arvil Columbus and Mary Ellen Daniel Weaver, he attended the Church of Christ in Portageville.
On April 16, 1942, he married
Edith Leora Friel, who preceded him in death on Dec. 10, 1996. He was also preceded in death by one son, Buddy Weaver and five brothers, Connie, Dallas and Billy Weaver and Leonard and Johnny Graves.
Survivors include three sons, Elvis Weaver, of Portageville, Jerry Weaver, of Tallapoosa, Mo. and Bobby Weaver, of Kennett; four daughters, Martha Johnson, of Clarkton, Mo. and Mary Ann Weaver, Shirley McCasland and Ruby Wilkerson, all of Portageville; his step-mother, June Lee Johnson, of Tallapoosa; four brothers, Marion Weaver, of Venice, Calif., David Weaver, of Portageville, Junior Weaver, of Tallapoosa and Richard Weaver, of Aquilla, Mo.; two sisters, Pearl Roberts, of Oran, Mo., and Rende Robertson, of Malden, Mo.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Dewight Bryant officiating.
